Chapter Twenty-Nine

Ash

The place was absolutely like a fortress, as Ethan said, but it wasn’t all that secure. We made our way through the chain link fence in mere minutes, because people like my brother, and his new sidekick, tend to carry all kinds of messed up shit in their cars.

“Head to the main building, up ahead, but we’ll go around the back and get in that way,” Cal hissed at us, already making his way along that path, so we followed him.

I was worried about him, and about whether he could follow through with this murder plot, because on the journey he’d retreated further into his head every fucking minute, and he was practically monosyllabic by the time we arrived.

If I had to fuck him hard to break him out of his head, I would.

I wasn’t sure Blaze or Ethan were really up for watching that happen, but nothing was off the table, if Cal needed it.

“Hold up.” Cal motioned us into the shadows around the side of the building, and pointed up to a camera above the alcove we’d hidden in. “Have to wait for it to rotate toward the front, then we can leg it around the side.”

Whoa, the place had a little security then, but it wouldn’t stop us.

They’d learn that nothing stopped the Cross family when we wanted something, and what we wanted was everyone in this place fucking dead.

When it became clear that this wouldn’t be just one murder, but a fucking massacre, my dads really wanted in, but mum kicked off, refusing to be left behind with the twins, like she couldn’t help as well.

See how great my parents were? Instead, they were on standby, ready to head here if we needed help.

They’d shacked up at a hotel in the small village not far from here, planning to leave the twins behind in the room if we needed help.

I tell ya, families who kill together, fucking thrive together.

“Okay, go go go!” That was Ethan, who’d taken the lead because the crazy fucker was itching to get his kill on already.

Blaze snorted, running after him, and I grabbed Cal’s hand, because suddenly he was frozen to the spot, and breathing fast, like some kind of panic had gripped him.

I cupped his cheek, turning him to look at me, and his eyes were wide and blinking fast, like he was trapped in some kind of terror.

God only knew what they’d done to him here, in the name of fucking religion.

“Baby, breathe, come on, just one deep breath and you’ll feel better.”

It wasn’t working, and a quick glance up to the camera told me that we’d missed the window for moving anyway.

Thinking fast, I shoved Cal against the wall, and slid my hand down the front of his jeans, grasping his cock and tightening my grip around the flaccid length.

A shudder shot through him, as his breath caught in his throat and his gaze sharpened on mine.

He spun us fast, slamming me against the wall instead, and devouring my mouth as I stroked his rapidly hardening cock.

Holy fuck, it was hot as hell being under his control.

Who knew he had this side in him, right?

“You’ll pay for that later, Ash. I’m done being anyone’s fucking pussy, you included.” He bit down on my bottom lip, sending a ripple of delicious pain right to my fucking cock as he drew blood. He reached up and dragged his thumb over my throbbing lip and smirked at me.

“Much better. My bloodthirsty little whore needs to look the part.”

He glanced up and then dragged my hand out of his pants, encouraging us both to run while we could, before the camera aimed back towards the path again.

We reached Ethan and Blaze, who were waiting impatiently by the door, arguing over who’d get to kick it in, and they both rolled their eyes as we joined them.

“No prizes for guessing what those two were doing. Can you wait until we’re all covered in blood before you get it on? Then I’ll be done and can leave,” Ethan said, backing up to kick the door in.

“Whoa! Ethan, just a minute.” Cal tried the handle and it opened, while we all stared in shock, because why the fuck did this place pretend to be secure, when it really wasn’t. A high fence, and one camera were not fortress standard.

“Seriously? This fucker’s just asking to be robbed or something.”

Cal shrugged as he stepped into the dark kitchen. “He believes that God will protect his children, hence the poor security. The camera was my idea back when I lived here. I suggested putting them all the way around, but who listens to a sad little gay boy, right?”

I growled and shoved ahead of him, on my last fucking nerve with this asshole and his bigotry. What chance had Cal even had, when he was faced with this shit?

“Gonna show him what a fucking gay boy looks like.”

Cal

When we came face to face with my uncle, it didn’t go the way we’d planned or expected.

He was sitting in the large communal space, with two others, and they were not having a meeting or even a basic human conversation.

