Chapter 27
Chapter
Twenty-Seven
Ronan
“Fuck, I should have stayed,” Nikolai cursed for the fifteenth time on the drive back to Widow’s Peak.
“We’re pack,” I reassured him. “Breathe.”
He glared at me but I turned up the radio, singing along though my mind was racing with the possibilities of who would betray the Crows. Luca explained his theories on it being someone close to us all, but that didn’t leave a lot of men.
My father was the suspicious type and we all had our loyal Crows. Not all of them… in fact, not many, interacted with us all regularly.
“Finally,” he breathed out as we approached Widow’s Peak. It was a ghost town this time of night. The only place that had any activity was Club 21. Something we’d have to check out with our omega one of these days.
I just had to make sure our enemies didn’t come bursting through the bubble of safety they’d created here.
My body instantly relaxed as we pulled up behind Aries’s SUV. The house was dark and silent. Not surprising as it neared midnight. She woke up early for her morning run.
Nikolai burst out of the van the moment I put it in park, rushing toward the door. Luca and I followed a bit slower, exhausted thanks to being up for far too long, dealing with the assholes who planned to ambush us, and driving back.
“What’s wrong?” I asked carefully. Nikolai was still standing on the porch, his back to us, unmoving. His muscles were so tense I was shocked he didn’t hurt himself.
“Here.” His voice was dull and hollow.
Since you want to act like we’re not a pack, I secured you a bachelor pad in town. Here’s the address, key is under the mat at your feet.
Sleep well, boys.
“Oh, she was mad,” I whistled low as I handed it to Luca to read. She’d not only locked us out, but moved us across town. “Can you feel her?”
“No,” he admitted. “I closed it down while we dealt with the job, then when I opened it, she was locked down.”
“Don’t worry, boys, I’ll handle this,” I mused, a plan already forming in my mind. “Why don’t you go get comfortable in the van.”
“LIke hell,” Nik growled, ready to fight me now. He was itching for a fight to expel his frustration but he wouldn’t find it with me.
“You’re too close to this and if you rut her again, you could push her further away.
” My words hit like I expected, a direct attack that had him flinching.
He knew damn well I was right. Honestly, he was lucky he didn’t cause irreparable damage.
If they didn’t have a history, he absolutely would have.
“Fine,” he bit out. Luca was already turning away, trusting me implicitly. I waited until they were back in the van before I moved through the shadows around the back of the house.
I’d noticed Aries likes fresh air, and it was one of those nights that a breeze would be necessary to avoid a stuffy house. I generally read people easily but she being our scent match might make that a bit difficult.
The grass under my feet cushioned my steps and I kept my body low enough to not be seen through the windows. I knew better than to assume she had left open her balcony doors, not even bothering to try them.
Her bedroom window was cracked, just a little. Enough to push my fingers into and raise slowly. The window was new enough it didn’t protest the movement, shifting smoothly up enough that I could climb through.
Gripping the frame, I hoisted myself up, peeking through the gauzy curtains to take in her room.
Below the window was a small reading chair. It looked vintage, which might pose a problem, but I wasn’t turning back now.
I’d already committed.
Aries herself was asleep in her bed, a sea of pillows and plush blankets covering her.
With a deep breath, I lifted myself in fully, shifting forward and testing my weight on the chair. It groaned, but if I moved slow enough, it didn’t give me away.
Finally, I sat down in it fully, giving myself a moment to relax after climbing through.
The moonlight spilling through let me see enough to take in her space. Red was prominent in here, from the fabrics to the art. With the white walls, it stood out even more.
She was a minimalist for an omega. There was a bookshelf, her bed, a chair to read in that I currently sat in, and two doors. I assumed one was likely a nest, the other a bathroom.
Her soft, even breaths filled the room. Thank god she wasn’t a light sleeper.
I managed to stand and shrug out of my shoes, jacket, and jeans, leaving me in a boxer and my tee. As I crept closer and peeled back her blanket, a smile split across my face.
She was wearing my shirt. She’d stolen it before kicking us out. Mad, but definitely hope for redemption.
My omega was a vision in the moonlight. Her naked thighs practically glowed in the moonlight, her blonde hair fanned around her, and those pouty lips barely parted.
Her scent was even more immaculate in here. The tart and sweet mixture of champagne, grapefruit, and vanilla was embedded in every surface, but I could scent hints of my own sandalwood, cotton blossom, and orange zest. We were good together.
I slid into bed next to her. As much as I wanted to claim her, I didn't know all the details of her past and the last thing I’d ever do was trigger her. That wasn’t the first encounter that alphas dreamed about.
My fingers slowly trailed over her arm, up and down in gentle strokes. Goosebumps erupted on her skin, a smirk tipping my lips as I watched her face. Those plump lips parted further, her scent blooming. I couldn’t help but wonder if her dreams turned a bit naughty with how it sweetened beautifully.
She took a deep breath, then she jolted, eyes flying open and arm yanking away.
“Ronan?” she asked, her voice husky with sleep. She squinted through the darkness and I chuckled. She’d found me out so easily.
“Good evening, sleeping beauty,” I crooned. “We saw your note and that’s just not going to work for me.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Too fucking bad, alpha.”
Fire sparked in those blue-gray eyes and my cock was immediately hard for her. Fuck, she was perfect.
“You say that, but your body seems to like me,” I breathed out, shifting closer so our bodies were inches apart. She was already on the edge and couldn’t escape me without getting up now.
“No,” she said. “That’s our scents and biology, but I’m not changing my mind. Fuck off, I need sleep.”
