Thirty #2
“Princess.” Adam’s voice sends chills down my back. “And her knight.” He sneers at Oliver. We’re still in the back part of the hallway, the noise from the gala distant. I hate being back in this world. It feels haunting.
“Don’t call her that.” Oliver repeats his words from earlier.
“You’re always seeking so much attention, Mia. Bringing your new boyfriend in just to rile everyone up. All of this was meant to be ours. And you’re ruining that.” Adam is definitely drunk now. I don’t see a drink in his hand, but he only gets chatty when he is drinking.
Oliver turns around and raises his eyes at me and I see the familiar itch lighting them up.
He mouths the word please and I can’t think of a single good reason to tell him no right now.
The only person I would be concerned with upsetting is nowhere in sight and the party is far enough away that no one can see anything.
I give him the okay and he grins before turning around and throwing a solid punch straight to Adam’s nose and stepping to the side, avoiding Adam fumbling into him.
Oliver spins and buckles Adam’s knee making him drop to the ground while crying out about how his nose is broken.
Oliver reaches down and lifts Adams head to be in direct eyesight of where I’m standing.
“You’re going to apologize for never appreciating her.
And you’re never going to call her princess again.
As a matter of fact, in the future when you two are in the same room, you are going to walk right back out of that room and stay away from her.
” Adam is still holding his nose when Oliver’s grip tightens harder around his chin.
Adam flinches but finally looks up at me.
“I’m sorry.” He chokes out and Oliver releases him with a push. Adam gets back to his feet and limps down the hallway probably making his way to a bathroom to clean up the blood trickling down his face.
I decide to be impulsive and push Oliver back into the room we just left.
I close and lock the door and lead Oliver to sit on the couch.
I have a lot of thoughts flooding my brain and body at the moment but the one that is screaming the loudest is how much I just want him.
I straddle his hips, pulling my dress up out of the way.
“You can’t kiss me, it’ll ruin my lipstick. Which I know is your favorite thing. But I do have to talk to people before we leave tonight. You also can’t mess up my hair.” I instruct him as his hands already find the bare skin of my thighs and his fingers dig in.
“You want to torture me?” He breathes out as he bunches the excess of material up higher to make me bare to him. His thumb finds my clit and starts to rub deep and slow.
“I just want to feel you.” I work hard to get his belt undone and get him free.
He keeps my dress in one hand and helps me shimmy his pants and boxers down with the other, never breaking his contact on my pussy.
The room gets hotter and the air gets heavier with cinnamon and mint and I’m overwhelmed with the sensation that is fully just him.
“You have me.” He grunts out when I grip him in my hand. He uses his other hand to pull him closer and then groans when he remembers that I told him he can’t kiss me. I push his dick inside me, only wincing slightly as I have to work a little harder to push him in fully.
When I am fully seated, his head drops back against the back side of the couch.
I start to rock forward, seeking the friction that I’m desperate for.
There’s a vein that starts to pop in his neck as he fights wanting to take full control.
He leans forward and somehow makes it to where he pushes even deeper, drawing a moan from my lips.
“There’s my girl.” He brushes my hair over my shoulder.
“Use me.” I find a faster rhythm. That mixed with the pressure he still has on my clit is the perfect stimulation.
His eyes drop from watching my chest rise and fall to where we are connected.
His free hand digs into my hip hard enough that I know I will have bruises there tomorrow.
And just the thought of that lights my body on fire even more.
“Come for me, pretty girl.” Him using that nickname feels more intentional than ever before.
Like he is erasing the heartache that Adam has caused.
His gentle praise and heavy breaths caress my skin and the lights blur as my body gives into him fully.
He thrusts a little harder as I come undone and holds me tight to him.
He follows after me and I have to fight to breathe as I watch his pleasure rush through his body and fill me.
His dick pulses inside of me and I smile at the feeling of it.
His hands start to gently rub the spots that he dug into on my skin.
I lift up easily and let him fall out of me slowly. I can feel the mess we made on my thighs and see it covering him. I lower to my knees and lick a slow path up the underside of his dick, cleaning him up. When I look up at him as I lick again, I’m pretty sure he’s stopped breathing.
“You’re everything, Mia Cassidy.” He says adoringly.
I can still taste us together on my tongue through my second drink as I make my rounds around the room.
There is something about Oliver that makes my blood feel like lighter fluid.
He makes me feel like I can do anything and he will be standing by my side to make sure that I don’t fall too hard.
I search the room again for the fifth time in the past thirty minutes just to make sure that he hasn’t gone too far.
Adam must have left just as Oliver told him he should because I haven’t seen him since we left that room for the second time tonight.
I can feel the minute that they enter the room because the lights seem to dim. My parents come to stand before me, all fake smiles and in clothes that probably cost as much as one of the paintings we will be auctioning off to help people who need it. It’s ridiculous.
“Happy Birthday, sweetheart!” My mom coos and I have to fight the urge to roll my eyes.
“My birthday was a few days ago.” I remind them.
My mom waives off my words and my dad leans in to hug me. I go through the motions like I always do.
“I have some board members I need you to come with me to talk to. They want to ask you about your vision for when you come and work at the company.” Dad acts excited for me, but he knows I hate his company.
I told him so before I left town and found myself sitting in the coffee shop that I now work at.
I’ve enjoyed every minute of my life lately.
Building real connections with people and making a difference.
I met Melinda in that coffee shop as well.
She asked if she could hang up a flyer for volunteers at her center and I jumped at the opportunity.
That flyer and Melinda’s smile spoke to my soul.
I follow Dad and we go through conversation after conversation with middle aged men that have no idea what people really deal with in life.
And it shows. They have concern for nothing but the next golf match and bottle of whiskey waiting for them when they get home.
I search for Oliver again and my mom presses her hand at the bottom of my back.
“Tattoos make you look less valuable.” I spin to look at her and this time I don’t have the ability to hold back.
“Do you hear how disgusting you sound?” Her eyes grow wide at my outburst and she purses her lips.
“You and Dad are obnoxious and oblivious. The world would be a better place if you stayed home.” I walk away to find Oliver.
He’s standing at the bar, talking to my grandmother. Both smiling warmly at each other.
I get interrupted by a man that is an investor at my dad’s company.
Oliver’s eyes lift up to mine and he takes in how uncomfortable I am.
He lifts his glass and taps his middle finger on the edge outside of the glass, secretly flipping me off.
I exhale a relieved sigh when he starts walking in my direction with purpose.
He hands his glass to the man standing in front of me, takes my hand and we leave.
No questions or excuses needed. He just rescues me.
