Apartment 14 (Apartment #1)
Chapter 1
Let’s see what you did wrong today.
One, you didn’t say good morning to the lady at the register. She didn’t look very happy about that.
Remember that time you didn’t say good morning to your teacher, and your mom looked disappointed at you? I’m sure she would look at you the same now.
Silly Tilly, still making the same mistakes.
Two, you didn’t give your dad a call. I’m sure he was waiting the whole day.
I’m sure he’s waiting every day, and you never call.
Your relationship is horrible, and yet you don’t try fixing it.
I’m sure many people would love a dad to call, and here you are, not calling your own.
You’re such a disappointment. A disgrace, a pathetic excuse for a daughter and friend.
I’m sure your friends are secretly talking behind your back.
Yana and Zara were probably talking about how annoying you are this evening.
Three, you didn’t helpthe lady with her bags.
Oh Tilly, it seemed so small, but that lady might be thinking about how rude you were right now.
She’s probably thinking about how stupid your generation is, because of you.
How does it feel making a whole generation look bad?
Tilly, you silly, silly girl.
So small and weak and disappointing.
When you wake up tomorrow, make sure to apologize. Or don’t.
Last year, your teammate said you apologize too much. Remember that?
I’m sure it’s so annoying, having someone say they are sorry all the time.
But how rude would it be not to apologize?
Maybe just stay silent, and don’t do anything wrong, Tilly, then you wouldn’t need to apologize.
You’re such a burden, always doing something wrong.
How is it that you are hiding so much of yourself, yet you still mess up?
How can your ‘perfect’ version still be so messy?
Silly Tilly, sleep is so close yet so far, just like you are to being perfect.
Oh, never mind.
You are nowhere near close to being perfect.
