Sam: How have you been? It’s been 6 weeks since I’ve heard from you.

Maria: Sorry, yeah. I’ve been busy.

Sam: You avoiding me?

Maria: Maybe a little.

Sam: I’m so sorry I brought up Chad and Nate. That was rude and insensitive.

Maria: You know I can’t stay mad at you for long. But maybe it’s best that we don’t bring up our past relationships in conversation.

Sam: Agreed.

Maria: Are you okay still…with us talking and reconnecting?

Sam: I am. It’s strange. It brings up a lot of memories and emotions. But I like it.

Maria: Me too.

Sam: Wanna get lunch tomorrow? My treat.

Maria: Of course.
