24. Lissa
Lissa
Oliver fucks me against the wall for several long, exquisite minutes before he lifts me off the wall and onto the pleasure chaise.
It’s divine, overwhelming, and just what I need after the past few days. I escape into the world he has created, a dark space where no one but him can see or hear me.
I melt into the dimness, feeling only his cock, his care, the safety of his presence as he brings us both to climax with ruthless efficiency.
The feel of his tongue in my mouth is a new and unexpected sensation, making me spiral higher into ecstasy as he matches each thrust of his cock against my tongue.
Once it’s over, he stays pressed against me for longer than normal, his arms not quite around me, but resting on the chaise. I’m breathless and tired but with a restless energy beneath my skin. I don’t feel finished yet, despite the mind-blowing orgasm.
As he pulls away, I have to fight to stop myself from dragging him back against me.
Standing up, Oliver looks down at me with another strange expression I can’t read as I swing my legs over the side and sit up. I quickly get dressed
There’s something burning within me today. A desire for something more that I can’t shake. Glancing at the clock, I realize it’s only been fifteen minutes.
If I’m honest with myself, I’ve been looking forward to this and missing its absence far too much over the past few days.
Ninety percent of my thoughts have been with Henry, with his surgery, his recovery, and everything that comes next.
But in the quiet moments when I was alone, all I could think about was Oliver.
“Is this yours?”
I turn to see Oliver holding out one of the gold hairclips that Bethany lent me. My hair is a mess, and I smile sheepishly at him as I nod.
“Thanks.”
“Use the bathroom, if you need to.”
I walk to the back corner of the room, compress the little panel that opens the door, and step inside. I leave it open as I walk to the mirror, dealing with my hair. It’s a total mess, all sticking up around my head.
I hear a soft huff of laughter from the office as I’m running my fingers through it.
Oliver appears in the doorway, watching me put myself back together. There’s something very domestic about it.
I can’t help imagining a completely unrealistic future, where we’re together in a hotel room as a real couple. He’d help me pick out a dress, tell me I was beautiful, and watch as I pin my hair up, one section at a time.
Oliver retreats, going to lean against his desk. Usually, he would return to work after we’re done, but instead, he’s watching me, and there’s a strange energy between us.
Am I the only one who feels it?
Once I’ve dealt with my appearance, I walk out, expecting him to have moved, but he’s still in the same place, his dark, intense eyes on my face as I close the door.
“Are you…” He pauses, jaw working as he hunches his shoulders. “Are you going back to the hospital?”
“Yes. I’m staying there every night while Henry is recovering.”
“And he’s doing okay?”
“Yes.”
There’s a long pause. Oliver rises from his casual position against the desk and stands at his full height, stepping up to me, too close, and curling a piece of hair behind my ear.
“Do you…”
He trails off, his eyes never leaving my face until suddenly both his hands come up to grip my head. It’s not hard, but firm, as if he doesn’t want to let me go.
I stare up at him, bewildered by what he wants, until he pushes his hips against mine, and I feel how hard he is again already.
“Do you have to leave right now?” he whispers.
He backs me up against the wall again, pressing his dick into me, and I gasp, melting into him. This is what I wanted. I wasn’t done.
“Do you want more?” he asks.
“Yes,” I murmur, and I watch his right hand as he reaches to the shelf to the right of me. He picks up one of the ornaments, thicker and wider than the others we’ve used.
“I’m going to put this inside you until you come,” he says, his voice so low and deep it reverberates down my spine. “I’m going to make you beg for it, and then I’m going to fuck your throat.”
A whimper breaks free as he pushes the toy against my bottom lip.
“How does that sound, Lissa?”
I nod as he pushes the toy into my mouth, my tongue meeting the cold metal as his other hand slides down between my legs.
I groan as he hooks his fingers against me, brushing against my clit as the toy pushes deeper into my mouth. I close my eyes.
“I plan to use the whole hour today,” he breathes. “Every single second.”
When I get to the hospital, it’s almost six-thirty. My body is calm and relaxed after the second round of sex.
The toy had been beyond anything I’d experienced before. Once it was fully inside me, he twisted the end without warning me, and delicious vibrations moved through me until I was writhing beneath him with every pulse.
I came twice more before he would let me leave, and my throat aches pleasantly from the deep blow job.
