The Melody and the Master #2
Siofra gazed into the dark sprawl of forest, trying to discern his meaning without making him explain it.
Her pulse rushed at the shape of him, the commanding press of his hips against the middle of her back, buckling her knees.
His muscled arms, passing again along hers as he reached to point, pushed her heart into her throat.
“Everything.” Desemir answered the question she couldn’t bring herself to ask. The raw sentiment in his voice disarmed her. “Everything you see in front of you, Siofra, is now yours as well. It will all belong to your son one day.”
Siofra lost her battle with the sway, which sent her head falling back against his chest.
“As far as your eyes can take you, there is nothing but what is ours. Nothing, and no one.” He took a step back.
Before she could turn, he’d released the ties at the back of her nightgown, and it fell to the stones in an unceremonious heap.
“No one can see you out here. No one but me. Not Pesha. Not the greedy, grasping men of Darkwood Run. Out here, you are truly free.”
Siofra rushed to cover herself, her nudity, but Desemir peeled her hands back in gentle strokes and settled them back at her sides.
“This is freedom, Siofra.” Desemir’s hot breath teased her scalp.
He brushed his palms along her hips, traveling across the arcs of them, bowing inward as his hands met on her belly.
“Freedom to live. Freedom to feel. There is no past or future out here. There is only right now. You’ve been making choices for yourself, for what you want, since you arrived on my doorstep. So choose.”
Desemir’s fingers danced a path farther down.
Reflex drove Siofra to rise to the tips of her toes as his hand plunged lower, slipping between her legs.
Her head arced upward in breathless surrender, hair wedged between her back and his chest. He brought his mouth down to hers, causing her to radiate a song of her desire against the crush of his tongue.
Desemir stroked the length of her, driving her higher up on her toes in thrall to ecstasy. He pressed just the tips of his fingers inside her, enough for her to know that if he stopped, if he didn’t go deeper, she would lose her mind.
“Let go. Whatever haunts you, it can’t find you here.” His warm breath tickled her ear.
He slipped his fingers out, returning his focus to the sensitized bundle of flesh that separated her from her old life.
Her toes curled, legs turning to jelly. Desemir caught her, gathering one firm arm around her torso to bring her up off the stones and hold her aloft.
The other plunged back between her legs.
“You said no one has ever asked you what you wanted.” He moaned against her ear. He rolled his hips against her, the thick throb trapped by his trousers an agonizing tease. It wasn’t enough. It wasn’t nearly enough. “I’m asking you now, Siofra.”
Siofra didn’t know how to articulate her needs, to describe the relentless crests of pleasure lifting her higher and higher up off the stones, out of her skin. “I want...” She drew in her lip.
Desemir pinched his fingers, and desire swelled through her like waves cresting and crashing on the shore. He held her suspended, while she thrashed in yearning, her aches becoming needs, becoming desires.
She knew what had happened because she’d made herself come before, late at night when she was the last one awake. Hand under her blanket as she whimpered in silence.
Nothing had prepared her for how it would feel guided by skilled hands.
When Siofra’s quakes softened to shudders, Desemir eased her back to the ground. Her skin on fire, she clung to the ledge for purchase, inviting the cool surge of stone that had only moments ago been unwelcome.
“More?” he whispered, leaning in to nip at her earlobe.
“More, yes.” She panted. “But I’m ready for something else now.”
Desemir fumbled with his belt behind her. She heard his trousers fall, felt him step out of them. His bare flesh covered hers from behind. His bulge, once painfully restrained, had been freed and pulsed against her ass.
Who am I? she wondered as she lifted herself once more, to receive him a different way. It was an act born of instinct, not experience, but his fractured groan told her it was right. His hands, cupped underneath her, jerked upward, parting her, and they both cried out as he slid into her.
Desemir buried himself to the hilt and stilled.
His organ jerked inside her, and she melted in anticipation she was wholly unprepared for.
There was pain, but Siofra was no stranger to pain, and if that was the punishment for surrendering her innocence, she welcomed it, for she knew what real pain was.
“Does it hurt?” Desire scorched his voice. “I can go as slow as you need.”
“It doesn’t hurt.” Siofra moaned, shaking her head. She rocked back against him. “And I don’t want you to go slow.”
Siofra clung to the balcony as Desemir thrust forward. She lost herself to the force of his gentle but brutal intimacy and wondered again who she was, who she’d become... whether she was meant to be there, or if this was merely a taste of what could be if she were someone else.
He hastened, their flesh slapping as he entangled his hand in her soft curls and screamed into the night, filling her with a torrent of warmth. His cries echoed against the nothingness, fading as the warmth did.
Desemir released her and stumbled back. She held tight to the balcony, struggling to find solid footing as she strained to recover her senses.
But then he scooped an arm under her ass and lifted her. He carried her across the stones to the other end of the balcony before easing them both onto a long, soft chaise.
Desemir spun her in his arms and landed her so she was astride him. Siofra looked down at the gleam of sweat sheening his muscled chest. His green eyes turned amber when his head rolled back and caught the moonlight.
Siofra ran her hands along the lower edge of his belly... the rough patch of hair beneath... and just below that...
She looked up. Desemir raked his tongue along his bottom lip and nodded with a drawn-out blink.
I like this. I want this.
I may not know the words to tell him, but I can show him.
Siofra rolled her hips upward, and when they came back down, sliding over the length of him, there was no longer even a whisper of pain. This time, she was in control.
