Mitchell
Her cry echoes in the room as she shatters under my mouth, her fingers tightening in my hair like she's holding on for dear life. I taste her release, sweet and heady, and it takes every ounce of my Marine discipline not to lose it right there.
Christ, she's responsive. Like she's been waiting her whole life for this—for someone to show her what pleasure really feels like. I kiss my way back up her body, savoring every tremble, every gasp. Her eyes are wide, cheeks flushed, that strawberry-blonde hair fanned out like a halo.
“I love you, Evie,” I say.
She gives me a dreamy smile. “I love you.”
I hover over her, bracing on my elbows so I don't crush her. “You okay?” My voice comes out rougher than intended, laced with the need pounding through me.
“Better than okay,” she whispers, pulling me closer with a shy smile. “More. Please.”
“Yeah, wife, there’s more.” I position myself at her entrance, the heat of her making my cock throb. She's slick from what I just did, but I know this is her first time. I really don’t want to hurt her. So I go as slow as possible. “Tell me if it hurts, Evie. We can stop anytime.”
I kiss her forehead, then her lips, soft and reassuring.
Her legs lift, wrapping around my waist, pressing me closer. I sink deeper inside her.
She nods, eyes locked on mine with that wide-open trust that undoes me.
I press forward gently, inch by inch, feeling her tightness grip me like a vice.
She gasps, a sharp intake that twists my gut. There's resistance, a moment where her nails dig into my shoulders, and I still completely.
“Breathe. I've got you.” I kiss her through it, murmuring against her mouth.
She relaxes slowly, her body adjusting, and I thrust a little deeper, careful strokes that build the rhythm. Passion surges as she arches into me, her soft curves pressing against my chest, every moan fueling the fire.
“You feel like heaven. So tight and warm. Like you were made just for me.”
I angle my hips, hitting that spot that makes her eyes flutter shut, and she whispers my name like a prayer.
“Mitchell.”
“Fuck, just like that.” I pick up the pace, our bodies syncing in a heated dance—sweat-slicked skin, her legs tightening around my waist.
She looks up at me, her lips parted on a moan.
I search eyes for any sign of discomfort. But there's only heat and affection.
The coil inside me tightens, pleasure building like a storm, but I hold back, wanting her there first. When she shatters again, clenching around me with a cry, I follow—groaning her name as my orgasm crashes through me. I pour myself into her while I chant her name.
After I clean us both up, I pull her to my chest, loving the feel of her naked softness against me.
“I can’t believe all of this happened,” she says.
“The sex?” I ask.
“Well, that too. But meeting you instead of your brother. Falling head over heels in love with you, but thinking the whole time that I couldn’t have you.
” She leans up, her chin on my chest. “Even if I had allowed myself to dream of the kind of man I wanted or needed, I never would have conjured someone as amazing as you. You’re better than any fantasy or fairy tale. ”
I kiss her, hoping that my lips can convey what I know my words could not.
“I’m not as eloquent as you,” I say. “And I’m not a prince by any stretch of the imagination.
So the fact that I married an actual princess doesn’t make sense to my brain.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to provide a life for you like the one you’re used to.
I live pretty simply. But I will do anything and everything to make you happy. ”
“You’ve already made me happy.”
“But you grew up in a palace.”
“Where I was never alone, and all of my decisions were made for me. Being together will take adjustment on both of our parts, don’t you think? You’re used to doing everything on your own.”
“True.” I kiss her forehead. “You know I’ve been restless lately. Feeling like it was time for a change.”
“What are you thinking?”
“You said Birdie is the one who set all this up for you? She’s a friend from your childhood?”
“She is. I was so happy when she left and built a life here. But I’ve missed her dreadfully.”
“You know that’s where Mike and I are originally from. Saddle Creek, where she lives with her husband. Maybe it’s time for a career change for me. And time to go home.”
“So I could have you and be close to Birdie? You’d do that for me?”
“Evie, you should know by now, I’ll do anything for you.”
