41.
The boys were already at the venue for some last-minute preparation. Vihaan was on stage with his two best friends by his side.
"Thik toh lag raha hun na?" He asked for the nth time.
"Han bhai han," Aryan said, rolling his eyes. Reyansh chuckled at his antics. He was asking this every 5 minutes.
"Everything will be fine, tension mat le," Reyansh said, and he nodded.
After some time, he got a call from Arya. He attended it.
"Ansh, come outside." He hummed and cut the call.
Boys went outside to receive their girls. Media was everywhere, and why not? It was one of the biggest Companies' COO's engagement.
The media was capturing their every move, but they knew their relationship was not for the show. It was just their responsibility to invite the media as a high figure.
Bodyguards moved to open the door for them but boys stopped them. Vihaan went to the right side and Reyansh to the left.
As he saw his wife his breath hitched. He held his hand for her. She took it, and he kissed her hand. She blushed and came outside.
She was wearing a champagne color beautiful embroidered saree paired with earrings and open wavy hair. Her mangal sutra was visible on her neck. She looked simple yet elegant.
(Imagine mangal sutra)
She looked at him as he pulled her towards himself. She looked around and saw so many people. Reyansh noticed and kept her hand behind her back making her feel his presence.
"Don't worry, I am here," He whispered as She looked at him. Their eyes met. He nodded slightly as she took a deep breath.
Vhaan looked at his soon-to-be fiance and put his hand on his heart. Arohi smiled at his gesture.
He held his hand for her and helped her come out with a heavy Lhenga.
She is wearing a stunning light blue lehenga. The off-shoulder blouse is embellished with intricate beading and embroidery, and the skirt features 3D floral appliques. She's accessorized with a statement necklace and matching earrings.
"You are looking beautiful," He kissed her forehead and said. She blushed.
"You are also looking handsome, soon-to-be fiance," She said, smiling at the last part. Vihaan's cheeks tinted red.
He is wearing a blue kurta and pajama set, paired with a patterned Nehru jacket in a darker shade of blue. He's wearing black loafers to complete the look.
Arya and Reyansh smiled looking at them. They started walking to the entrance. Arohi and Vihaan were at the front, and behind them were Arya and Reyansh.
Arohi stopped because her lehenga was coming in her steps. Vihaan noticed and knelt in front of her and set her lehenga, taking it in his hands and moving it slightly upward so as not to come in steps.
They made their way to the stage hand in hand while Reyansh and Arya stood downstairs.
As Aryan saw Arya, he decided to ask her. "Umm, Aaru," He called her. She looked at him.
"Where is Reva?" He said slowly enough for just the two of them to hear. She looked at him for a moment but then said.
"She got important work at the last moment. She will be coming in some time," She said, and he nodded, slightly disappointed.
She noticed it but didn't say anything. She has noticed their behavior and how they look at each other. Little smiles Reva gave him, and the way he looked everywhere for her, she noticed it.
"What happened?" Reyansh asked him. She came out of her thoughts and looked at him. She shook his head. Reyansh already knows about Reva, Arya had told him. He was a little angry, but Arya calmed him.
Arohi and Vihaan were greeting relatives when Mrs Sharma said.
"We should start the ceremony"
Aryan looked toward the entrance but didn't find Reva there. He went outside and waited there.
After some time, a car stopped in front of him, and Reva stepped outside. She is wearing a cream-colored lehenga with intricate silver embroidery. A half-sleeved jacket with silver embroidery adds a modern touch to the outfit.
She paired it with heavy earrings, simple bracelets, and soft curls in her hair.
She looked at Aryan and came towards him smiling.
"Waiting for me?" She asked. "Uhh..Reyansh asked me to receive you," He said, ignoring eye contact.
"Oh." Her smile slightly faltered, and he noticed it, feeling guilty. He knows she has feelings for him but he can't return them.
"Don't tell me I am late," she said, walking inside.
"No, you are exactly on time," Reyansh said, coming towards them.
"You were on leave, right?" He said. "Yes, but there was a last-minute problem in our project. My friends needed me," Reva said, trying to understand her brother.
"Let's go now. The ceremony is starting," She said, helding Reyansh's hand in one with the other. She held Aryan's and went towards the stage.
Reyansh went and stood beside Arya, who smiled at him. While Reva and Aryan stood together.
The couple exchanged rings, silently vowing to be with each other in every up and fall.
There was a different glow on their faces. Reyansh and Arya looked at them and then at each other, remembering how far they had come. From strangers to knowing each other a little more every day.
Their gaze unconsciously falls on their hands on their engagement rings. They smiled, remembering that day.
"You are looking breathtaking, sunshine," Reyansh said in her ear, making her cheeks deep red.
"Like the day of our engagement. I didn't get a chance to tell you that day," he said in his deep, husky voice, sending shivers down her spine.
"You are looking ethereal," He whispered, holding her by the waist and pulling her more to his side.
His hand touched the bare skin of her waist and started drawing an invisible pattern.
She was a little disappointed at first as Reyansh didn't comment on her look, but now she was content.
"You are also looking breathtaking, Ansh," She said, making his breath hitch as his hold on her waist tightened. She smiled loving her effect on him.
