Chapter 25
Creedence
I smiled as he stepped behind me while I was making breakfast and pressed a kiss on the pulse point in my neck. I asked, “Why do you always do that?”
“‘Cause I need to assure myself that your heart is still beating.”
I winked, “Love you.”
He pressed a kiss on my lips, then headed to the coffee table.
I watched as he stared at the bags, then he looked at me and said, “Thank you.”
I chuckled, “You haven’t even opened them yet.”
He winked, “You did this for me. That’s all there is to it.”
While we ate, he opened the bags.
A new pair of motorcycle boots.
New tees.
And then he held the paper in his hand and looked at me, “You serious?”
I smiled, “What do you think?”
He looked at me, then he looked down at the paper, then pulled out his phone, scrolled to a number and pressed call, then he put it on speaker.
“Yo?” I heard a man say.
“Hey, Clutch. Do me a solid?”
“What do you need?” the man asked.
“Come to the club. My woman wants a tattoo.”
I grinned.
And in five hours, I sat there while a man named Clutch, who was a brother from the Dogwood Treasure Chapter of Wrath MC, tattooed Alexander’s name on my left ring finger.
I watched as Alexander smiled, then he tagged my phone, hit some buttons, typed something, and then showed me.
Her soon-to-be hubby was now his contact’s name.
I burst into laughter.
Then I sobered, and shared, “Isn’t official until you ask me.”
He winked.
He fucking winked.
“What?” I asked.
Then we both saw Lena laughing her ass off as she raced through the main room of the clubhouse with a water gun in her hand, and a soaking wet Storm chasing after her with one of his own.
I thanked Clutch, then I raced behind Alexander outside.
I was laughing as Storm chased after Lena.
That was when I saw it.
I saw a black van and a black SUV pull up in front of the clubhouse.
I frowned.
The windows lowered.
The doors opened.
Something black.
***
I knew that sound.
Gunshots.
My eyes scanned for Ripper.
