THIRTY THREE_FINALLY YOURS

The mansion was quiet that night.

Too quiet.

After everything that had happened with Marco and Aiden’s family, the world finally seemed to slow down.

Aiden stood by the large window in their bedroom, looking out at the city lights.

He didn’t hear Alexander walk in.

But he felt his presence.

“Thinking again?” Alexander’s deep voice asked from behind him.

Aiden smiled slightly.

“You say that like it’s a bad thing.”

Alexander walked closer until he was standing right behind him.

“Sometimes it is.”

Aiden turned around slowly.

Their eyes met.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

It felt different now.

Not like the beginning of their forced marriage.

Not like two strangers sharing a room.

Now there was something real between them.

Alexander gently touched Aiden’s cheek.

“You stayed,” he said quietly.

Aiden tilted his head.

“Where else would I go?”

Alexander smiled faintly.

“You could’ve left a long time ago.”

Aiden shook his head.

“I didn’t want to.”

The room fell silent again.

Alexander’s thumb brushed softly across Aiden’s cheek.

“You make me weak, kitten.”

Aiden rolled his eyes slightly.

“You’re the most feared mafia boss in the city.”

“And yet here I am,” Alexander replied softly.

“Completely ruined by you.”

Aiden laughed quietly.

“That sounds dramatic.”

Alexander leaned closer.

“Maybe.”

His voice lowered.

“But it’s true.”

Aiden’s heart began to beat faster again.

Alexander gently pulled him closer.

Their foreheads touched.

“You trust me?” Alexander asked.

Aiden nodded without hesitation.

“Yes.”

That was all Alexander needed.

He leaned down and kissed him.

This time the kiss was slow and deep, full of everything they had been holding back.

Aiden’s fingers lightly gripped Alexander’s shirt as he kissed him back.

Alexander pulled him closer, his arms wrapping around him protectively.

The world outside the mansion didn’t matter anymore.

Not Marco.

Not the past.

Just the two of them.

When they finally pulled apart, Aiden’s face was warm.

Alexander rested his forehead against his.

“You’re really mine now,” he murmured.

Aiden smiled softly.

“I think I always was.”

Alexander chuckled quietly.

“Careful, kitten.”

“Why?”

“Because if you say things like that…”

He kissed Aiden again, softer this time.

“I might never let you go.”

Aiden didn’t mind that at all.
