7. Chapter 7 #2
Connor opened the door, pulling me through it with him and gently closing it behind us.
Suddenly, we were inside an old theater, one I hadn’t been inside before.
There were people milling around in glamorous gowns that made the cocktail dress I wore look overly casual, and maybe a tad too revealing, but Connor fit in almost perfectly.
When he tugged at his sleeves to straighten them, I watched the muscles in his hands flex.
“Come this way,” he said, grabbing my hand and leading me through the crowd. I looked for context clues—anything that could tell me what we were doing. Then, we stopped in front of one of the ushers blocking a stairway to the balcony. “Hey, Andrew. Is it full?”
Andrew looked closely at me before he decided how to answer. “About as full as usual, man. You can sit in suite two. It’s open tonight."
“You’re the best. I owe you one.” Connor clapped him on the shoulder before he took my hand again and led me up the stairs to one of the balconies, then into the suite where there were just four empty chairs. “I hope you like ballet,” he said.
“Do you sneak all the girls you are trying to impress in here?” I asked, taking the seat he offered. The view of the stage was perfect, and I could see the symphony warming up in the pit.
Connor shook his head. “I usually come here alone. I like to come here to think. I didn’t plan to come here tonight at all. Something told me you might enjoy doing something different than that steakhouse dinner you were at. Was I right?”
I ignored the sudden nerves tripping over each other to get to my throat and swallowed.
Then, I wrapped my fingers around the pearls on my neck, rubbing my finger over the smooth finish on one of them, and I nodded.
“Yeah, you were right. I’ve never snuck into the theater before.
” I looked at him, forgetting the way he had interrupted my admittedly subpar date.
“How did you find out about this place?”
“I have my ways.” So I’ve heard. Connor leaned toward me, draping his arm over my shoulder while the lights flashed and started to dim. “It’s starting.”
When the first round of dancers pranced onto the stage and the music started to swell, my excitement swelled with it.
I always felt some kind of way watching people perform on stage—almost like they were sharing their vulnerability with us.
It felt like an honest, almost sacred moment each time, and when the song ended and the dancers bowed, I clapped longer than most of those around me.
“What’s wrong?” I whispered when I looked over to find Connor staring intently at me instead of the stage. He shook his head.
“Nothing.” He leaned closer so he could whisper in my ear.
“I like seeing you this way. I like it a lot more than I liked seeing some full-of-shit man staring at you earlier.” My stomach dropped when his voice lowered on the second part.
I gasped and quickly covered my mouth when the music started up again.
“I told you, we were just having dinner. It was nothing. I just did it to make my mom happy.” I felt silly explaining it—even sillier when Connor widened his eyes in amusement.
When I started to blush, Connor tucked my hair behind my ear and traced his finger along my necklace, over my collarbone, and along the soft, sensitive crook of my neck.
“I don’t like to share, little pearl. You should probably know that now.
” He leaned toward me, and his lips hovered over my ear.
Connor inhaled, and goosebumps grew on my skin.
I forgot about them when he put his hand on my thigh and squeezed.
“If you’re going to be mine, then you’re all mine, no matter how many dates your mom wants you to go on. Do you understand?”
“Who says I’m gonna be yours?” I whispered, focusing more on his grip on my thigh than the performance starting again on the stage. When the music sped up and the crescendo grew louder, his hand crept up my leg, and the higher he got, the more I held my breath.
“I do,” Connor said, sliding his hand under the hem of my skirt.
I sucked in a sharp breath, quickly looking around us to make sure nobody else could see inside the suite.
Everybody’s eyes were directed at the stage, on the dancers spinning and swirling with the music.
“Do you disagree? Tell me no, and I’ll stop right now and take you back to your date. ”
Connor’s fingers traced over the lace separating him from my pussy, and my hips reflexively jerked forward. Was he really doing this here? When my legs separated slightly, my skirt slid up my thighs, and Connor’s smile grew wider. I shook my head. “I would rather stay right here.”
“I thought you might say that,” he whispered, running his finger along the lace until it was damp with my growing arousal. “Show me you want to be mine.”
