Astarion and the Dead God's Blood

Astarion Ancunin was meant to be a magistrate in Baldur's Gate, serving the law rather than the vampire lord Cazador Szarr.

Centuries later he is only a vampire spawn, sent through the night to fetch warm blood and left with nothing finer than rat blood to drink.

He has never let go of the hope that the servitude will end.

Cazador's announcement of a twisted competition for his favor offers a narrow chance: the blood of a dead god lies buried deep beneath the city, and Astarion cannot reach it alone.

He will need Hahn den Suriel, a handsome Aasimar paladin whose golden eyes threaten to catch even a blackened, undead heart.

Trusting fellow spawn, hunting for himself, and bargaining with that stranger are all forbidden, but refusing them means the nightmare continues.
