Chapter 13
Chapter Thirteen
DARIUS
After I’ve fucked her ruthlessly, against the door, on the floor, and over the table, I carry her to the bed, where I lay over her, kissing her, unable to believe that she’s really here. That she really came. A part of me didn’t think she would as it tried to dampen the other part which had been hoping all week long that she would show up.
All week long, I’d been itching to call her, text her, contact her, even more so when I saw on Tuesday that she’d got the bank to return the money to my account. I didn’t know what to make of it, how to think, but she’s here, and she’s mine. All fucking mine.
I push my dick inside her, her legs wrapping around me, her lips moving against mine, and I pull out slowly, pushing in even slower, wanting this to last. This time it won’t be rushed, it won’t be feral. It’s just us deciding to take a chance, choosing to put ourselves first.
“You gave back the money,” I say quietly, continuing to fuck her slowly.
“It didn’t feel right to keep it,” she admits.
“Why?”
“Because I want you, not your money.” Music to my fucking ears.
“I want you to have it,” I tell her, but she shakes her head.
“No way, I’m not taking it and I don’t want it. Our weekend together was an eyeopener, truly showing me what matters.”
“Which is?”
“You. Me. Us.”
“It’s going to be real fucking easy to fall for you, Bonnie,” I admit, getting a bit too deep too soon, but she simply smiles and says, “Back at you, Darius.”
And together, we come, spending the rest of the night wrapped up in one another, just as it should be.
“You ready to do this?” I ask her as I take her hand and walk up to her parents’ house with her, to get her things.
“I’m as ready as I’ll ever be,” she says as she opens the door and walks in, me hot on her heels and ready to protect her from any fucking acid they drip her way.
“What the hell are you doing here?” her sister spits as she charges down the stairs, her eyes lasered in on me.
“He’s here with me,” Bonnie says, and it’s at this moment her sister looks down and takes in our joined hands.
“You fucking bitch,” Kelly seethes, launching herself off the stairs, but I simply raise my voice and stop her in her tracks as I say, “Touch a single fucking part of her and I’ll have you arrested so fast your feet won’t even touch the floor.” Business mode, commanding, domineering, it’s what’s needed here, in this moment. I also know that Bonnie has a thing for my ‘business’ mode when I caught her swooning two days ago as I bollocked one of my employees over the phone. It’s safe to say I showed her who the boss was, and she loved every second, as did I. She’s been with me for the last three nights, and as insane as it might sound, I’ve asked her to move in with me, not wanting to be parted from her for more than I have to be. She’s declined, stating it’s too soon, so I’m here under the guise that I’m helping her take her stuff to Sadie’s, when in fact, I’m doing no such thing and taking her to my place anyway. I’m already obsessed with her, more than I probably should be, but fuck it, I’m happy, she’s happy, we just have to get this little blip out of the way and then we’ll be out of here.
“You’re not gonna call the police on me,” Kelly huffs, but she stops in her tracks anyway.
“Try me,” I warn.
“I’m just here to get my things and then I’ll be out of the way,” Bonnie says, and her sister gawps at her.
“What is going on here?” Kelly screeches, and I’m unsure what I ever thought I saw in her for a very short time, and I mean short, because I was literally trying to escape her for weeks before I managed it. Thank God I never fucked her, something Bonnie now knows.
“We’re together,” Bonnie announces, and I swear steam will come out of Kelly’s ears at any moment.
“Is this some kind of joke?” she shouts, and it must be enough to garner her mother’s attention, because she appears from the hallway that runs to the back of the house. Give me strength.
“What’s going on here… Oh, Darius, you’re here,” her mother says, the distaste on her face clear. I nod politely, not really wanting to get into conversation with her.
“Apparently, they’re together,” Kelly warbles, flapping her arms around and pointing at me and Bonnie. “And Bonnie is here to collect her things.”
“Bonnie, is this true?” her mother says, with a stern look.
“Yes, it’s true,” Bonnie confirms, and I squeeze her hand to show her I’m here for her.
“You are disgu?—”
“Save me the dramatics, Mum. I’m just getting my stuff and then I’ll be gone, you’ll never have to bother with me again,” Bonnie says, and I hear that her voice is devoid of emotion, like she knows she’s truly done with them. She’s told me a little more about how they’ve treated her, what they’ve said, and it boils my blood, to be honest. But it’s her family and her decision. I’m just here to support her whatever happens.
“If you so much as take a thing out of this house and walk out of that door with him, then you’ll have no family,” her mother spits.
“I never really had a family to begin with,” Bonnies says as she pulls me to the stairs and I follow, leaving the wicked witches at the bottom of the stairs huffing and puffing.
When we get to her room, I close the door and take her face in my hands, asking, “Are you okay?”
“I’m good, Darius. It’s been a long time coming.”
“It shouldn’t be that way.”
“But it is, and I’ve accepted it. So, now, we just need to concentrate on the future.”
“I couldn’t agree more.” And I seal our agreement with a kiss, one that I know will ensure our agreement lasts forever.
