Chapter 21 Heidi
HEIDI
Isat at the vanity he had installed for me doing my routine glitter sprinkle.
I never left the house without a little shimmer.
As I looked over my makeup, I couldn’t help but blush.
Thoughts of all the things Bentley had done for me so far was on a loop.
He was such a good man with no shame. He expressed his want for me openly.
I couldn’t have asked for a more confident guy.
There was no denying how easy life was with Bentley. Royce helped tremendously but it hit different coming from a man that wanted me as his partner. They had the same character except Bentley made me his top priority like Royce did Klarity. It felt good, it really did.
When I looked at him, I saw adoration in his eyes.
He talked a good game saying all the things that he thought I wanted to hear or how he felt.
Either way, it caused a shy girl to flutter.
There were things that were new to me, but he made it easy to accept.
I liked how gentle and patient he was with me as well.
Very fuckin’ delusional, but what did I expect.
He had Atkins blood flowing through him.
“Feel good, look great,” I said aloud quoting Summer Walker.
Those tatted muscular arms boxed me in as he bent down to whisper in my ear.
Bentley was single handedly transitioning me from a woman who didn’t dare talk to or touch a man to a woman that craved him.
It was crazy how every time we were in the same proximity my body behaved like I was hot in the ass. Straight hot and bothered.
“You damned sure do. I’m happy to have you on my arm tonight Mrs. Atkins,” he complimented. That feeling that came after every word he spoke to me was back.
“That’s not going to stop, is it?” I questioned really not wanting him to stop at all. I enjoyed it actually.
“I know good and doggone well you know it’s power in the tongue. I’m gon’ keep claiming you as my wife until it happens.”
A tingling sensation started between my thighs before coursing through the rest of my canvas. I was starting to think he knew exactly the effect he had on me. The attraction had always been there. I’d be lying if I said it hadn’t.
“You’re optimistic I see.”
“I’m a manifestor. If I don’t speak it, I won’t receive it. You ready to go?” he asked staring me down through the mirror. He had the look of a man that wanted to devour his woman whole.
God if this man is for me, say something. There’s only so many walls a girl can hide behind.
Nodding, I reached up and ran my fingers through his beard. “I’m ready love,” I answered with a smile.
“For a touch-me-not, you sure love touching me.”
Yanking my hand back, I sat up and found everything to look at except him. “I’m sorry,” I apologized.
It came so naturally, I didn’t even realize I’d let myself get so comfortable with him. A low chuckle rumbled in his chest causing my body to overheat. The smallest details were ones that heightened my attraction to him. A black man seeking black love from a black woman…
That’s a whole lot of brown chil’ren on yo’ Forbes list. Niyani called it.
“For what? Showing affection to yo’ man?” He reached down and grabbed that same hand and put it back where it belonged… on him. “I done told you one time already, you can do whatever you want. Ain’t nobody else getting this but you.”
Thank you. The reassurance is always needed.
“We’ll never make it if we keep this up Mr. Atkins,” I said eager to hear the reciprocation with Mrs. Atkins.
“Say the word and we won’t. I got an album I been waiting to hear. I just know yo’ moans are tunes of an angel,” he whispered in my ear followed by a quick peck to the face. Having him that close caused my nipples to harden and my pussy to pulsate.
Closing my eyes for a brief second, I envisioned nonstop physical touch and an orgasm that lasted for hours.
Being celibate for so long then coming across a man that hit every spot without doing too much of anything was challenging.
It had been quite some time since I had to coach myself not to get lost in a man.
Bentley Atkins was making it hard not to stay on my side of the court.
“We’re leaving Mr. Atkins,” I moaned softly.
“Yes ma’am.”
Finally taking a step back, he gave me room to breathe.
His cologne along with other things had my brain clouded.
All I was thinking about was jumping his bones knowing good and well, I wasn’t ready for that.
I was feeling the hell out of this man and the temptation was getting stronger and stronger by the second.
Standing, I grabbed my small clutch that could house my phone and lip gloss. I was with my man, what I looked like carrying a wallet. Your man?... Your man. Anyway, I was ready to support my girl and have a good time with my crew.
“Let’s go,” I said walking out the bedroom door. He was on my heels like I knew he would be.
