Maximo’s POV
Maximo’s POV
I needed someone to infiltrate to get closer to the Black Widow, but I would need a woman for that.
I didn’t know of anyone who I could trust enough, but was also strong and lethal enough to get the job done.
I would sacrifice my people if I knew the outcome would be worth it, but this time, the outcome wouldn’t be worth it.
And that’s when the thought came to me. My wife.
Aria. She was deadly, but to some degree expendable.
I wondered if I could persuade her into taking on the job, but make it sound like I believed in her to accomplish the task.
My office door slammed open and Aria came charging in, looking beyond pissed. A new look for sure.
“You better tell your little fucking friend to get off his ass and get Sophie, or I’m going to rip off his fucking balls.”
I had never seen my wife this unhinged before, a complete detour from her usual overly sweetness, making me go hard as a rock. I could never predict this woman, and it left me both nervous and turned on. I didn’t know what to make of it.
I tried to keep my tone neutral. “What is going on Aria? What happened to Sophie?”
I had been informed by some of my men that Sophie was coming to the mansion during times that Lorenzo was here visiting. Apparently, my little wife had taken Sophie under her wing.
“That stronzetto let Sophie get kidnapped by men from the Fire Dragons MC. He let them! I’m going to fucking kill him if they hurt her in any way!” Aria’s eyes are narrowed and dark. Definitely a new side to my little bride.
But seriously, what the fuck was Dom thinking?
I pulled out my phone, keeping my expression neutral.
Me: You better get Sophie or Aria’s going to rip off your fucking balls. Her words exactly.
I sent it immediately, then looked up at her.
“How did you even find out about this?”
Her eyes were blazing. “I fucking know people too.”
I looked at her curiously. “You mean Lorenzo.” I narrowed my eyes at her.
She glared at me. “Lorenzo knows Geronimo and he has been very helpful to us.”
Us. Hmmmm. Interesting. How the fuck do they Geronimo though? I thought Lorenzo was only a peon in the hacking world.
My phone pinged.
Dom: I’m here now. Will talk later.
Damn right he would. Why the fuck would he ‘let’ an enemy touch his wife, arranged be damned?
I turned my phone around and showed her.
She glared at me again, then spun around walking out.
I kept watching her, since she left the door wide open, watching her ass move in her black slacks.
She really did have a gorgeous ass. She was always dressed well, not million dollar well, but a business casual look.
She wore dresses only out at events, but mostly wore slacks with dress shirts.
Usually silky ones, which made me want to rub up all over her.
But she was still keeping me at a distance.
After she was out of sight, I picked my phone back up. The first one to Dom.
Me: You will be explaining that shit to me later.
I wasn’t expecting a response. I texted the next number.
Me: Be ready for me in an hour.
Sharice: I will be, hon. ??
I was starting to hate how these women acted.
They tried to be sexy and hot, but ever since my wife came into the picture, these women not only irritated me, but they barely could get me off.
It’s like that woman broke me. And I hadn’t even fucked her yet.
From the time from our wedding night to the gala, I got one blowjob.
One fucking blowjob! After the gala, and after she pretty much told me to go celibate and get an STD test to fuck her, I was fucking livid.
So I went out that night and fucked me a woman.
And it barely did shit for me. Fuck! This damned woman had me in a fucking vice!
Could I go celibate for that long? Just to have a try at her? Fuck!
I finished some more work before heading out. I needed a release.
??????????????????
That was the worst fucking sex I’ve had in a long time. Fuck! I was walking into my mansion, after fucking Sharice, and it had left me less than satisfied. I had cummed because I had been so pent up, but it felt…….boring.
I heard laughter in the back side of the house, so I approached cautiously.
I usually wasn’t home at this time of the day.
It was around 2 pm, and I usually didn’t get home until 5 pm or 6 pm.
I noticed none of my men were over here either which was odd.
I made sure to approach quietly because I didn’t know what I was walking into.
I glanced around the wall. This area was usually only used when we had a party or event going on.
I didn’t realize until now that Aria used it for herself.
There was a high back couch in the middle of the room, light gray with plush backing.
The back was so high, I could barely see Aria’s head sticking out just slightly above it.
To the left, and his side to me, stood Lorenzo.
