Chapter 24 #2
Back when I first found out about her getting pregnant.
I was mad as fuck but since her pregnancy was high risk I had planned on splitting my time up between her and Yanna.
I didn’t fuck with Maddie but at the same time I did.
We had history and a part of me would always have love for her.
I had came home late one night after kicking it with Yanna.
I was feeling guilty for being short with Maddie.
Like Déjà vu I walked in on her snickering with Josie.
Maddie was telling Josie how she made it look like she was trying to kill herself but she didn’t cut herself that deep just enough to make it seem real.
I was so fucking heated I could have killed Maddie that night.
Even after knowing she aborted my seed, I felt like Maddie let her emotions get the best of her.
I didn’t agree but I didn’t think ill of her.
After that I saw Maddie for the conniving bitch she really was.
Then I decided it was fuck her and everything she stood for.
I came to realize Maddie was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
She put on to hide her true self. I felt like everything about her good girl persona was all cap and the bitch I thought I knew and love wasn’t real.
If I couldn’t trust you then there was no need for you to be around me.
Outside of my seed I had nothing for Maddie.
Maddie sighed deeply, “Niko li-“
I cut her off immediately. Maddie wasn’t comprehending me being nice to her.
”At the end of the day I’m where I wanna be. I live with who I wanna live with. Nothing finna change that,” I wasn’t finna keep handling her with kid gloves when she wasn’t trying to listen.
”WOW. So what you saying Niko? You wanna be with that bitch over me?” Maddie aksed sounding appalled.
”Yeah, I wanna be with Yanna,” I plainly said so Maddie wouldn’t have anymore confusion.
“Why are yo being so cold towards me Niko? I don’t get it. All the stuff I put up with you . I made a mistake and you threw me away like I don’t mean shit to you!” Maddie screeched into the phone faking like she was so hurt.
”Bruh, you outta yo’ mind if you thinki killing two of my seed was a fucking mistake. Did you forget the only way I found out? Bitch you was cackling on the phone with yo’ ho’ ass friend. What you said, fuck how I feel? Yeah, I feel the same way too.”
”I was mad Niko.”
“Nah, you thought you was teaching me a lesson but the shit backfired on you.”
“Can you come see me? Let me make it up to you please.” Maddie switched of from crying to trying to sound sexy that quick.
“Get the fuck off my phone with that shit Maddie,” I snapped at her. “Matter a fact I’m finna walk in my dad’s I’ll talk to you later.” I hung up Maddie before she had the chance to say anything else.
I had just pulled into my dad’s driveway and I was aggraveted as fuck already.
Maddie had gotten on my nerves. I debated about taking my ass back home cause I wasn’t in the mood to deal with Will.
Seeing his car parked outside our dad’s house reminded me I was finna have to listen to him complain like the little bitch he was.
If it wasn’t for our dad I would have pulled the fuck off and said fuck this shit.
Instead I got out my car, got Zuriyah’s car seat, and diaper bag out of the car.
When I walked past Will’s car I noticed he had some light skin broad sitting in his passenger seat.
This nigga, he was in his feelings over Yanna when he already had another bitch.
I shook my head as I headed up the steps to my dad’s house.
Once I made it to his front door it opened and Mrs.Connie greeted me.
”Hey baby how are you?” She said giving me a side hug then stepping back to let me into the house.
”I’m straight. You good?”
Mrs.Connie had always been nice to me for the most part but I always felt like she didn’t view me as her step-son.
She’d always made sure she emphasized Will was her son and I was Addien’s son.
I never gave a fuck forreal I just knew when it all was said and done Mrs.Connie was riding for Will.
Which is why I never went out my way to build a relationship with her outside of us being cordial.
“Of course. Is this the little cutie that’s causing all the chaos?” Mrs. Connie said looking down at Zuriyah.
”Ain’t no chaos over here Ms.Connie we good.” I plainly told her, whatever bullshit Will was telling her held no weight over here. “Where my dad?”
“They’re outback.” Mrs.Connie said leading me through their house to the French doors that lead to their backyard. She opened the door stepping through them and I followed her.
My dad and Will were seated across from each other. Both of them looked up at me. Mrs. Connie went and sat next to my dad on the black wicker sofa.
“What up,” I greeted them both sitting down in the chair in between them placing Zuriyah’s car seat between my legs.
“Hey son.” My dad greeted me. “Let me see my grand baby.” My dad reached over grabbing Zuriyah’s car seat. He gently unstrapped Zuriyah and lifted her from her car seat.
