O lani looked around the beautiful city of Punta Cana as it passed them by.
When they’d arrived at the airport, and she found out where they were going, she’d been excited.
She’d never been to the Dominican Republic before, and she was eager to enjoy the tropical weather and gorgeous beaches.
She had her suspicions that they were going somewhere sunny when he’d helped her pack a couple of days before they left.
She sat in the taxi's backseat, eyes focused out of the window and losing herself in the island’s beauty. They would be there for a week, and she didn’t know what Elion had planned for their stay, but she hoped sightseeing would be one of them.
They pulled up into a roundabout, and there was a shop in front of them that appeared to sell many beach items, with four luxury huts on either side, closer to the water.
The driver got out, pulling their suitcases from the trunk as the two of them got out of the backseat.
She took in the beautiful expanse of the beach while Elion paid the driver.
“This is so pretty,” Olani stated.
“I’m glad you like the view. Wait until you see the hut I reserved. We’re in number four,” he informed her, pointing to the furthest one on the left.
She led the way as he picked up his suitcase, rolling hers behind him. When they got to the front of the hut, which was larger up close than she thought it would have been, Elion gave her the code to the door, and she punched it in. She pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Everything was beautiful and lent to the feel of being on the beach, on an island.
It was a modern take on a traditional hut, keeping the ceiling origin and adding newer fixtures and features.
The entire area was open, except for the bathroom, and she could see everything where she stood.
A king-sized bed to the right when she walked in and a white couch with gray and blue accent pillows to the left.
The rug in front of it was a plush gray.
A galley-style table was housed in the kitchen area, big enough for the two of them. It, along with the stools, looked to be handmade. The kitchen was small, but Olani didn’t anticipate that they would do a lot of cooking while they were there.
The patio doors at the opposite end allowed ample sunlight to filter in and a magnificent view of the beach and the ocean. She ventured in that direction, opened the door, and walked out. There was another small table, two lounge chairs, a grill, and a hot tub to the side, just outside the doors.
Arms wrapped around her waist, and she leaned back into Elion’s chest. “This is beautiful.”
“I had hoped you would like it. All the natural elements of the hut are local, and the owners did all the work themselves.”
She placed her hands over his arms. “What’s on the agenda for the day?”
“Some relaxation. Dinner by the water and then a walk on the beach tonight before we kick off the festivities tomorrow.”
“I like the sound of that.”
“Let’s unpack, and then we’ll go find a place to have lunch,” Elion suggested.
Olani was all for that. Their flight had taken off that morning a little after six, and she’d eaten the snacks she’d brought on the plane, but she was ready to put some actual food in her stomach.
They went back inside and unpacked. She hung up the few dresses she had brought, put her shoes in the closet and everything else in a drawer, and put her makeup bag on top of the dresser. Her toiletry bag was taken into the bathroom and placed on one of the shelves in the large shower.
She decided to freshen up before they left, and once she finished, she walked back into the other room.
“Give me a minute, Sweetheart. Then we can go,” Elion stated, walking into the bathroom.
She sat on the end of the bed, pulling her phone from the crossbody purse she was still wearing. She sent Xola a text, letting her know they’d made it. She snapped a picture of her surroundings to show her how beautiful it was.
Elion exited the bathroom, and she placed her phone back into her purse. She took the hand he offered and allowed him to lead her out of the hut. When they arrived, they’d passed several restaurants and shops a little over two blocks away.
As they made the walk, Olani took in more of the serenity of the island. They passed other people, and it didn’t take long before they came upon the unique buildings. Delicious aromas from the various restaurants and stands filled the air.
“Anything in particular you want, baby?” Elion asked.
“Everything just smells so delicious.” She looked around momentarily and saw someone walking away from a stand, and her decision was made. “Can we get chimis?”
“We can get whatever you want, Sweetheart.”
They placed their order at the stand and stepped off to the side while waiting for the food.
“Should we stop in one of the shops and see if we can buy a few things?” she questioned.
“We can. What did you want to buy?”
“Just some fruits and vegetables to make smoothies. There’s a blender at the hut, and maybe get some things to cook for breakfast.”
“We’re on vacation, baby, and you want to cook?”
Olani nodded. “Yes, for you.”
Elion smiled down at her before dropping a kiss on her lips. “We can check if you’re sure.”
They got their food when it was done, grabbed water bottles, and continued walking.
Picnic tables were stationed near the stands, and they sat at one.
She attempted to get him to share their plans for the week, but he told her every day was a surprise and he wouldn’t tell her until the day started.
That was exciting. She was looking forward to each day.
When they finished eating, they threw their trash away before dipping into several shops. The first two were a clothing and souvenir shop. The third one they came to was a small grocery store, and they could get everything Olani was looking for.
They walked back to the hut, and she keyed in the code. The contrast from outside to inside the hut was noticeable this time. She hadn’t noticed it the first time since they hadn’t been outside long before stepping in. It was humid outside, and the air conditioner in the hut was a friendly welcome.
After they put everything away, they sat on the couch, and Elion logged into his Netflix account. They would watch a movie or two before finding a place to go for dinner and walking on the beach.
E lion sat across from Olani, taking her in.
She’d changed into a lavender sundress for dinner.
Her natural hair blew in the soft breeze, and somehow, she looked radiant in the dim lighting above their table.
They’d chosen to eat on the restaurant’s patio with the soft sounds of the waves rolling in.
He hadn’t been able to take his eyes off her all evening.
