36. Chapter 35
Tucker
Even though the news broke last night and it seemed Bradley and his family had gone into hiding, everyone had to take their guards with them to school again today. Much to Ari, Leyla, and Potter’s irritation.
The last thing we needed was to pull away security right after this news broke. It could make people suspicious that we were involved with the leak of information and no one was going to risk that possible outcome.
Also, just because they were in hiding didn’t mean the threat was gone.
I wasn’t going to be the one to break that news to Leyla and Potter, but I could manage my wife.
As much as she might not have liked it, she understood that this bomb would rock the five families and we’d need to be extra vigilant while shit got sorted.
Sandro
Thinking of picking up roses from the market for Valentina today. The foyer is looking a little dull.
Over the summer, Sandro and I had worked on coming up with and memorizing code words to help us communicate in a way that wouldn’t give anything away if it was found. The code could be the message, or in this case, the code would tell me we needed to talk.
Roses said that he wanted to talk to me. The market meant it was about business. The foyer signaled it was a family matter. Having both in the same text confused and worried me after yesterday’s bomb was dropped.
We each had a satellite phone with a secured line that couldn’t be tapped, so I knew this meant he wanted me to call.
Me
Sounds nice. I bet she’d love that. What color are you thinking? Red?
Sandro
I was thinking about lavender.
Me
She does seem to like purple. A dozen would probably look nice there.
Sandro
I agree. Thanks.
I let out a sigh of relief as I sat back in my chair.
Any shade of purple meant that it wasn’t an emergency, just to call when I could.
I had my first morning of classes this morning and would have a break around noon.
Thankfully, he agreed that would be a good time, so it looked like I’d be taking the sat phone and calling from my car.
Even though his message said it wasn’t urgent, I struggled to listen in my classes. They seemed to drag by as anticipation coursed through me. When the professor let us out at about eleven thirty, I couldn’t wait to get to my car and make the call.
Sean trailed after me and as much as I trusted him, I didn't want him privy to this call. “Wait outside the car.”
He gave me a small nod of acknowledgement and leaned against the hood while I closed the door and powered up the phone.
I dialed the number I’d memorized, not wanting to risk someone finding the phone and having a way to get ahold of Sandro. The phone rang twice before he answered.
“A little earlier than expected.”
Even though he’d told me it wasn’t urgent, hearing his voice sound calm helped to soothe my nerves. “Class let out early and I’ve been on edge since your text.”
“Understandable. Sorry to have worried you. I just wanted to discuss what’s happened since the news aired last night. I assume Ari is still protected by her guard?”
I scoffed. “Of course. All of the Givenchy’s are. We thought it would look odd if suddenly they weren’t escorted everywhere. It would make everyone question why we suddenly stopped.”
Sandro let out a hum. “Good thinking. The syndicate called an emergency meeting last night. Half of the Carbone lieutenants have gone into hiding to evade the FBI. Pinkston was taken into custody, as was the Bronx police assistant chief. Since no one knew about us catching Pinkston double crossing my father, no eyes turned our way. The Accardi’s are the only ones that know about us getting out of the sex trade, but with the brothel up and running, and the fact that we don’t have to smuggle women across state or national borders for that, they didn’t seem concerned about the bust happening in the Bronx.
“If anything, Adriano probably sees this as an opportunity for him to expand. With eyes on the Bronx, it leaves the rest of us with a little breathing room. Federally speaking, anyway. There’s a chance that local police will want to crack down, but I’m not too concerned.
It was agreed though that if the Blackwoods are found, they are to die.
Obviously, Carbone wants their heads so we agreed it would be his kill.
When I hear something, I’ll let you know. ”
I let out a sigh of relief, glad that nothing seemed to be coming back on us. Yet. But if there was a lot of commotion in the city and the families were scrambling, would this change things for Sandro? “Did this fuck up wedding plans?” It hadn’t even crossed my mind when Ari gave us the intel.
“Nah. Calling off or postponing the wedding would be a red flag to authorities. And honestly, I think that Adriano is relieved to not have to keep an eye on Valentina during all of this.”
The fact that Ari was still talking to her brother told me he’d found a way around the hymen check. I hadn’t asked because I wasn’t going to get in the middle of sibling drama. I had enough bullshit to deal with without including Vitale tempers.
“Good. I look forward to seeing you say your nuptials in a few weeks.” I smiled thinking about Sandro settling down. He was hating every moment of it right now and I could picture him flipping me off through the phone.
He huffed. “That makes one of us. Listen,” a sigh came down the line and I hated how stressed he had to be right now, “when you all come in, bring force. I don’t want to risk that anyone uses this as an opportunity to ambush us.”
I knew what he wasn’t saying. His guys would have to look after him and Valentina if shit hit the fan. He wanted me to make sure Ari was protected at all costs.
That wasn’t something he had to worry about. That woman was my life, my Vita Mia, and I would die before letting anything happen to her.
Potter strolled into my house like he owned the place, but I couldn’t really complain. That was just how my family was. I couldn’t think of a single time I’d stopped to knock and wait to be let in at any or my uncle’s homes, so why would it be different here?
It was also one of the reasons I couldn't fuck my wife just wherever I wanted in my home and christen every surface.
“You have no idea how ready I am to get laid tonight.” He chuckled as he scrubbed a hand down his face when he dropped into the chair across from me.
“My ballsack is going to go from the size of a grapefruit from all the semen accumulating in there to basically empty by tomorrow morning. I’m going to fuck and cum so much that it’ll take my balls days to make anything else. ”
Having Leyla, Potter, and their boy toys over tonight was Ari’s idea. One I wasn’t especially thrilled about since it meant my sister was going to be having sex in my house, but according to my wife, if the two of them didn’t get laid soon, they were going to become a risk.
