Chapter 35

Chapter Thirty-Five

Ruby grabbed Chase’s hands and pulled him down the hallway. Which was slightly awkward, because her tongue was in his mouth and she had to walk backward.

Chase broke the kiss. “Where are we going?”

“The room where I did Lana’s makeup.”

She spotted the doorway and tugged him through. Locked the door behind them.

Chase pulled her against him and kissed her. He’d clearly shaved that morning. His face was smooth, and his lips were soft and perfect.

Ruby brushed her fingers over the short bristles of his hair and shivered.

She’d missed that sensation. Missed everything about him.

He’d said he loved her. Ruby wasn’t ready to say that back. But she wanted him, needed him, and kissing Chase made the fear and uncertainty fade away. She’d always felt safe with him. Which was probably all she needed to know about her feelings for the man in front of her.

She pushed his jacket off his shoulders. Loosened his tie as she sucked his neck. Chase bunched her dress in his hands, lifting it up around her hips.

“I don’t think we can both undress each other at the exact same time,” Chase said.

She giggled. “It’ll be faster if we do ourselves.”

“Agreed.”

They separated, frantically pulling off their clothes and grinning at each other.

Ruby tugged her dress over her head and kicked off her panties.

She hadn’t been wearing a bra. Chase took longer with all his buttons, but when he shoved his pants and briefs down, his cock bounced back up, long and thick and so enticing.

She dropped to her knees and sucked his tip into her mouth. Salty precum spread over her taste buds.

“Ruby,” he moaned, hands going to her hair. His pants were still pooled around his ankles.

She looked up at him. “I missed you. Missed this.”

Chase’s lips were parted, eyes a shade darker than usual. “Stand up,” he murmured. “Let me look at you. I need a second for my brain to catch up, because this doesn’t feel like it’s really happening.”

His dick dragged along her skin as she stood. His length pressed against her stomach when she put her arms around him.

The wedding march played outside. Lana was probably walking down the aisle. Ruby felt a little guilty for missing the ceremony, but she also figured Lana would forgive her. If she even noticed.

Chase toed off his shoes, stepped out of his pants, and dropped his dress shirt onto the floor. Now they were both naked, chests moving as they breathed.

He took Ruby’s hand. “You’re still wearing your ring.”

She nodded. “I haven’t taken it off.”

He held up his left hand. “Me neither.”

Her lungs were already working in overdrive, but they squeezed even more. “I did say I felt hurt. But you didn’t hurt me. Not in any way you should feel sorry for.”

“Why did you feel hurt?”

“I made a place for you in my life. And when you were gone, it felt like something was missing. You were missing. I just wanted that back.”

Chase cradled her face and stroked her cheeks with his thumbs. He leaned forward to whisper in her ear. “Tell me what you need right now.”

“You inside of me. I’ve been dying to feel that again.”

The music swelled on the patio, and the curtains shifted in a light breeze.

Her fingers closed around his shaft and stroked. His skin was velvety soft, his dick hard and corded beneath. “Do you have a condom?” If he didn’t, it would have to be his fingers or his tongue.

But he smiled. “My wallet. I put one in there the other day, hoping we might need it. Didn’t have the heart to take it out.” He bent and grabbed his pants, fishing into the pocket.

Ruby looked around the room. “Here.” She knelt on the window seat, spreading his undershirt on the cushion. “I want you right here.”

Condom in hand, he strode over to her, his erection bobbing in front of him. “Beneath the window?”

“We can be quiet.”

“I can. But you’re pretty loud.”

“You can make me be quiet,” she whispered with a smile.

Chase put on the condom and sat next to her. He was a work of art, bathed in diffused light, muscles swooping beneath his skin. She knelt to either side of him, positioning herself over his cock.

The curtain fluttered. Outside, the officiant spoke.

She ran her fingers over Chase’s forehead, then down to his jaw. He was really here with her. He’d shared so much in the hallway, and Ruby knew she owed him more of an explanation.

“I wish I could tell you exactly how I feel or what I want beyond this moment. But I don’t know. I only know I care about you. And I miss you.”

His hands grazed her hips. “Then you can have me. I’m yours. This whole time, I’ve been yours.”

Her stomach flipped. There was the fear again, but it just made her want to hold on to him tighter.

Ruby lowered herself onto the tip of his cock, gasping as he pushed inside.

“Look,” he whispered.

Ruby followed his gaze. He’d nodded toward the other side of the room, where the three-way mirror on the vanity had caught them squarely in its center. She saw herself, thighs spread over Chase’s lap, ass pushed out. He ran his hands over her bare skin as she watched in the mirror.

“We’re beautiful together.” Ruby moved her hips, sinking even deeper onto his shaft, and she saw the motion in the reflection. Felt him within her, splitting her open.

“We are.”

She’d enjoyed sex with Chase before, but this was sweeter. More tender. Neither one of them was in control. They just moved together, giving and taking in perfect sync.

Ruby heard Lana’s voice carrying from outside. Then Max’s. They were saying their vows.

Chase’s eyes held hers. His arms were tight around her, hips thrusting himself into her. She wanted to be like this with him, over and over. She wanted all the time in the world. To explore one another, make each other come. Make each other happy.

Pleasure bloomed at her core, racing outward. She leaned forward so she could murmur in his ear. “I’m almost there.”

He fit his hand over her mouth to muffle her cry. Ruby looked over her shoulder at the mirror, and that was all it took to send her over the edge.

Chase grabbed Ruby’s hand and sucked her fingers into his mouth. He grunted as he thrust his hips against her. She felt his dick pulse inside her.

They rode out their orgasms together.

The officiant raised her voice. “Max and Lana, I’m honored to pronounce you husband and wife.” Wild clapping followed.

Chase started laughing first. Ruby caught the giggles like it was contagious.

“We’d better get dressed,” he said, “before anyone comes looking for us.”

“We’re okay. I locked the door.” She got up so he could get rid of the condom, then curled against his side. Ruby laid her head on Chase’s shoulder while his fingertips grazed her bare back.

“Will you come home with me tonight?” she asked.

“I’d love to. I will. But I’m not sure I should go back to living with you.”

She lifted her head. “Why?”

“I want to take you out on a date. Lots of dates. I know you don’t love me yet, and that’s okay. I’d like the chance to win you over.”

“So traditional of you.”

“You going to argue with me?”

“No. Dating could be good.” It would give her the distance to sort out what she was feeling.

And deal with this fear she’d been holding inside for so long.

“But I want to stay married to you. I don’t want to put pressure on either one of us, and I can’t promise ’til death do us part, but the thought of getting a divorce just feels… ”

“Wrong?”

“Like cutting my heart out.”

Chase put his palm to her chest. She felt her pulse shaking her body, heart pumping against him. For him.

“It’s the health insurance, right?”

She snorted. “Exactly. Just the health insurance.”
