49. Baby

BABY

This negro cleared the place out just for a do-over. He’s insane!

“Love, you really did this for me?” I looked around the empty place. It wasn’t anyone here but the server who was taking care of us and the bartender who’s wiping glasses. Clearly, for no reason, because ain’t nobody here to use them.

“Yea, I told you I wanted a do-over.” I smiled at him. The bouquet of red roses next to my chair caught my eye.

“These are so pretty.” Reaching out, I touched the stem. “You didn’t have to do any of this. I would’ve been fine with just going to your place.”

“I’m sure you would have, Baby.” We were still holding hands, only letting go for a short while when we started eating. Once both plates were taken, he reached for my hand again across the table.

“The food was good. Did Mr. Raymond cook that?”

“He did.” He rubbed his chin. “He said you must’ve been special for me to go through all this trouble.”

I smiled. Love told me how his godfather cursed him out about not calling once he got out of jail. “I like him. He’s funny as hell.”

He reminded me of the cool uncle at the family reunion, the one everybody wanna be around. Love started playing with each of my fingers, one by one.

“Yeah, he has me rolling all the time,” he admitted, not lifting his head up. What he found about my fingers so interesting?

“Did you talk to Valentine again after the first time he got arrested?” I thought it was time I told him about Valentine and his lawyer friend. I was not tryna keep anything from him.

“Nah, figured they ain’t letting him use the phone.”

Biting my lip in nervousness, I said, “I have to tell you something.”

He finally locked eyes with me, scanning my face. “Talk to me.”

For a second, I lost focus on the task at hand. This man was so damn sexy. I’d been doing good all night, behaving myself. I pulled my hand back from his for the first time, sitting it in my lap.

“Tiffani, the one I was talking about earlier, she’s Valentine’s ex-girlfriend, right?” I asked, ignoring his frown from loss of contact. I didn’t think I could keep it together for much longer.

Clearing his throat, he replied. “Yeah, ain’t seen her in a while though. Didn’t know she moved back.”

I nodded, letting out a breath. “She did, with her husband.”

I took a sip of my wine just to have something to do while he anxiously waited for me to finish.

“Treyvon,” I blurted out.

“Trey, my lawyer?” His voice held a strange tone.

“Yes,” I whispered.

Falling back against his seat, he ran his hand down his face. “The fuck, that shit is wild.” Folding his arms across his chest, his eyes narrowed. “He knows about Valentine?”

“She told him earlier today.” He zoned out in thought.

“Damn, probably why he ain’t answer my phone call.”

Sitting up straighter in my seat, I raised my hand to stop him from making any false accusations. “He said he’ll still help him, though.”

He cocked his head back as if I offended him. “Shit, he better. I pay his ass good money.”

“You don’t feel some type of way?”

“Nah, I ain’t worried about all that.” He dismissed the statement, his eyes gazing at me with longing. “I’m focused on us.”

He rose to his feet, my eyes following his every move. It reminded me of when he did this before, got up from his seat and asked me to —

“Dance with me.” His voice broke through my walk down memory lane, his hand in front of me to grab onto. Clasping my hand in his, I trailed behind him to the dance floor.

‘Perfect’ by Otis Kane blasted through the speakers and it felt like a sense of déjà vu.

“Oh! You meant do-over, do-over,” I joked to cover up how nervous I was.

“Yup! Ain’t right without our song,” he claimed.

My eyebrows knitted together. “Our song, huh? I didn't know we had one of those.”

This was new information for me, and of course, it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t step on his feet by accident.

“Sorry,” I giggled, looking down.

He laughed. “It’s cool, and damn right we do. This it right here.”

“Sorry,” I muttered out, stepping on his shoe again. Shaking his head with a smile, he pulled me in closer, his cologne invading my nose. It was getting hard to breathe in here, the air growing thin around us.

“You wouldn’t be stepping on my feet every three seconds if you let me lead you, Baby.”

“I’m not good with that,” I whispered, my chest rising and falling quickly. He caught the double meaning behind my words.

“I know,” he informed me. “You scared, and you don’t trust anybody. But I need you to trust me.”

My chin quivered, tears welled in the corner of my eyes. Pulling back, he touched my cheek gently.

“Can you do that?” I tried to avert my gaze, but he wouldn’t let me. “Can you trust me?”

I was uncomfortable in my own skin. The intensity of his gaze was too much. It felt like he was looking into my soul, seeing the worst parts of me and putting them back together again.

“Yes.” I nodded, my voice shaky.

His mouth slammed against mine possessively. My arms went around his neck, pulling him in as the kiss grew more passionate and rougher. I couldn’t get enough air in my lungs before he thrust his tongue in my mouth.

“Mmmm,” I moaned, standing on my tippy toes to gain better access.

A glass shattered on the floor, and we both jumped away from each other.

“Fuck,” he muttered, out of breath.

Although they’re both pretending to do other stuff, the server and bartender were still here. Lying my head on his chest, I felt how fast his heart was beating. I wasn’t sure I could make it wherever we were going.

“Come on. I can’t wait no more.” He pulled my hand, leading me back to the table while I pouted the entire time. After making sure everything was off the table, he left a hundred-dollar bill, dragging me towards the door. “Thank y’all for helping tonight,” he yelled.

