Epilogue

O lani looked over the screen of her laptop one last time. In all honesty, she was stalling, and she knew it. She’d made this decision, but now she was second-guessing it. What if things didn’t go the way she wanted them to? What if it turned out to be a disaster?

“Having second thoughts?” Elion asked, placing his hands on her shoulders.

“Thinking about all the what ifs. What if it crashes, or the algorithm doesn’t work?”

“The algorithm was worked on for over six months. Xola and the therapist she recruited gave and double-checked indicators, and it’s been tested thoroughly,” he responded.

“Tested by a few, not hundreds or hopefully thousands.”

“It’ll be fine. You have a team to fix any hiccups.”

Olani nodded. He was right. She’d decided to offer her website to everyone. She hired some great developers and certified relationship counselors, and compatibility therapists for the matching algorithm.

Half a year was spent on the programming, then sixty days on any testing they could think of.

She’d set a subscription price that was competitive with other sites.

Olani was excited but nervous. She didn’t want her site to fail others.

Sure, it’d worked for her, but she’d looked through everything personally for herself.

That wouldn’t be the case now. Now everything was left up to programming and people being honest in their surveys.

She hoped it would help people find their person, the same way it’d brought her and Elion together.

She’d used their story as a testimonial to lend to the success that could be found.

She knew it wouldn’t make much of a difference since it was only one relationship, but she’d been honest when she wrote it—informed that she’d only been looking for someone for herself.

Hopefully, her honesty would reach a few others.

She wasn’t sure why she was so nervous about the site failing.

It wasn’t as if she’d sunk her life into it.

If it didn’t work out, she still had her business, which was her primary focus.

Maybe she just wanted other people who’d been in a dating slump like she had, who wanted to find their forever partner, to have the chance to do so.

Elion came around, tipping her chin up. “It’s going to be fine. Better than fine. It will be phenomenal and help those who want it.” He leaned down and kissed her softly.

It was the push she needed, and Olani relaunched the site.