His fingers pushed against my other thigh.
When I spread them further apart, exposing my barely-covered pussy to him and anyone else who happened to have a view of our seats, his eyes darkened.
When Connor slid the dainty fabric to the side, an involuntary whimper left my lips.
He moved to place his pointer finger over them.
“You’ve got to be quiet now,” he said, guiding his other finger along my slit and teasing me. “Can you do that?” I nodded, rolling my lips together and clamping down when his finger slipped past my lips and circled my clit.
“Good, just like that,” he encouraged when my eyes rolled back. I couldn’t believe he was doing this. When I left to go out with Peter, I didn’t expect to end up at the ballet, learning Connor had an expert touch I hadn’t felt before. If you’re going to be mine, you’re all mine.
When the dancer spun, my mind spun with her, but when she stopped, mine kept going.
The tension between my legs started to build with each small circle he drew around my clit; with each whimper I swallowed, he continued.
It was like he conducted the music with his touch, speeding up when the violins did, slowing down with the cellos, and, with each trill from the wind section, my legs trembled.
“You really like the ballet, don’t you?” He fluttered his fingers inside me, curling them against my g-spot in a come-hither motion. “Or maybe you just like the way I touch you. Just. Like. This. Is that it?” When my breath hitched and I moaned, he grinned, driving his fingers deeper.
Just when I thought I might come, Connor stopped, pulling his fingers from me and grabbing my hips.
He lifted me from my seat, placing me in his lap with one leg straddled on either side of him, my bare pussy in easy reach.
Then, he slid his fingers back inside me, and I was thankful for the climax of the symphony, because it drowned out the wet sound of my pussy clenching around him.
His left hand brushed over my collarbone, and he traced along my necklace before he twisted it around his finger once and held it, closing his hand around my neck.
The tips of his fingers pressed against my skin, providing hazy comfort that made it harder to breathe, but with his hands on me, I wasn’t sure I needed air.
“Shh, shh, shh,” he warned while the tension in my core grew tighter.
I nodded, moving my head faster when my legs started to shake.
I whined, and a small whimper left my lips right as there was a pause in the music.
I gasped, nearly ready to jump out of my skin, but so close to the edge that I couldn’t bring myself to try.
“Do you want everyone to hear you come? I hoped that was just for me,” he said quietly against my ear, leaving a trail of goosebumps with his breath.
Connor moved his hand from my neck, placing it over my mouth.
The pearls I wore were still wrapped around his finger, and I parted my lips.
My tongue darted quickly over the necklace, earning a low, quiet growl.
Then, he slipped his finger into my mouth, pressing down on my tongue and pushing deeper, gagging my moans with the smooth jewelry and the salty taste of his skin.
The way my body shook in his lap spurred him on, and when he claimed me with his fingers, I was sure everyone could hear us, even though there was no way they could.
I sucked while my back arched, and my hips levitated from his lap.
I clamped my eyes shut when I felt a burning sensation start in my toes, working its way to my core.
When it got there, it felt like I was going to scream, or like I was going to pee, but Connor didn’t stop.
He coaxed every cracked and muffled whimper from my lips while my release rocked through me.
Waves of pleasure rolled through my body with the tempo of the music, and when I sighed, the audience awed.
My release washed over Connor’s hand, leaving shimmering drops on my thighs that rolled slowly down my skin.
When Connor finally stopped, the audience stood around us.
I dropped against his chest, gasping for air while the applause filled the auditorium.
Dancers bowed on the stage, but I couldn’t take my eyes from Connor when he brought his fingers to his mouth and sucked them before setting them against my lips to offer me the remnants. I opened my mouth, accepting the taste.
“What did you think of the show?” Connor chuckled lightly before he pressed his lips against my temple, as if he didn’t just make a mess of me in the probably very expensive suite of a very public theater. Still, I wanted him to do it again—even if people could see us. Did that mean we were dating?
I released a long exhale I felt in my core. “I think I like the ballet even more now.”
Connor chuckled.
“I think you just like me.”