She wasn’t wrong. We’d been lucky that so far neither had tried to ditch their security. The fact that both of them had played along and followed the rules meant we needed to make sure they got to blow off a little steam or else they were going to make our lives infinitely more difficult.
“Who’s the lucky guy?” Potter had never been in a serious relationship. He liked to have a friends with benefits situation if not a one-night-stand. Settling down didn’t seem to be in his future, but when his eyes met mine, his cheeks flushed, I wondered if this guy was different.
“Carlisle. He’s a junior at our school and fine as fuck. We hooked up at the bonfire and he’s been leading me around by the dick ever since.”
My eyebrows raised as a grin crossed my lips. “I can’t wait to meet him.”
Ari and Leyla walked in the room, smiles on their faces as well. “So is it official with him yet, or is he still playing hard to get?”
Leyla laughed at Ari’s words and smirked. “Or maybe he’s not willing to settle because he knows he can get better dick elsewhere?”
Pott scoffed. “Please. I’m a Givenchy. More than the blue eyes are hereditary. We all also have monster cocks.”
I reached over and gave him a fist bump as Ari chuckled and Leyla gagged.
The alert on my phone told me their guests were here a few seconds before the doorbell rang. These guys must have been just as desperate as Leyla and Potter if they’d made it from the gate to the front door so quickly.
My sister squealed and jumped off the couch, running to the door and jumping in the arms of the guy on the other side. I knew Jack from school since he was just a year younger than me and the quarterback of the football team.
Behind him stood a quiet, nerdy looking guy. He didn’t look at all like Potter’s usual type, which told me that this guy really was different. Either that, or he was the last guy at the school willing to hook up with Potter. He really had run through a lot of guys.
“Hey, Lisle.” Pott pushed Ley and Jack out of the way, then grabbed the shy guy by his belt buckles and roughly pulled him forward so their hips connected just a second before their lips did.
“Awww.” Ari laid her head against my arm and a hand on my chest. “They grow up so fast.”
Potter flipped her off from where his hands were holding Carlisle’s face in place. Leyla and Jack seemed to be glued together, not noticing anyone else was still there.
“You’ve both got rooms. Please only fuck in those. We don’t want to see it.” I’d already seen more than I wanted to in the minute or so since Leyla had opened the door.
Seemed like that was all the encouragement they needed and both couples ran up the steps, doors slamming shortly after.
Ari chuckled, then took my hand, leading me out back. “Let’s go wait by the pool so we don’t have to hear any ungodly noises. Lord knows they’ll both be putting on a show to outdo one another.”
After quickly changing into our suits, we headed out back and hopped in the pool for a bit while the sun was still up. Once it set, it would be too chilly for the pool, but hopefully by then, the others would have joined us and we could hop in the hot tub.
As much as I knew this night was about my sister and cousin getting some time to do things they hadn’t been able to do since they had a twenty-four-seven security detail, I was also looking forward to spending some time with them and getting to know the new guys in their lives.
While I may have hated the thought of my sister with a guy, I knew that one day she would want to settle down and get married. Honestly, I wanted her to find someone that made her as happy as Ari made me. That’s why I was going to try to get to know Jack a little better.
That, and if he seemed to be like Bradley, I was going to start preparing to take care of the problem now before it got out of hand.
Potter and Carlisle joined us first, jumping in the pool right as the sky started turning orange before the sun set. They both had that freshly fucked smile that had Ari hugging me and biting onto my shoulder to hold in her giggle.
Leyla and Jack emerged a few minutes later, and though I’d just decided to give Jack a chance, I couldn’t look at him for a bit because I wouldn’t be able to handle seeing that same smirk on his face.
“Aww. Pott. Turned into a two pump chump already?” Leyla couldn’t help but rile Potter up. I firmly believed it was her favorite pass time.
Though, Potter was also a shit stirrer, so he wasn’t really bothered by her and usually upped the ante.
Throwing an arm around Carlisle’s shoulder, he smirked at me, then looked at my sister.
“I can’t help it that Carlisle can suck my soul through my dick in a couple minutes flat.
” Pott pressed a quick kiss to the guy's lips, then returned his attention to my sister. “But don’t worry, he wasn’t complaining when I did the same.
Maybe we can give you some pointers later. ”
“Potter.” The last thing I wanted to think about was my sister's mouth on a guy's dick. Just because it probably happened, didn’t mean I needed to hear or think about it.
Of course, Leyla didn’t heed my warning. “Maybe later we can have a contest and see who can suck off their partner faster.”
Jack’s arm landed around my sister's shoulder, pulling her to him, but much to my surprise, he didn’t agree with her.
While his words were soft, I could still hear them.
“I really don’t want your brother to hate me and I didn’t make a great impression by following you upstairs so fast when I got here, so can we please drop this topic? ”
Leyla’s eyes caught mine as I smiled, and she stuck her tongue out at me. “Fine. Though you should know, if he likes you, I probably won’t be interested for too long. Gotta keep him on his toes.” When she followed it with a wink to me, Ari burst out laughing.
Her hand landed on my chest as she decided to console me. “Don’t worry, Amore. We can join the contest too. I feel pretty confident I’d win.”
Leyla’s gag had me chuckling. I loved how much my wife fit in with my family, and the fact that she could cause chaos with the best of them, getting my sister to fall in line when I couldn’t, was just the icing on the cake.