“Hmm, go back to whatever bachelor pad you found us, or stay here with you? Hard pass on leaving,” I said, smirking over at her as my fingers plucked the shirt she wore. Even in the moonlight I could see the blush flushing her face and neck, plunging below the neckline. “You stole my shirt, omega.”
“I did,” she said, the picture of defiance. God she was adorable.
She was shifting closer, as if her body couldn’t stand the space between us. Her eyes dipped down to my lips, trailing down my body before snapping back up to meet my gaze.
My smirk widened.
“Like what you see, omega? Because it’s all yours,” I promised. “I am dying to taste you, to make you scream my name. Just say the word.”
“No,” she protested, trying and failing to look put out by the suggestion. “Leave.”
“Do you really want that?” I murmured, letting my hand move to her thigh, trailing up and down, teasing, but never crossing that line.
“Yes,” she lied, biting down on her plump lip. Her eyes were hooded, her smell growing sweeter by the second.
“Lies,” I breathed out, brushing my lips over her lips before pulling back. As I did, she followed.
Then my fiery omega lunged, kissing me now and pinning me to the bed. Her fingers tore at my shirt, demanding I take it off. My cock was so hard for her already it ached, and right now, with her warm, damp pussy pressed against it, I was in heaven.
“Tell me now if you truly want me to leave,” I teased, though the words were serious.
“Shut up,” she growled, nipping at my collar bone as she pressed her hips against my cock. I groaned, hands securing to her hips as I stared up at the savage beauty above me.
“Do you think you’re in charge here, omega?”
“I am,” she said confidently, her words cutting off in a squeak as I snatched her off of me and turned us over, pinning her to the bed.
“What was that?” I teased, sitting up long enough to peel my shirt off her body. I went to toss it aside but she growled again, a sweet rumbling sound, before tucking it between her pillows.
“Mine.”
“I am yours, omega,” I agreed, shifting down and hooking my fingers in her underwear, peeling them down as I crawled down her body.
My eyes met hers, a single eyebrow raising in question. She parted her thighs, giving me an open invitation.
I dove in, my tongue swiping through her slick before devouring my omega. Her taste was sweet and perfect on my tongue, my cock throbbing as I licked and sucked at her clit before spearing my tongue into her aching pussy. She rode my face as I tasted her, demanding more.
Every time her orgasm started, I’d pull back, earning a sharp tug of my hair or growl.
Fuck, she was too damn cute.
“What the fuck, Ronan?!” she demanded as I edged her for the fourth time. There was no doubt that it was on purpose this time.
“Tell us we can move back in, omega,” I said. “Say yes, then you can come.”
“You’re edging me on purpose? That’s coercion!"
“Nah, it’s just using my skills to win you over,” I said before sucking hard on her clit, making her cry out.
Then I pulled away.
“Ronan,” she cried, grinding her hips against my face, trying to chase the orgasm that I continuously halted. She was leaking slick, so wet that it coated my face and her thighs.
“Say yes, omega. Tell me you want this, that you’ll keep us around,” I said again, voice deeper, demanding, but not a bark.
“No,” she groaned. “You can’t tell me you want this, then leave with no explanation. I deserve communication. I don’t fucking do secrets.”
“Good girl. Tell me what’s wrong so I can fix it,” I praised.
“You left,” she said again, this time the pain in her voice echoing sharply in my chest. There was the core of the problem, the main reason she was so mad she kicked us out.
“We might have to from time to time,” I said, softening the words with my mouth, teasing her right back to the edge before pulling away.
She was practically sobbing now, the emotions and pleasure warring.
“But I promise to tell you why next time if you can handle the truth. It’s not pretty, or legal. ”
“I know who you are,” she bit out. “I’ve got blood on my hands, too, Ronan.”
“Then you have my word. No secrets, Aries,” I vowed. She studied me for a moment, then let her head fall back.
“No secrets.”
“Does that mean you’re going to let us stay?” I didn’t wait for her answer, though I listened. My focus was on her weeping pussy as I pushed two fingers into her core, her body tight around me. She was so worked up that it took seconds for her to ride the edge of that wave again. “Say yes, Aries.”
“Yes,” she relented.
“Good girl,” I praised, curling my fingers and sucking hard. She exploded then, her screams echoing on the walls as her slick gushed over my tongue. I didn’t stop, fucking her with my fingers and teasing her clit as she rode out the intense orgasm, her sobs and moans so fucking good.
“Fuck,” she breathed out as her entire body sagged against the mattress.
“Do you still mean it, omega?” I asked as I crawled up her body, hovering just over her face. I knew she could see her slick coating my skin, smell her own scent lingering there.
“Yes. But don’t break my trust, Ronan. I don’t forgive easily.” I believed her, and I would take that to heart.
But right now, all I wanted was to fill this tight, little pussy with my cum.
“I’m going to fuck you now, Aries. Because you’re mine.”
“Yes,” she repeated, eyes rolling back as I lined myself up and snapped my hips forward, claiming her in one, sure stroke.
There was no sweet or gentle now. I fucked her hard and fast, her bed hitting the wall with each frantic thrust, my knot swelling as I fucked her deep and raw, feeling every inch of her walls clamping around me.
The slick made it easy, our bodies sliding together and scents twining together.
My finger teased over her clit again. This time I didn’t try to stop the orgasm as it hit her, instead I followed her.
The moment her body clamped around mine, walls pulsing as she gave into the bliss, I was done for.
My knot locked into place, my own cum pumping into her like I wanted. A deep, satisfied rumble echoed out of me.
“Mine.”
“Yours,” she breathed out, nails biting into my skin, marking me. I’d rather her teeth, but this would do for now.