Because of the lioness roaming free, he thought enough of me for us to travel in one of the vehicles from the garage.
What I could say was the layout of his home, the land it sat on, and the surrounding area was twice as big as the compound.
It was just Bentley and Aunt Daisy, I understood why it wasn’t more than just his home built.
Hitting the main road shortly after, we enjoyed the Florida breeze.
The blunt was fired up and we passed it back and forth amongst each other.
The weed down here hit different. I was floating on cloud nine vibing to the music and the presence of my man.
His hand resting on my thigh caused a slow leak I couldn’t speak on.
The night life in Miami was the complete opposite of what it was in Sage Springs.
The folk walked the streets constantly and there was a new vibe damn near on each corner.
To make it even better, you could smell the ocean in the mix.
I loved it down here. I could see myself starting anew as a 305 wife.
Pulling into the parking lot, I quickly noticed that this was the same club Niyani, and I left early from. I could’ve sworn she gave me the information to a place downtown which was why I booked the Ritz. It was closer to my destination.
“This isn’t the place Bentley,” I voiced.
“Nah, it is. He changed that shit last minute today. Right before I came and picked you up from MIA to be exact. I knew you were coming, so I figured putting you in a place that I could control was better. I got cameras in this muthafucka damn near everywhere. If anything goes left, I’ll see it.
I ain’t want us to be nowhere I couldn’t catch a body in.
I ain’t playing ‘bout you Mama,” he stated with conviction.
Having a man stand behind you and not be afraid to handle shit felt good.
I was naturally tiny but with him, I felt like a giant.
That was the kind of protection I witnessed with the women in my family, and that was the kind of protection I’d been looking for.
Denying this man any further would be a fools move.
“I know love. You make it very clear, and I like that about you.”
“Oh yeah? Don’t be gassing me up. I get to believing you and shit, then I want to visit the courthouse.”
“Boy what?” I asked giggling my heart out.
“I ain’t talking just to be talking and you know it. I will have a judge at the courthouse in twenty minutes ready to sign off on our marriage certificate. Don’t play with me beautiful,” he said bringing the car to a complete stop. He looked over at me to make sure I understood what he was saying.
“I got it love. Tonight isn’t the night for all that. We’re her to support Qwan and Niyani. Park and walk me inside please,” I voiced trying to ignore how ready he was to jump the broom for me.
He pulled up to the front door using valet parking to his advantage.
My hand was intertwined with his as he led the way.
While everyone else walked in through the front door, he took us around to the side and we entered there instead.
We took a few flights of stairs coming to another door.
He did a quick tap on the door and access was granted.
“What’s good boss?” the bouncer greeted.
“You tell me Maxx,” Bentley said dapping him up. “We good on the sections?”
“Yes sir. Mula is in the office. She wants to see you for a second.”
“This my wife Heidi. She can come and go whenever she pleases. Baby this Maxx. He work this floor and this floor only. So, when you come through that side door, or ride the elevator up, it’ll always be him.”
Nodding, I offered a small wave. Bentley was satisfied with the interaction and headed to the left with me still attached to him.
I could barely move in the fit I had on, but he was right about one thing.
I looked damned good on his arm. If he was anyone else, we wouldn’t be here, and he wouldn’t have the privilege to be so physical with me.
There was a small hallway we went down before we came to a stop. He gave a light knock with a woman’s voice beaming on the other side. “Yeah?”
He opened the door and stepped inside. The woman behind the desk was a cutie pie. She was dressed in a cute lil’ two piece that didn’t show off too much skin or assets. She carried a small smile as she stood to meet Bentley halfway. When she noticed me, her smile grew.
“You needed me?” Bentley inquired.
“I did but tell me who’s this beauty? God, she is gorgeous,” she complimented me.
Returning the gesture, I said, “Thank you. You’re as equally beautiful. What’s your name?”
“Mula or LaLa. Feel free to call me either or. And you are?” she countered.
“My wife,” Bentley interjected. He wasn’t going to let me answer anytime that question was asked. It made me blush uncontrollably. I couldn’t hide it if I tried.
Slapping my hand across his chest, I corrected him by saying, “It’s Heidi. Nice to meet you Mula.”