It was crazy how big she’d grown in a month.
Zuriyah wasn’t a chunky baby but she was still growing like a weed.
Her long ass was finna be tall when she grew up.
I love my baby girl looked just like me.
The only difference we had was her sin was a little darker than mine, Zuriyah had a peanut butter skin complexion.
“Hey pawpaw baby,” My dad cooed as he kissed Zuriyah on her cheek. I saw Will scowling at them like he had a problem.
”You cool? Yo looking at Zuriyah like you got a problem with her.” I asked Will. I wasn’t feeling how he was staring at Zuriyah.
“Maannn,” WIll said Turing his head.
My dad let out a sigh as he repositioned Zuriyah in his arms.“What’s going on with y’all? I don’t like that my sons are beefing.”
“I’m not beefing with a soul. I’m chilling.” I replied calmly. “Will the one with the issue.”
”You damn right I got a problem. You fucking my ex and expect me to be okay with the shit!” Will yelled with hella base in his voice. I laughed cause the nigga was only doing all this cause our dad was here.
“You ain’t got no other choice. We got a whole baby together.”
“That don’t make the shit right either!” Will said with his chest puffed out.
“Nigga you acting like anybody knew you fucked with Yanna like that. My nigga when I first met Yanna I ain’t know shit about you fucking with her. As far as I knew she wasn’t fucking with you or no other nigga.”
“But once you found out you should have cut that shit off.”
“It was too late,” I replied, shrugging my shoulders. “I don’t know what you expect from me. My seed here now. That ain’t finna change and I’m not switching up how I move with Yanna cause you in yo’ feelings.”
“That’s bullshit. You don’t have to fuck with Yanna to be a dad.” Will threw up his hands up in the air.
“Son, Niko has a point. It wasn’t like you were only with Yanna at the time.
I can’t count how many girls you’ve brought around this last year.
I didn’t even think you were serious about Yanna.
The couple of times you brought her around the next day you’d have another girl with you.
” Our dad said putting Will’s ass on blast.
“That’s besides the point dad. If I say a bitch off limits she should be off limits!” Will said sound like a little kid throwing a tantrum.
“Did you forget you offered for me to fuck her for a band? You said yo’ mutha fuckin’ self you ain’t fuck with her like that,” I said as I grilled that nigga.
His ass got quiet when I brought up our conversation from a few months ago when I used him to get in contact with Yanna when she called herself ignoring me. His corny ass forgot all about that.
“I wasn’t forreal,” Will said unconvincingly.
“You a fuckin’ lie. I already know you called her and you got in yo’ feelings when you found out she was pregnant. I don’t see how you ain’t put two and two together. Since when have I ever paid for pussy. I was trying to see what type of shit Yanna was on.”
“If you don’t mind me saying. I think Yanna is the problem. She seemed nice but hopping between brothers speaks to her character.” Mrs. Connie said.
“No disrespect but Yanna ain’t hopping between nothing. Yo’ son acting like a bitch. She moved on and he can’t deal with it.”
I wasn’t finna let Mrs. Connie or nobody else throw dirt on Yanna’s name.
“You see how he so quick to defend her. She was just in my face at Yaro’s block party. Trying fuck me but ain’t say shit about that.”
Will was really trying it with this poor me shit. At the end of the day he didn’t really want Yanna. He just didn’t want us fucking around cause he was a hater. He couldn’t deal with the fact that Yanna didn’t want him.
“Nigga,” I sighed. I couldn’t tell who was more delusional Will or Maddie. “Yanna tells me everything. I already know how that conversation went. Let the shit go.”
“You wouldn’t be saying that shit if I fucked Maddie.” Will exclaimed.
“Go head,” I answered calmly and unbothered. I damn near felt like I should hook their asses up.
“Will calm down.” Our dad commanded in a firm voice.
“Niko and Yanna have a baby together and honestly that trumps whatever situation you previously had with Yanna. You have to respect the boundaries your brother set in place. Zuriyah makes them a family.” Or dad shocked me by taking my side.
I don’t know why I felt like he was going to side with Will.
“Wooow, that’s crazy.” Will grunted looking just as shocked as I felt.
“Ion get how you doing all this but you literally got a broad sitting in yo’ car right now. You can’t possibly be that bothered.” I said nonchalantly looking over at Will.
“I just don’t see why you want to fuck with Yanna. Can’t you just take care of that baby and leave her alone,”