No. A makeshift bed was set up in the room, as there had been for me, and a barely coherent kid lay on it, blinking woozily at the woman stripping off beside him.

Jesus fuck, they were doing that shit right now.

“You sick cunt,” Ash cursed out, rushing across the room to shove the woman away from the boy, as Ethan and Blaze headed for my uncle.

They grabbed him as he lurched up from his throne of depravity, and each took a turn to punch him in the face before they knocked him to the floor, and Blaze produced a knife, which he held at his throat.

I approached the drugged kid, and crouched beside the bed, watching as he looked around him in a daze.

Poor thing had no idea what was going on, and disturbingly, he looked even younger than I’d been.

I stood up, pulling the covers up, and tucking them around him, as I turned to glare at the two rapists in the room.

“What the fuck is wrong with you people?” My uncle’s head lifted at the sound of my voice and he smiled, he actually smiled like he thought my presence was a good thing. Like it’d save his worthless fucking life.

“Ah my boy, we’ve missed you here.”

Ash finished using the bitch’s clothes to tie her up, and shoved her on her side, before he stormed across the room and kicked Uncle Gordon right in the face.

“Don’t you fucking talk to him like he’s yours, you pathetic twisted asshole!

He’s mine!” Yeah, because that’s the important part right now.

I rolled my eyes, turning to the kid again.

He looked like a young version of me. His hair a soft red, and cut military short, as Gordon’s people liked to do to poor wayward kids.

“Hey, my name’s Cal. We’re gonna get you out of here. Bet your mum and dad miss you.”

A tear rolled down the boy’s cheek, and he shook his head, making it loll a little on his shoulders.

“Don’t… want me… alone…” Another tear followed the first, and I turned to look at Ash, horror filling me at this poor broken soul we’d maybe not rescued in the nick of time after all. He turned and kicked my uncle in the stomach this time.

“How. Old. Is. The. Fucking. Kid?”

The woman started to sob, but none of us paid attention to her.

“How OLD?!” Blaze roared, dragging the blade down uncle’s cheek, leaving a jagged cut that immediately began to drip with blood.

“Oh cool, can I do the other side?” Ethan reached for the knife, and Blaze glared at him.

“You didn’t bring your own fucking knife, Ethan? Did you listen to nothing I said? This one’s mine.”

They were all freaks, but I was starting to realise that everyone was a freak one way or another, and at least these two weren’t trying to rape a fucking kid.

I turned back to the boy. “How old are you, mate?”

He slumped on the bed, as the drugs seemed to kick in more intensely, and his eyes rolled back in his head. Fuck. He was out cold. I reached down to check his pulse, and breathing, and he seemed okay for the moment.

I stormed over to where they had my uncle cowering on his fucking fancy carpet that he told us God wanted him to have, because he was one of his precious chosen ministers.

“How old is he? Jesus fuck, uncle!”

“Blasphemy! What did I tell you about cursing and disrespecting your faith!?”

Ash kicked my uncle’s legs apart, and stepped up close to his junk, giving it a little tap with his boot.

“Answer the fucking question, or I’m gonna grind your pathetic junk into the shitty carpet.”

“Make him scream high enough to shatter the windows, man.”

Ash glared at Ethan. “Can you just try to be normal for five fucking seconds?”

“Ugh… be a normie again? Fuck that. Seriously, Blaze, just gimme the knife for a minute.”

Blaze groaned and shook his head, but then he opened his hand, and left the knife resting on his palm.

“You break it, you buy it.”

“Gonna break him, not your knife.”

Ash shot an arm forward to catch Ethan’s wrist before he could lower the knife to my uncle.

“It’s not your kill, remember? This is for Cal. He needs retribution from this cunt, because he caused all of this.”

“Retribution will come for all of you! I am one of God’s holy children, and I do His work to rid the world of sinners!”

Ash nudged his foot forward, and my uncle yelped with pain.

It helped, to see him afraid, and cowering like this, even though he kept trying to front, by spouting his usual hateful bullshit.

As I kid I’d been far too afraid to challenge his words, and declarations, because I was being held here at his whim.

“You let her rape me,” I hissed, checking on the kid again before I approached them, “you were a monster back then and I think you’re even worse now!”

“Can I kill her, if I can’t kill this one?”

“Ethan, shut it!”
