EPILOGUE

MAKAYL

It’s been ten years since we lost my dad, twelve since we lost Trunk and fifteen since Pops left us, only five since we lost Alma, and now Nic, Luc and I are sitting in rocking chairs watching the Great-Great Grandkids find their mates, our first Great-Great-Great is on the way.

Liam finally found his mate, who happened to be one of Felix’s Babies.

Nate found two in Luna’s set of Twins. Luc met his human mate in town when she tripped and took out Amelia’s bedding stall a few months ago, and is planning to bring her into the know of the supernatural.

She grew up in care but was a lucky one and owns her own business making jams and pickles.

Makes you wonder if I hadn’t had that one-night stand, if Ember hadn’t survived and made it to us, a lot of people could have missed out on a lot of happiness.

Everything happens for a reason, and just like my daughter has, life is what you make it; it just takes work, no matter where you start out.

A Phoenix will always be born from Ashes.