He fucked me with the toy again right after, seeming almost desperate as he kissed me hard throughout it all. I hadn’t thought I had another orgasm in me, but he proved me wrong.
When I reach the room, Anne is sitting beside Henry’s bed. He’s sleeping, as he was when I left, and my heart clenches at the thought that he must have woken up without me there.
Anne turns from her vigil with a friendly smile and, with difficulty, rises, grabbing her walker as I move forward to help her.
“He’s been such a little trooper,” she says fondly. “The nurses love him. They came in earlier today and gave him some ice chips, which he asked lots of questions about. He gave several to me, too, which helped cool down my tea.”
“Has the doctor been by?”
“She has. She seemed pleased but didn’t talk to me much. I’m not a relative after all, but she said she would call you.”
I nod. “She did. Left me a voicemail. They’re hoping to remove his catheter tomorrow, so I’m going to stay for that. Thank you so much for being with him.”
“You’re welcome. It was lovely to have him for company, and I read him lots of stories. He slept a lot, which the nurses assure me is a very good thing and exactly what he should be doing.”
“Did he eat okay? I know he doesn’t love the food here.”
“He did just fine, dear. The nurse brought him soup and some toast. And they also gave him some strawberry Jell-O, which he loved.”
It’s only then that I glance at the other chair in the room and see the expensive-looking teddy bear and a bunch of balloons.
“Oh yes—those were delivered today,” Anne says, giving me a warm smile.
I walk over, my fingers running along the edge of the little blue card hanging around the bear’s neck. It simply says “to my brave boy.” I know it’s from James, and it’s natural for a father to want to give a gift to his son, but the relaxed feeling in my body evaporates in an instant.
I feel like a terrible mother for resenting my son’s father sending his love, but I can’t help it.
What if James turns up overnight and I’m alone in the room? What if he’s angry about Oliver and decides to teach me a lesson?
I’ve always been afraid of James. I can admit that much to myself, but now I’m scared in a new way. We’re not together anymore. The trust I used to have in him that he wouldn’t hurt me is completely gone. Everything feels far more alarming now, more volatile and unpredictable.
“He’s a beautiful little boy,” Anne says gently, breaking me out of my spiraling thoughts. “So clever and friendly. And so polite to the staff.”
“I can’t thank you enough for being with him. I hope you haven’t been too tired being here all day.”
“Are you kidding? I found a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in his book bag. I had a wonderful time reading it. I’ll finish reading it to him tomorrow.”
I chuckle, smiling at her. “Anne, you’re a life?—"
“Mommy?”
Every muscle in my body stiffens, and I rush to the bed as Henry’s eyes open.
“Hey, baby!” I say, unable to stop the tears springing into my eyes as he reaches for me, and I kiss him on the forehead. “You okay?”
He nods as I slowly lower into the chair Anne had occupied, and she moves her walker to stand beside me, putting a gentle, reassuring hand on my shoulder as I try to hold my emotions in check.
“Miss Anne gave me some of her juice,” he says, his throat hoarse as he licks his dry lips. I pick up the water glass and hold the straw for him as he drinks.
“She told me you’ve been such a good boy today! How are you feeling?”
“My tummy hurts.”
“I know, baby. We’re gonna make sure it gets better, though, alright? And all these tubes should be out by tomorrow.”
Henry sinks back into his pillow, his eyes lowering as if he might go back to sleep, but instead they focus on the balloons, and he gives a little smile of happiness.
“I should be getting back to my room,” Anne says gently. “But I’ll come by tomorrow if you like. Hopefully, they’ll let me out of here soon, but Henry is an excellent companion for an old lady like me.”
“Thank you for the story,” Henry whispers, and I rise with Anne, walking her to the door. As she’s about to leave the room, she turns to me, a sharpness in her gaze that’s new.
“Is his father around?” she asks, and her voice has taken on a new quality, with an edge that wasn’t there before.
“He is. But there are some… restrictions on his visits. He’s not allowed to be here when I am.”
Anne’s eyes darken as she glances back at Henry, then slowly looks across the room to the balloons and stuffed bear. Then, finally, she turns to me with a curt nod.
“You stand your ground, my girl,” she says solemnly, and turns away, heading up the hallway, leaving me with a profound sense that she knows exactly what James is, and understands how much I needed to hear those gentle words of reassurance.
