Epilogue
Logan
“Babe, they’re here!” Chase shouts excitedly from the living room of our new three-bedroom brownstone. Apparently, there are certain loans that physicians qualify for where they give you a shitload of money because they know you’ll eventually be able to pay it back.
Our place is gorgeous, and Chase really has a knack for decorating.
He’s made this space an actual home. It has a vibe and an ambiance and everything. I was totally hands off, and it was the best decision I ever made.
Well, second best.
I make my way to the foyer to greet Stone and Hanlon.
As soon as the door opens, Chase engulfs Hanlon in a hug while Stone and I clasp hands in a much less exuberant hello.
“Come on in, guys. I’m sure you’ve had a long day,” I tell them, reaching to take one of the bags from Stone.
I set them next to the couch, assuming they’d like a drink or a snack, or the bathroom, before getting settled.
Stone looks around the condo and whistles.
“Nice place,” he says, following me into the kitchen while Hanlon and Chase fall onto the couch in the living room, heads bent low together, talking in hushed voices like they’re second-grade girls talking about the boys they have crushes on.
“Thanks. We like it. Drink?”
“God, yes,” Stone says.
“Hanlon still a nervous flyer then?” I laugh.
“It will never be his thing,” Stone says.
I give Stone the tour, knowing the other two will join us when they’re ready. When we get to the top of the stairs, Stone stops, making me look over my shoulder.
He’s staring past me to the painting at the end of the hallway.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” I ask.
Stone nods.
“It was the first gift Chase ever gave me. He said it reminded him of the night we met.”
“Funny. I thought the same thing,” Stone says.
We stare in awe at the painting for another couple of seconds before I lead him to the guest room Chase and I prepared for him and Hanlon.
“This is you.”
A moment later, Chase and Hanlon join us. Chase wastes no time engulfing me in his arms.
“Oh man, you guys have got to come to this pub we love. Are you hungry?”
“Give me like twenty-five minutes, and we will be,” Hanlon replies. “My stomach’s still settling from the flight.”
Nodding, Chase replies, “Take your time.” Then he gets that grin that I know so well, and drags me from the room by the hand. “I’ll just treat myself to an appetizer while we wait.”
Stone groans.
“Jesus Christ, Matthews.”
Chase cackles happily as he leads me down the stairs.
I had thought he was just fucking around to get a rise out of Stone—check—until he pulls me into our room and kicks the door shut before pressing me against it.
“Chase, they’re right upstairs,” I say, reminding him that the guest room is directly over our bedroom.
“What’s your point?” he asks, hungrily clawing at my shorts.
“Uh, that they’ll hear us?”
“So? Let them. I want them to hear you scream my name.”
No matter how much time passes, I can understand that it may always be a little weird for Chase to be around Stone. Considering Chase’s possessive side really turns me on, I don’t try to talk him out of his need to claim me.
Chase tears at my clothes frantically.
“Get them off,” he whines.
Unbuttoning my shorts, I push them and my boxers down my legs, kicking them off while Chase does the same before the brute lifts me off the ground and throws me on the bed.
“You’re gonna break it one day. You know that, right?” I ask through my laughter.
“Worth it,” he says, climbing on after me.
Chase wastes no time pushing my knees to my chest, dropping his mouth to my hole, and eating my ass as though it were his last meal.
Stroking my shaft, I watch in awe as his face disappears, leaving only his deep red hair in my line of sight.
He eats me until I’m a writhing mess, a puddle of precum collecting on my tip.
Reaching for the lube we know to keep close at hand at all times, he pops the cap and stretches me open, quickly fucking me with one finger, then two before sliding the head of his cock over my hole.
“Dammit, Chase. Just fuck me already,” I beg.
“Gladly,” he says with a grin as he begins pushing his way inside my body. We’ve discovered that my favorite angle is hit when my left leg is flat and my right leg is hooked around his waist, so that’s the position he puts me in now.
Thrusting hard and deep, over and over until I’m moaning, my hands roaming across his flesh, trying to touch any and all parts of him I can reach.