He made some comment that I didn’t quite make out and Aria laughed like I had never heard before.
Then she said, in a calm, gentle voice I had never heard before, “I will have Sophie over in a couple of days and we can do a lunch together. Then we will plan if we need to break Dom’s balls or not.”
Lorenzo laughed. This was also a side of him I had never seen before. He turned slightly, smiling widely, until his eyes landed on me, then his smile dropped immediately. His whole posture changed, still and alert.
“Maximo.” He nodded ever so slightly to me.
Dammit! I wanted to see more of this. From both of them. These were the real versions of them. They only appeared to share it with each other. Did Sophie get to see this side of them too? I bet she did. Lorenzo had been protective of her since the gala, but even Aria had become protective of her.
From where I stood, I could see Aria didn’t shift.
“Aria, when you have some time, I would like to discuss a matter with you.”
That sugary sweet tone returned. “Of course. Just give me a moment to send Lorenzo off.”
I stepped into the room more, watching as Lorenzo observed me coolly. “That’s not necessary. Lorenzo can stay as long as you would like for him to.” My way of extending an olive branch the best I could.
I think I heard her snort. “No worries. He has places to be, I’m sure. Right Lorenzo?” It was weird hearing her speak to him so formally, when just moments ago they were laughing and sharing gentleness with each other. I really did not know my wife.
I sighed, frustrated. “Whatever you think is best.” I turned to Lorenzo. “You are welcome here anytime, Lorenzo.”
Lorenzo’s eyebrow twitched for a second, but he simply nodded at me.
I nodded back ever so slightly, then turned and returned to my office. I left the door open, so when Aria was ready, she could come in at any time. Usually she did not come into my office. Her barging in earlier was highly unlike her.
I used the time while I waited to call Dom and find out what the fuck was going on with the Fire Dragons MC.
He admitted he had allowed it to happen so he could test Sophie and her allegiance.
He admitted afterwards he had fucked up.
He planned to apologize to Sophie. I told him he better be careful with her moving forward or Aria would come after him, and I likely wouldn’t be able to interfere. He took the threat seriously.
At some point and time, Aria finally approached my office.
I watched as she walked confidently towards me as my desk faced towards the door entrance.
But there was also a softness to her. Aria was 23 years old to my 26 years.
She was young still, but even I could tell, this woman was not innocent.
She walked in, keeping eye contact, which was different.
Ever since she barged into my office earlier today, something in her changed.
I, for the first time, hesitated. Taking on the Black Widow was a big risk. Something could go wrong.
I brushed it off, thinking I would have our men on standby.
“I think I may need your help.”
She raised an eyebrow at me. “Excuse me?”
Okay, so she didn’t expect that.
I looked away from her for a moment to regain my train of thoughts, then returned my eyes to her.
Looking at this woman now, she looked hard, observant, measured.
After what happened on our wedding day, there had been the assumption that Aria was just simply crazy.
Looking at her now? She looked anything but crazy. She was composed, curious, waiting.
“I need a woman to breach a woman known as the Black Widow.” Before I could continue, I saw a flicker cross her features.
She nodded. “I’ve heard that name. Something about a woman killing off some of the men in the clans.”
I watched her curiously. “How much do you know about her?”
She shrugged and said, “Lorenzo was told by Geronimo to be wary of the bitch.” Her eyes shuttered for a minute and I smiled at her slip. “Wary of the woman.”
My smile widened without realizing it. “Call her what she is, Aria. She is a bitch. And word is she is targeting our clan and Dom’s.” I paused, suddenly realizing I just referred to my clan as ours. Interesting. She didn’t respond like she noticed.
“Do we know who specifically, or are we just assuming the clan in general?”
I grunted. “I don’t have a target identified, but I don’t want to wait around for one. All I want is for you to get close enough to her, get her guard down, then we can have a sniper take her out.”
Her demeanor changed. She was back to looking sugary sweet again. “Of course Maximo. Whatever you need.”
I didn’t like that response, but I really didn’t have much room to take it back now. I was second guessing my decision to have Aria anywhere near that crazy bitch. But now that the plan was out there, I couldn’t take it back. I doubted she would understand. Hell, I didn’t even fucking understand.
Suddenly, I was protective of my wife, and I didn’t know what to do with that.
