"She's vanilla."

That's what I told them. And they laughed, so I didn't take it back.

She was sweet. Easy. Always there. No games. No drama. No chase. I didn't have to try with her. Didn't have to impress her. Didn't have to wonder if she'd leave.

And that was the problem.

Easy gets boring. Or at least… that's what I told myself. Because the truth was, I didn't know what to do with someone who didn't make me fight for it. Didn't know how to handle someone who just… chose me.

So I made it smaller. Made her smaller. Turned something real into something casual. Something replaceable.

And I didn't think twice about it.