“That’s it, Buttercup,” he says, watching me come undone. “Strangle my fucking cock with this ass. Want to fuck you so deep.”
“Shit, I’m close.”
“Make them hear you, Logan,” he growls. “Tell them who fucks you so good.”
Using his right hand to jerk me off while he pounds my ass, filling me with his cock and his filthy fucking words, I come with a shout.
“Chase! I’m com…ah…ah… Fuuuuck!”
Chase erupts when I do, thrusting faster before starting to slow. Once his last pulse of cum is buried deep in my ass, he pulls out and stands back to watch his release slowly work its way out of me.
Using two fingers, he pushes it back in, just to watch it drip out again.
Suddenly, there’s a knock on our door.
“If you two are done ransacking each other, we’d love to actually see Boston,” Stone says through the door.
Snickering, Chase gets dressed while I clean up.
As it turns out, while I occasionally get in the mood for topping, I actually prefer taking dick to giving it, which works out really well because ever since Chase has gotten settled into his new residency program, he’s been energetic, full of life, and he enjoys the giving more than the taking.
Maybe it’s his way of making up for all the years he had no control, but I’m certainly not complaining.
“Aren’t we cute?” Hanlon asks, grabbing his husband’s hand as he bats his eyelashes at Chase while Chase locks the front door of our brownstone. “Just two tops and their incredibly manly bottoms out for a stroll.”
“Hanny, I love you, but you’re such an idiot,” Chase laughs.
The walk to Derringer’s isn’t far, which is one of the perks of our new place.
We’re seated right away, and I’ve never felt so happy in all my life.
“Hey, isn’t that Declan?” Chase says, tapping me on the thigh while pointing at a man sitting at the bar.
“Yeah, I think it is,” I agree.
“Like, your old boss?” Hanlon asks. As though he can feel eyes on him, Declan turns in our direction, catching us all staring, and Hanlon speaks again. “Oohh, Daddy alert.”
Stone punches him in the shoulder.
“Watch your mouth,” he growls grumpily, making me smile.
“Did you guys know he’s Deacon’s brother?” I ask, giving a small salute of acknowledgment before turning away.
“Like, our Deacon?” Stone asks.
“Yup.”
“Knew he had a brother, two, even. Never heard him mention a name. Doesn’t talk about them much,” Stone says as our beers are placed on the table.
Declan turns back toward the bartender and slides something across the bar to her. She shrugs and gives him a sympathetic look as she pockets whatever it was.
And then he leaves.
That guy is seriously weird.
We pass the rest of the evening with greasy food, too many beers, so much laughter my cheeks hurt, and the kind of night I never knew could exist.
I finally have my happily ever, and it’s not lost on me that instead of stealing it from me, it was Hanlon who helped give it to me.
Raising our fourth, or maybe it’s our fifth round, I hold my glass up in a toast.
“To all the crazy rides life likes to take us on, may the dick we find be the best of them all.”
Stone clinks his glass to mine while Chase playfully slaps me on the thigh, and Hanlon throws his napkin at me, laughing as he says, “And here I thought it was going to be heartfelt.”
“Oh, it was.”
Chase smacks his palm against his forehead. “Okay, I’ve got one.”
We all touch glasses in the middle of the table again.
“To being who you were meant to be and finding the person who gives you the courage to live life on your terms. I’m lucky to be surrounded by three of those people now.
Hanny, you taught me to broaden my horizons and explore relationships outside of society’s boxes…
that true love can look a lot of different ways, including the way a man friend feels about his best friend.
Stone, you showed me what real courage looked like when you chose your stepbrother over everyone else, despite the backlash you knew was coming.
And Logan, you encourage me to be the best version of myself for myself every day.
You’re the most selfless person I’ve ever met, and you fill my heart with so much fucking love and joy that I didn’t realize I was as dead as Erik until you woke me up.
You were my shot of epi when I needed it the most.”
“Cheers,” Hanlon says.
“Cheers,” Stone repeats.
“Cheers, Buttercup,” Chase says as I fight to hold back the tears filling my eyes.
“Right back at you all.”