She looked up from the cookie with ice cream she’d chosen as dessert, those brown eyes as beautiful as they always were.
“You’re staring,” she stated with a playful smile.
“I am,” he responded, leaning back in his seat. “And I don’t plan on stopping.”
She laughed lightly as she shook her head, and he smiled at her. “Do you want some of my cookie?”
His smile morphed into a smirk. “Yes, but I don’t want to give those around us a show. So, I can wait.”
“I…okay.”
When she finished her dessert, Elion paid for dinner but let her leave a tip. He took her hand in his and took the path to the front of the restaurant, where a few taxis were parked nearby, waiting for fares. They hailed one, and he gave them the address to their accommodations.
They took the ride back with Olani looking out the window at anything she could see and him looking at her.
He’d hoped that she would like it when he picked the place, and he was happy she did.
He’d carved out a couple of days for them to take in the sites, and she’d be able to take as many pictures as she wanted.
When they returned to the hut, he keyed in the door code, and they stepped inside.
He took his wallet from his back pocket and tossed it onto the dresser as Olani removed the purse she was wearing and placed it at the end of the bed.
He removed his shoes and socks and rolled his slack legs up before sitting her at the end of the bed and pulling the wedges from her feet.
“It’s time for that walk,” he stated.
She smiled at him, and Elion knew he would never tire of seeing it.
She took his hand and flipped the light switch for the patio; they exited through the backdoor.
He allowed her to pull him down the two steps at the side of the deck onto the sand.
They walked closer to the water until it washed up to their ankles.
“I don’t think I’ve told you yet, but thank you for bringing me here and choosing these beautiful surroundings.”
“You don’t have to thank me, Sweetheart. I’m glad you liked it.”
“Have you been here before?” she asked, leaning into his side.
“Just once, but I was here to study the local art. So, I’m seeing it and enjoying it for the first time with you,” he responded, kissing her forehead.
They continued their walk, taking in the night air and enjoying the occasional breeze from the water.
They passed a few other people lounging on the sand or playing games.
There was even a man night fishing in the ocean.
They walked for over half an hour before heading back to the hut.
There was a tap they rinsed their feet at before stepping inside.
“Let’s shower and get in the hot tub,” Olani suggested.
“You go first, and I’ll get it turned on. If we get into the shower together, we might not make it to the hot tub.”
She nodded, and Elion went back outside, turning on the hot tub before returning inside.
He took his phone from his back pocket before he removed his clothes until he was down to his boxers and placed them in one of the plastic laundry bags that was supplied.
There was no washer and dryer, so the owners were nice enough to give you something to carry your dirty clothes back home in if you didn’t want to visit a laundromat before leaving.
He pulled out a pair of the swim trunks he’d brought and laid them on the bed.
He’d gotten a few notifications while they were out and knew they were likely texts from Clara.
Once he’d informed her and his sister that he’d landed, his niece wanted to see pictures of where they were staying and the scenery.
He told her he’d show her pictures when he returned and asked that she allow him to enjoy his time off unless it was an emergency.
Fifteen minutes later, Olani exited the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her and her hair pinned up.
“I left the shower running for you,” she stated, walking to the dresser.
“Thank you, Sweetheart.”
Elion walked into the bathroom and removed his boxers before stepping into the shower. The water was already at the perfect temperature. He grabbed his loofah and shower gel he’d placed on one of the shelves earlier in the day.
He showered before turning the water off and stepped out, grabbed a towel, and dried off before wrapping it around his waist. He grabbed a second one before returning to the bedroom to find Olani in a yellow two-piece swimsuit—the color contrasted with her smooth skin.
He grabbed the trunks off the bed and slipped them on, placing the towel he’d worn on the dresser.
She grabbed her phone, and they walked outside.
He put the towel on the lounge chair closest to the hot tub while she started a playlist and set her phone on the table.
He helped her in, getting in after her and sitting across from her.
They listened to the soft music and the sounds of the water coming in for a while in silence. It was peaceful and serene, and they enjoyed being in each other’s company.
“You’re so far away,” Olani stated, breaking the silence.
“Let me fix that then, Sweetheart.”
He moved in front of her, placing his hands on her waist and pulling her to him, turning them and sitting where she’d been initially as she straddled him.
“Better?” he asked, leaning forward, lips millimeters apart.
She nipped his lower lip. “Much,” she whispered against them before kissing him.
Her hands cupped the sides of his neck as their tongues moved together. Their kiss was slow, like the soft soul that played from her phone. Elion wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, leaving no room between them.
They kissed for several long minutes, pausing here and there for him to run his tongue along her lips, for her to nip at his before they were kissing slowly again.
Her lower half rocked against his, waking his dick, and he had planned for them to stay in longer, but the way she was moving had him saying fuck it.
They’d be there for seven days. They had plenty of time to enjoy it.
“Sweetheart. I think I’ll have that cookie now,” he spoke against her lips.
“I’ll let you have it if you promise to eat it slowly.”
Elion bit her lower lip. “I plan to eat it all night.”
“Show me,” she whispered against his lips before pushing away from him.
He watched her get out, grab the towel, and dry off a bit before grabbing her phone. His eyes dropped to the sway of her hips and ass, and it was only a few seconds later he was out, turning off the hot tub and grabbing the towel.
He ran it over himself as he stepped inside in time to watch her drop her top to the floor. It was good that he had made no plans early in the morning for them. They’d be up all night.