“Is it far?” I whined, referring to his house.

“Nah, it’ll be quick. I promise.” Opening the car door, he waited until I was in before going around to his side.

Nothing needed to be said while he drove.

Years of pent-up sexual chemistry filled the car.

The A.C was in full blast, but I was still hot and squirming in my seat.

I used to have dreams about this moment with him, and it was finally happening.

Love fumbled with the keys to open his door. After the longest ride in the history of rides, we made it to our destination.

“Love, stop playing. You know how to put it in the hole,” I joked, giggling when I realized that didn't sound right.

“You damn right,” he grinned, turning the knob to let us in. He had just closed the door when I jumped his bones.

“I’m tryna find the light, Baby,” he chuckled, gripping my waist to hold me down. Meanwhile, I was already working on removing this dress.

“We don’t need light, I just need you.” Sucking on his neck, I pulled on the hem of his shirt, struggling to pull it over his head.

Both of us stripped right there in the hallway.

My mouth went dry seeing him in all his glory.

He pushed me up against the door, wrapping his hand around my throat.

I thought he was going to choke me. Instead, he curled it around to the back of my neck, bringing my lips down on his.

He took his time exploring my mouth, swirling his tongue around mine, biting into my bottom lip.

“I gotta taste you, Baby.”

Breathing heavily, I climbed him like a monkey, locking my legs around his waist.

“Take me to your room.” With both of his hands squeezing my butt, he kissed me passionately, walking down the hall.

“Can’t believe...” I swallowed deeply, tryna get air into my lungs. “We’re doing this.”

He threw me on the bed, then kneeled on the side, eye level with my pussy. Busting it wide open for him, I spread my legs as far as they could go and raised my hips towards his mouth. Maintaining eye contact, he plunged his tongue inside me, getting his first taste.

“Fuck, you so sweet,” he groaned, diving back in like a starved man. He ravished me like I was his favorite meal, and pleasure like I’d never felt before shot up my spine.

“Love,” I shouted his name with my eyes closed. My body jolted off the bed when he thrusted his fingers inside me, twisting them at just the right angle to hit my G-spot.

“Cum for me, baby.” His voice was thick with emotion as he sent me to the brink of my orgasm. I opened my eyes, my gaze colliding with his, and seeing the love in his eyes brought me to the brink of tears. “Give it here.”

Using his thumb to play with my clit, he demanded my body to give him what he asked for.

“Fuckkkk!” My legs shook violently, reaching down blindly for his hand. He intertwined our fingers as I came, and the most beautiful sound left his lips. He moaned, licking between my folds to get every drop of me.

I didn’t even give myself time to calm down.

“Put it in, please.” I spread my legs wider in anticipation, tucking on his hand to bring him up. When we were at eye level, he kissed me softly, leaning on one elbow.

Not breaking eye contact with me, he lined himself up with my opening, and slowly pushed his way in.

“Shit, shit, shit,“ he cursed through clenched teeth, burying his head in my neck. His body shook the same way mine was while I tried to get adjusted to his size. Moving his hips in a rotating motion, he pulled out before slamming back in.

“Oh, my God!” I moaned out, both of my hands on his arms. I met him with each stroke, our body’s knowing what to do effortlessly. We moved in sync, desperate for each other. I was so full of him, that I didn’t know where he ended and I began.

“Right there, please don’t stop!” I pleaded, pushing my hips up faster.

“You feel so good, Baby.” He grabbed my leg and pulled it to my chest, his dick pushing deeper in my stomach. My eyes rolled back into my head. I didn’t even feel like I was in my body anymore, his strokes took me to another place, so far from reality I saw stars behind my eyes.

“Fuck me, Love. Please, fuck me,” I cried out, scratching at his back.

He wrapped his hand around my throat and stuck his tongue in my ear, biting down on my earlobe. “I promise I'mma stay in this shit forever.”

I never wanted anything more. His words sent me over the edge. A tingling sensation started up my spine, and then he hit a spot that made me scream.

“I’m gonna cum,” I warned, grabbing his cheek to kiss him sloppily. “I’m gonna cum.”

“Ugh--Me too. Fuckkkk,” he grunted, his tongue wrestling against mine. Groaning out loud, his body started to spasm as he nutted inside me. I was right there with him, biting down hard on his shoulder blade.

I felt like I had run a marathon with the way I was sweating. We finally calmed down, panting hard with our foreheads pressed together. I was completely at a loss for words to describe what that was.

Breathing in and out deeply, he laid his head on my chest.

“That was... I can’t even,” my voice trailed off, and I leaned down to kiss his forehead. “Let’s go again.”

He chuckled, his teeth clamping down on my nipple.

I’mma need about five minutes,” he paused when we heard a phone ring. We both looked around but saw nothing.

“I think we left it out there, Love,” I suspected, and neither of us wanted to get up. Going into the living room with him on my heels, we scanned the floor and found both laying by his pants.

Handing it to him, I massaged his shoulders while he took the call.

“Hello?” he answered. “Huh?”

I couldn’t hear who was on the other side of the phone, but it wasn’t long before he hung up.

“We gotta go, Baby.” He grabbed my hand, leading me back to the room. “Let’s take a shower real quick.”

“What’s wrong?” I asked frantically.

“Valentine coming home.”

Thank you, God!
