Epilogue

It was incredible how one encounter could change a person’s whole life. Especially one night at the kink club.
Azlan bought us a house about an hour from the resort.
We both worked at the resort, and as the newest owner my mate put in a free daycare center for employees in a separate area where guests had no access.
I could check on Theo anytime I wanted. In the beginning, it meant I could pop in and chest feed and that helped me the most when I had to return.
Azlan knew that keeping my job and my source of income was important to me and my independence. He would never hurt me or leave me but insisted I bank my own money so I would never again feel trapped.
As if I would with him.
An alpha like mine wasn’t put off by me having my own money.
On the rare occasion a villa was open, we would get Uncle Eddie over to babysit and spend a night or two there, reliving the time when we met and fell in love.
The days and weeks and months flew by, not every moment perfect happy because we were people, but more blissful than I’d ever dreamed life could be.
I was headed back from a villa one day when the daycare center called me. Ava, one of Theo’s teachers asked me to come in quickly. She said nothing was wrong but she wanted me to come in as soon as possible.
When I got there, Azlan was already there, smiling almost as big as the night we found out I was expecting.
“What is it?”
Ava was on the floor with Theo, and her smile was equally contagious. “I thought…he’s so close. I saw this video online where you put something in each hand and I didn’t want to try it without you two here.”
“Try what?”
She put a small ball in each of Theo’s hands and then a miracle happened.
Our little cub walked for the first time…straight to his papa. Azlan crouched down and caught him up and the whole center, all the teachers and even one of the other babies clapped for our son.
His first steps. And I got to see them.
“What a big boy,” I said as he reached for me with grabby hands. “I can’t believe it. Ava, thank you so much.”
“I knew you two would want to be here.”
“Thank you, Ava. That means a lot.” Azlan came over and hugged us both. We were so happy here and I didn’t know the kind of love that my mate gave me was something I would ever have.
“We have to tell Uncle Eddie,” I said, kissing Theo’s chubby cheeks.
“Are you off for the day?” Azlan asked.
“Yeah, are you?”
“I am. I’m going to take my two guys out for dinner. A celebration. Also, it’s our anniversary, omega.”
I gasped. “Oh my goddess, Azlan. I didn’t…I…”
“It’s okay. We are so busy and you work your tail off for us. Your alpha remembered. That’s the most important part. Let’s go, love. We have a lot to celebrate.”
