23. Queen
Chapter Twenty-Three
QUEEN
I was a very self-assured person, nothing at this stage of my life could take a jab at my self-esteem.
I went through a very low stage in my life, when I felt low, ugly, and unworthy.
After sleeping with more men than I could count unwillingly before I even hit my twenties.
I became a strong young girl with a vision to make it out of just feeling low and struggling.
I remember chanting to myself while looking in the mirror at the age of sixteen.
Telling myself that I was beautiful, and I would one day have the world eating out the palm of my hands.
By the time I was eighteen, I became fully self-assured, I didn’t need a man telling me how beautiful I was just to get between my smooth thick thighs.
After sacrificing my body so much throughout my teens.
I made sure when I no longer had to revert back to having sex for money that it was for my pleasure.
Before I knew it, experiencing climaxes was like therapy. It momentarily took me to another dimension and eased my rattled nerves.
I wasn’t the best at everything I did, but I tried to be. In my eyes, even the strongest powerful man had a weak point, in most men that weak point was pussy.
With Inferno, I couldn’t quite figure that weak point out.
I know I vowed to never get caught so caught up into a man to the point that I feel hooked and trapped.
Yet here I sat in the dark, inhaling the woodsy burnt smell that permeated the space in his room.
Hades, is what he loved to call this wing of his home.
Right now, I was so sure of myself. Yet so conflicted about being here asking for something that would relieve my problems momentarily.
With a heavy heart and feeling vulnerable, I knew that only Malice could take care of that so I could think clearly, even if it was for just an hour.
I tried calling the twins before I even thought about coming here.
The twin’s number was disconnected which had me pissed off.
Malice scared them shitless and that lowkey pissed me off because Aiden and Caiden were actually my friends and I enjoyed spending time with them to get my mind off of my actual reality.
With the twins, I didn’t have to act hardcore.
I could just chill and vibe, they made me laugh and feel good beyond the sex.
I couldn’t get Empress or my father off my mind for the life of me. I had business to tend to and I was starting to feel like that unsure weak young, minded girl from the past. I needed to reboot and get my shit together. Sex, good sex is what I needed.
For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been chanting and trying to force the two people that I truly loved to the back of my mental. I still had to put up a facade when it came to my Abuela. That was going to be a hard task.
There was one thing I didn’t do, and that was lie and a fraud.
With my Abuela, I still had to go about things as if I wasn’t on to her until the timing was right.
I wanted to put Melvin in the dirt and really take over her cartel as well as putting my gang on.
Now that I knew what role she played, me wanting the cartel was a far away thought.
I no longer wanted parts in anything this bitch created.
I wanted blood, her blood since she had my mother killed.
My heart rate increased, and excitement flowed throughout my entire being when the door to Malice room door opened.
Hearing him clap his hands for the lights to come on had me anxious to see his shocked expression when he realized I intruded into his personal space.
Disappointment became evident on my face as I watched his housemaid look at me with wide eyes as she watched me sit at the edge of his bed in the dark with a lit blunt.
“I’m so sorry, Malice is on the south wing and wanted me to have his things ready for when he returned to Hades.
” I nodded my head and offered her a small smile.
She was a beautiful older Hispanic lady; her hair was neatly pulled back into a perfect tight bun.
She wore red scrubs; in her hand she held a salad along with a glass of Cognac.
What an odd mix. She sat the salad and drink down and walked up to his dresser, pulling out a pair of silk pajamas.
“What’s your name?” She looked up at me and smiled. Her smile was a genuine smile like she loved what she did for work. That was a little surprising, I imagined Malice being an asshole to the people that worked for him. With her that didn’t seem to be the case.
“My name is Julia. I am the head-house maid. If you ever have any problems with my staff, please let me know.” She bowed a little and smiled at me. Her smile was contagious, so I offered her one back.
“Sure thing, nice to meet you, Julia. I’m Sovereign, if you mind me asking when will Malice retreat back to Hades?
” I was probably reaching at this point; I hope my desperation to get fucked wasn’t too obvious.
I didn’t give a damn though, Malice had to be good for something.
If making me cum until my stomach cramped up was one of them then so be it.
“He usually works late at this hour. Kenya Monroe is very thorough at what she does at the end of each month.” She clamped her lips tight like she said too much the fear was evident on her facial expression.
I gave her a reassuring smile and winked at her.
It was a silent form of me communicating to her that I wouldn’t tell her boss on her.
“Would you like me to get you some of my special herbal tea?” She quickly changed the subject. I watched her grab onto her pants and then release it. She definitely was now nervous.
“No, Julia. The last time I drank your tea… I woke up in Mexico on a private jet. I might get some later, sleep has been hard to come by lately.” I surprised myself at exposing that. I hadn’t had a full night sleep since everything went down with my Papa.
“I want you to lead the way to my husband, and Ms. Kenya Monroe.” I stood up from the bed and walked to Malice side.
Picking up his glass of Cognac, I took it back with a couple of gulps then cracked my neck side to side.
I needed a good ass body massage and some good ass weed to release all this tension I had bottled in.
“Do you have some more of this? This is the smoothest cognac that I have ever tasted. What brand?” I was intrigued by how smooth it went down my throat.
“That is my Excellency’s favorite.” She smiled proudly; I rolled my eyes at what she referred to him as.
“Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac, Grande Champagne. Very dangerous drink. It’s known as the DNA of Cognac.
” She talked highly of the drink that danced around on my taste buds.
I suddenly wanted more as I could feel the small effects of it.
“How much does it go for?” I tilted the glass to see if it was at least a drop left.
“Two million dollars.” I shook my head at the ridiculous price but kept the glass in my hand.
“Take me to him, I want another full cup.” I added, walking past her to the door.
“You sure? One glass does the trick.” She looked at me with worry.
“A person like me might need the entire bottle.” I opened the room door and was met by an expensive mini-Golf cart.
I giggled a little feeling the effects of just that one cup of cognac.
This man had his staff riding around in his mansion on golf carts.
I never saw such a thing. She came out the door behind me and went to the back of the golf cart, lifting the trunk up.
Pulling out a chilled expensive crystal bottle that looked like it was covered with expensive gold, the top looked like it had real diamonds scattered all over it.
For two million dollars the gold and the diamonds had to be real.
I wondered how long this niggas money was to have this drink for his nightcap.
She walked cautiously with the bottle and carefully removed the top.
Julia handled the glass bottle like her life was on the line as she poured me a full glass.
I took slow sips as I eased into the seat and waited for her to put the bottle back into the trunk of the golf cart.
I thanked Julia once she got situated behind the wheel and took in Malice’s mansion.
I never took this place in, since the first time I was here, I was brought against my will. The second time, I broke in through the back. Now that I was looking, this place had to of cost him a fortune.
Malice’s mansion exuded every essence of luxury, elegance, and comfort.
It sat on a small acreage with a relaxing view of the city.
As we rode through the huge house, I couldn’t deny that it was impeccable.
This place was made of concrete and tall glass windows.
We passed the front of the mansion, and I became lost in the beauty of it.
This shit was past fancy as hell. Gold fixtures and statues decorated the huge space, making it stand out and capture your attention.
The white couches were tufted with gold and beige pillows sitting up perfectly on each end.
I fell in love with the big glass chandeliers that sat right in front of the arched glass window.
I imagined how beautiful the chandeliers crystals looked when the sun shined in the front of the house.
We went down a long and wide hallway that had a floating chandelier and recessed lighting that looked magical as hell.
We had been riding in this golf cart for about three minutes, until she finally came to a stop in front of two big double doors.
Each side of the double door had fire flames engraved.
