Four

As I enter work the next morning, Logan is already sitting at his desk. “Good morning, Megan,” he says as he hands me coffee and my itinerary for the day.

“Logan,” I respond and he goes right back to his daily duties.

There’s no mention or even expression that says he fucked me so hard last night I had to masturbate three times when I got home just from the thought.

No. He keeps his head down, typing away on his computer like he has every day since he started.

Richard enters my office twenty minutes later. “I see Logan’s still here. How has he been working for you?”

I inhale and nod. “I think we’ve found our groove.”

I glance out at Logan and when I see a smirk grow across his face I know he heard me, even though he’s still typing away.

“I know you’re a feminist so I mean no harm here, but sometimes you just need a man to come in and do the job. Glad I thought to hire him. I knew he would be just what you needed.”

I try to hide the tightness in my chest that’s making it hard to breathe.

He has no clue how bad I needed him in my life.

I guess he’ll be just fine as my assistant too.
