17. Malice aka Inferno

Chapter Seventeen

MALICE AKA INFERNO

I was in a bad ass mood; I knew what the problem was but refused to see it that way.

There was no way a woman that I was practically forced to marry for my father’s sanity and protection could possibly be on my mind so tough.

I bit my bottom lip thinking about the way Sovereign pussy clenched my dick.

The hesitation and rejection of her kissing me.

It had been two weeks since I laid eyes on her, my men watched her, but she threw them off of her in just one day.

I almost wanted to kill them niggas because they got paid well just to follow a woman and keep tabs on her but failed at doing just that.

Sparing their lives, I ended their jobs and hired new men, then told Big B to find her.

I didn’t know if she was in Cali or in Mexico, her whole demeanor changed after the meeting I had in place for the syndicate.

I sat in the backseat of my business car, ashing my blunt out the window looking at the outside of my mother’s house.

This was my real home, the only woman that truly understood me and wanted nothing but the best for her only son.

I smirked at all the flowers and plants my mom had planted over the years to keep her busy.

She didn’t have to work because I took care of all her needs, but she loved to create projects around the house.

She traveled a lot and explored the world to keep her mind off of me and the things that I was up to.

I didn’t even know if she was home now because I hadn’t called.

There was no indication of her being here, she always parked her car in the garage.

She would probably lose her cool if she had known that I up and got married without informing her.

If she knew it was because of my father, she’d fly back to Mexico and shoot his ass herself.

My mom was a strong beautiful black woman that didn’t take no shit from anyone.

I could understand why my father was so smitten and still in love with her.

For some reason, us men took to women that was hard to obtain and control.

I had to start looking at things that way because before Sovereign I didn’t want a woman to be just mine fully.

Even still with her, I didn’t want to commit or to be expected to carry on in a way as an average man.

I had too much money to be worried about the next person feelings.

I couldn’t deny the feeling of being ghosted from Sovereign; she changed her number like I wouldn’t be able to obtain the new set of digits in seconds.

I just had a lot on my plate and tracking her down and coming after her wasn’t the number one thing on my to do list. It’s why I had Big B to handle that.

“Something tells me, your outside of my house, after acting like you don’t have a mother for two months.” I closed my eyes and inhaled the good kush that filled my lungs and released it. Holding my phone up, I tilted my head to the side smirking.

“What’s up ma?” it felt good just hearing her voice. I missed my mom so much that sitting in front of her house made me feel close enough to her.

“Malice Ashonti Ruiz! I wish I was home so that I could slap the fire from you.” I chuckled lowly and remained quiet.

I let the breeze hit my face as my head rest on the seat, the smell of my mother’s freshly mowed grass hit my nostrils with a small scent of flowers.

I missed being here the most. It was peaceful and quiet in San Clemente, a good distance from Los Angeles.

“What’s on your mind son?” I could already hear the worry in her voice.

“A lot, Ma, always a lot. It’s a new girl in my life as well, that’s complicated.

I will have to explain that to you in person.

Where are you?” I quickly changed the subject before she could even start her motherly interrogation.

I could have easily called the security that I kept attached to her and find her location, but I didn’t invade in her privacy like that.

“Thailand, with a friend.” I raised my eyebrow at that, I hope this friend wasn’t someone that I would later have to burn to the ground. I tapped the petition letting my driver know to drive off to my next location.

“What friend? Have I met this friend?”

“No and you don’t have to. I don’t need you scaring him, he is really nice Malice and I like him.” I shook my head at that.

“Ma, if he is scared of me, then he’s not man enough at all.

How do you expect this man to protect you?

I will have to look into him, send me his full name.

” I wanted my mother to comply but also knew that she wouldn’t which was fine with me.

I had already fished for my business phone and started texting her security detail, getting all the information that she wouldn’t give.

If I didn’t kill the nigga first, then my dad would whenever he found out that my mother was dating. My dad just couldn’t let my mom go.

He’d let her have fun but soon as he was informed that she had become too familiar with a guy.

A freak accident would happen, and the guy would disappear.

My mother never had proof and I thought it was absurd at first, that my father had men watching her all the way from Mexico.

After time passed, I realized that it was my father.

He watched my mom very close, almost better than I did.

He still had that hope that before he died, they would somehow get back together.

“Did you hear me Malice?” I didn’t hear a word that she said because I was busy typing away on my business phone.

“My apologies Ma, had to respond to a message.” I halfway lied.

“I said Alexander is a good man, he has his own money. He’s a big-time lawyer with no kids, so if we were to get married you wouldn’t have to deal with step-siblings.” She giggled and I stared at the phone blankly.

“There will be no marriage.” I didn’t know what my mom was thinking.

I couldn’t see her marrying just a regular ass nigga.

Something wasn’t right with this nigga already, I already gathered that he was lying and hiding something.

I texted my security asking for a picture of this new guy.

What older nigga that was supposed to be some lawyer making good money didn’t have a family somewhere tucked.

“Don’t start that stuff your daddy do.” My mom scoffed into the phone, I could imagine her lips curled and tight like she would do when I was kid before she smacked me in the back of my head.

“Okay Ms. Stella got her groove back, have your fun for now. I’ll be in touch later. I was popping up on you since I miss you. I’ll be back by your house in two weeks, I expect my favorite meal awaiting me.” I smirked, already prepared to take her brutal tongue lashing.

“Nigga please! Don’t go running off demands like you do those people in your organization better yet your whores Ashonti. I’ll see you soon and don’t get all in my business, let me live my life. I did my part by raising you now its time to live for me.”

“Oh yea?” I reasoned.

“Bye son.” She hung up just as my driver merged onto the freeway.

We were immediately greeted with heavy ass traffic.

I saw that my security wasted no time sending me a picture of the gentlemen that my mom was out with having the time of her life.

Soon as I zoomed in on the picture my stomach summersaulted.

He looked like he came straight from Mexico, what type of games was my momma playing?

This nigga resembled my dad and if I wasn’t tripping tripping, he looked like the same nigga that the cartel was having problems with.

I forwarded the picture to my dad and counted down to sixty. When I got to forty, my burner phone sounded off.

“Who is he?” Was all I wanted to know.

“Nueva is a dangerous man son.” I could hear the warning behind my father’s thick accent, but it pissed me off more. We still didn’t know if Nueva was the one that put the hit out on my dad since the Ruiz cartel lost his alliance.

“You say that, like you don’t know who your son is. I think you also forget who was in that picture big cheesing, we know the great lengths that I will go for the woman who birthed me.” I calmly stated trying to keep my respect intact for my father.

“He’s sending out a message since we took over the docks.

You know how big the docks are hermano. We have a meeting with Nueva in five days, I expect you and your wife back in Mexico in three days.

” I didn’t even want to fuck with Sovereign right now, I didn’t like the feeling she gave me at all.

The magic she worked on my dick and the feel of her was dangerous and could weaken a powerful man like me.

“I don’t need her with me for that.” I spat, ready to hang up now.

“Ju forget son. She is a Martinez turned into a Ruiz. However, the Martinez cartel still stands as long as her Abuela breathes. She is your wife and her not showing by your side is a bad look to the other cartel heads.” He hung up and this time, I tossed the phone and told my driver to make a detour.

I was done handling business for the day.

I needed to relax my mind and then locate my wife to get her stubborn ass on board for this important meeting.

If Nueva wanted to send a message, then I would too, starting with his hidden family.

I strategized the whole way over to Kenya’s house. Right now, I wanted a home-cooked meal and my shoulder blades massaged by her delicate hands. I had a feeling that some shit was about to spark and I was well ready for that and whatever else it brought on.
