THIRTY FIVE_THE RESCUE

The ride back to the mansion felt endless.

Alexander had never felt rage like this before.

His hands were clenched so tightly that his knuckles had turned white.

Across from him, his men sat in complete silence.

Everyone knew one thing.

If anything had happened to Aiden…

Marco Rossi would not survive the night.

The car finally stopped in front of the DeLuca mansion.

The front gates were broken.

Several guards were injured.

Alexander stepped out of the car, his eyes dark and cold.

“What happened?” he demanded.

One of the guards spoke nervously.

“Marco’s men attacked about thirty minutes ago.”

Alexander’s voice was sharp.

“And Aiden?”

The guard hesitated.

“They took him.”

For a moment, the world went completely silent.

Alexander slowly turned his head.

“Where?”

The guard handed him a phone.

“There was a message.”

Alexander looked at the screen.

It was from Marco.

Alexander’s expression didn’t change.

But everyone around him felt the temperature in the room drop.

“Prepare the cars,” he ordered.

“Boss,” one of the men said carefully. “He told you to come alone.”

Alexander looked at him.

“I didn’t say they were coming with me inside.”

No one argued after that.

An hour later.

The abandoned factory stood in the middle of nowhere.

Alexander walked inside alone.

The large metal doors echoed as they opened.

Inside the building—

Aiden was tied to a chair.

Marco stood beside him.

Aiden looked tired but unharmed.

When he saw Alexander, relief filled his eyes.

“Alex!”

Alexander stopped a few steps away.

His gaze moved from Aiden… to Marco.

“You made a mistake.”

Marco smiled.

“No.”

“I made my move.”

Alexander’s voice was calm.

“Let him go.”

Marco laughed.

“You came all this way and you’re giving orders?”

Alexander’s eyes turned cold.

“This isn’t a negotiation.”

Marco sighed.

“You always were dramatic.”

Then his voice lowered.

“But I wanted you to see something.”

He leaned close to Aiden.

“Look at him, Alex.”

Alexander’s fists clenched.

Marco smirked.

“This is your weakness.”

Before Marco could say anything else—

Alexander moved.

In seconds he knocked the gun out of Marco’s hand.

The two men began fighting.

Punch after punch echoed through the factory.

Marco tried to fight back, but Alexander’s anger was stronger.

Years of rage exploded in every movement.

Finally, Alexander slammed Marco against the wall.

Marco collapsed to the ground.

Defeated.

Alexander looked down at him.

“It’s over.”

Marco laughed weakly.

“…Maybe.”

Alexander ignored him and rushed to Aiden.

He untied the ropes quickly.

“Are you hurt?” he asked.

Aiden shook his head.

“No.”

Before Alexander could say anything else—

Aiden hugged him tightly.

Alexander froze for a second.

Then he slowly wrapped his arms around him.

“You scared me,” Aiden whispered.

Alexander rested his chin on Aiden’s head.

“You’re safe now.”

And this time…

The war was truly over.
