Chapter Four

Comanche reached next to the door with a gloved hand and snapped on the lights.

Ty grimaced and opened his eyes while sitting up in the bed.

“What the fuck is this?” he shouted. He quickly looked around and saw three others in his bedroom.

“Who the hell are you people and how dare you enter my house.” He quickly shoved the covers back and leapt from the bed.

He grabbed Kelly by the throat and shoved her back.

Then he hit her. His strike split her lip. How fucking dare you!”

Kelly just smiled, wiped her hand across mouth, then she spit out a glob of blood and it hit his chest.

Ty curled his hand into a fist and raised it to hit her again.

He didn’t know this but...the previous hit was the only one he would get in on her.

Kelly raised her bat and sneered as she stepped closer. Then she swung the bat and the thud it made when it connected with his jaw was loud. “How dare we? How dare you.”

Ty screamed as he was laid out on his bed. His hand flew to his jaw and his burning eyes would have scorched Kelly if looks could do that. “Who the fuck are you and what do you want h-here?” Ty managed to mutter as his jaw was throbbing in pain.

Kelly smiled. She stared at Ty and told her men, “Search the room. I'm sure there’s something here that we can use against this fool in court.”

Ty glared at her and sat up again. “How dare you come into my home... into my bedroom. I’ll have you arrested for this.”

“Did you make a good deal with Olivia, or was it Victor you made the deal with?”

Ty paled slightly but he didn’t say anything for a long moment. Then he said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Kelly snarled then raised her bat again and slammed it down onto his left leg.

Ty screamed again as his hands flew to his knee cap. He released more foul-mouthed shouting as he clutched his leg. “W-what the hell are you doing?”

“Have you raped her yet?” Kelly growled.

“You’re forty-five fucking years old. She’s seventeen and scared to death.

We know you’ve beaten her already. We have a witness.

You’re the type of man that likes to hurt women, aren’t you?

Your hands tell a story, did you know that?

” Kelly slammed her bat into his shoulder.

Ty screamed out in pain again.

“I’ve seen your type on the streets,” she went on with rage in her voice.

“You are nothing more than a fucking- fat- ass bully. How many women have you paid off for the beatings you gave them? Huh? How many times have you crossed that line?” Kelly raised the bat in her hand and brought it down on his groin area.

The hit sounded hard in the silence of the room.

Ty opened his mouth to shout but no sound came out of his mouth, instead his face went grey and he slumped on his bed. The hit had been vicious.

Comanche stared at her like he didn’t recognize her anymore.

Now she grabbed Ty’s arm and dragged him from the bed, flopping him down onto the floor without care.

He and Chase had thoroughly searched the room as they wore gloves and they had found some pretty damning paperwork including the contracts he’d signed with the Barrons.

They hadn’t been too careful about searching the room either, drawers were left open with the contents scattered everywhere on the floor.

Kelly took a deep breath and lowered her bat. She looked down at the man laying on the floor and stepped back a pace. Then she glanced over at the door.

Char, Crusher and Rosie stood there.

Rosie was in Crusher’s arms. Her face was badly bruised and she smiled faintly. She gave Kelly a slight nod and closed her eyes, laying her head against Crusher’s wide chest.

Char just glanced down at Ty’s body then she looked up at Kelly and gave her a satisfied nod.

Kelly walked over to the door and stepped out to follow them down the hall.

Comanche looked around Ty’s bedroom and just shook his head. The once pristine bedroom looked like a tornado in a trailer park. There was blood everywhere, mostly Ty’s but some of it was Kelly’s as well.

“Wow,” Chase exclaimed as he joined him. “Kelly fights dirty and I fucking love it.” He grinned.

“Yeah, we saw a part of her we’ve never seen before tonight, that’s for sure.

I mean we always knew she could fight but this beating was something different.

” Comanche shook his head. “Kinda makes me wonder where she learned those skills and why she had to learn them.” He sighed hard and reached for his phone.

“I better call Shay and tell him we’re on our way home. He’s probably out of his mind by now.”

“Or he will be when he sees his wife.” Chase shook his head. “Ty briefly had the upper hand for about a minute there.”

“Yeah well, I’m gonna let her explain that. Ty is a dead man walking if Shay ever finds out he mistreated her,” Comanche said as he tapped Shay’s number.

“What?” Shay growled. “You better tell me Kelly is all right or I’ll castrate you.”

“Hello to you too, Shay. She is fine,” Comanche hurried to assure the other man. “We found Char’s sister and both of them will be fine too.”

“Who the hell is Char?” Shay growled.

“A very old friend of your wife, one that goes back fifteen years,” Comanche told him.

Shay went silent for a few seconds then said, “You guys watch over them and make damn sure they get home alright. Is she really okay?”

“She will be Shay. Ole Ty never thought she’d fight back quite the way she did and he wasn’t the only one who was surprised at her moves. Your wife is a dangerous woman when she wants to be.”

“You’re only finding that out now? Where the hell have you been, kid?” Shay quipped. “You tell her that I looked Olivia and Victor Barron up. Tell her those two are going down. Very hard and very public.”

Comanche heard the rage in Shay’s voice and at that moment he wasn’t sure who was more dangerous, Kelly or Shay.

“I’ll tell her and we have more evidence you might want to look over.

Don’t worry, we’ll watch over them until we reach home.

We’ve always protected her even though we know she can take care of herself but we’re guys and we’ll never stop doing that, even if she doesn’t need it. We got her back now and always.”

Shay sighed over the phone. “That woman is my life. I’m gonna get Pappy in on this mission and we’re gonna declare war on the Barrons. It isn’t going to be pretty but we’re going to strip them clean then burn everything they think they own before this is over.”

“Good.” Comanche growled. “They deserve it. Oh, and they are guilty of murdering Char’s dad too.

At least Victor is, he told her mom that much.

He said that it was too bad the scaffolding fell apart that day as her dad fell six stories and in the end he didn’t make it.

This enraged her mother so they got into a screaming match.

But how would he even know that if he didn’t monkey with that same scaffolding? ”

Shay scoffed. “He wouldn’t.”

“Yeah, that’s what I think too.”

“Then Victor beat her into unconsciousness,” Comanche went on. “So while she was out, he grabbed both Char and Rosie and took them back to his mother’s estate.”

“Don’t tell me any more, I’m not sure I can listen to any more bullshit. Just get the girls home. The rest will follow when I know they are safe and under my roof.” The line went dead.

Comanche looked up at Chase and shook his head. “Shay isn’t happy and Kelly has a lot to explain when we get home.”

Chase looked around the room again and sighed.

Then he looked at Ty, unconscious and bleeding on the floor.

He almost felt sorry for the man, almost. Then he remembered what they’d found when they arrived and the look on Rosie’s black and blue face.

Whatever pity he felt disappeared instantly and he kicked the man laying there.

His boot caught the other man where it would do the most damage.

Ty never even groaned at the pain as he was already passed out.

Chase smiled as he hoped the man’s balls would never work properly again. Kelly’s bat had probably already made sure of that. Man, he always loved baseball. He snickered at his own joke.
