Chapter Five #2
Packaging up the chocolate chip cookies, massive sellers at the shop, she watched as the man himself stepped into the back of the shop. The Hell’s Bastards MC had the keys which meant they could get in at any time.
“Good morning,” he said, coming toward her and wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her against him.
She had no intention of voicing a protest as he took possession of her lips. Both of his hands were at her waist, and he stood behind her. He moved one hand to cup her jaw.
“Morning,” she said.
“Have you put the coffee on?”
“Yep, and there is also a cinnamon roll waiting for you.”
“You know how to win me over,” he said.
“Are you the only one that takes this duty?” she asked.
“No, but I’m the only one willing to get up this early. Trust me, the guys would be more than happy to check on you, and it means I get to come and kiss my favorite girl.”
That made her so happy. She didn’t even understand why.
“Why? Do you have a problem with it being only me that keeps an eye on you?” he asked.
“Not at all.” She laughed. “I’ve got no problem with it at all.”
She watched as he moved across the kitchen to where she had poured him a coffee and left a cinnamon roll on a plate. He picked up the roll, took a bite, and rolled his eyes. “That is so fucking good.” Next, he sipped his coffee. “And this just makes it complete.”
“Good.” She continued to package up the baked goods, getting everything organized and ready to put on display.
Larissa loved this part, arranging the main bakery with everything she had made that morning.
She loved the routine of baking, the science of it.
Rarely did it go wrong, providing she stuck to the recipe.
Ava had already cleared the recipes she wanted her to use for the next couple of weeks.
The way to keep the bakery fresh and exciting was to know when to change it up.
“What are your plans for tonight?” Big Dick asked.
She glanced over at him. “Actually, Hailey’s invited me out to the bar, for a bit of a girls’ thing.”
“A girls’ thing? I’ve not heard anything about this.”
“I don’t know if anyone else has been invited. Hailey said she just wanted to have some fun.” And it wasn’t even Friday yet. Larissa was not going to allow her friend to leave without her.
“And you didn’t think to ask me?”
She put a hand on her hip. “Why would I ask you?”
“Uh, I’ve been around your place every night.”
“For four days,” she said.
“And you don’t think what we’ve been doing doesn’t mean I might want to know if you’re going out or not?” he asked.
“We’re not ... dating,” Larissa said, confused.
“Ah, so you just let every random guy lick your pussy?”
She opened her mouth and closed it. “No, that is not ... you know I don’t ever allow that.
” She had gone further with Big Dick than anyone she had ever known.
It kind of scared her just how close she had come to telling him she wanted to go all the way.
It was just stupid and scary and insane.
There was no way she could just be open with him like that.
Sex was supposed to matter, to mean something. And yet, there were moments she felt her restraint slipping.
Big Dick stepped toward her. “I don’t want to argue with you. You want to go out, that’s fine, but remember who you belong to.” He cupped her cheek. “And you never forget it.”
He gripped her chin and kissed her.
“Okay. Would you mind if I went out with Hailey to the bar tonight?”
“Yeah.” He leaned in close. “But you better know that I am going to tease your pussy and not let you come right away.”
Before she could protest, his cell phone went off. He did kiss her again, before he stepped away to answer it. She was so screwed.
He finished taking the call. “I’ve got to go, but I will see you later.” And with that, he kissed her lips before leaving out the back door.
She collapsed against the wall. They hadn’t told anyone they were dating.
She had asked to keep it between them, at least for now.
Big Dick was known for having a long line of women.
She didn’t want to be pitied, and she hated to admit it, but it was a lot of fun.
A secret relationship. They were not hurting anyone, and no one was putting their two cents in.
She opened up the shop, and for the rest of the day until five that afternoon, it was nonstop selling, until she had no choice but to close the shop for the evening. She got through all of her chores, cleaning up and making everything suitable for her return tomorrow morning.
It was Thursday evening, and she changed in Ava’s office, into a different dress that seemed more evening appropriate.
This one was still a summer dress, but it was blue with little white dots, and it molded to her curves in a different way from her daytime dresses.
She did own a couple of pairs of jeans, and she would randomly wear them, but they felt uncomfortable to her.
Stepping out of the shop, she locked up and saw Hailey was already waiting for her outside the beauty parlor.
“I thought you were working until six.”
“Saw you close up early and decided to do the same, and I have already ordered us a taxi.”
“A taxi?”
Larissa frowned but within seconds there was a taxi right in front of them. There was no time to question it, and she climbed into the back. She didn’t recognize the taxi driver, but she did know there were services around town that offered a taxi.
She didn’t need to worry, as within ten minutes, they were outside of Ryan’s Place. It was already busy, and it was only ten past six.
Climbing out, Hailey paid the fare, and they walked arm in arm through the doors and went straight up to the bar. Larissa ordered a soda, while Hailey started on the shots.
“So, is it only us?” she asked.
“I hope you don’t mind. I love Harlow and the other ladies and everything, but we’re the only ones without ... well, you know, connections to the biker guys.”
She took a seat, thinking about Big Dick as she did so. This was insane.
“You’re right.”
Hailey looked at her. “You seem different.”
“What?”
“I know it has been a bit of a rough time after the shooting. Are you okay?” Hailey asked.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m okay.” She offered the other woman a smile. “I’m just getting used to everything.”
“It’s a lot to get used to,” Hailey said. “You know what is crazy?”
Larissa shook her head.
“I would ask Kinky if he wanted to come here. I never once thought about the reasons he kept me so secret. I thought it was a lot of fun, you know? A secret romance.”
“A secret romance?”
“I don’t know if you know, but Kinky and I were together.
” Hailey smiled but it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
“He was my first.” She took a deep breath.
“And it was all a lie. I was falling in love with him. I bared my soul to him. Told him the truth about how it sucked to be the one no one wanted. The one everyone thought was nothing but a big fat joke. They didn’t think I was going to make anything of myself, and were more than happy for me to go off and prove them right. ”
“Hailey.”
She looked at her with tears in her eyes. “I haven’t proven them right yet. Just my taste in men.”
“You didn’t like being in a secret relationship?”
“I did, but it was all a lie. Kinky was just sleeping with me to find out more information. He thought I was working for some kind of enemy club.” She shrugged. “I don’t know if it came from Big Dick or Smokey. I just know Kinky was the one tasked with ... sleeping with me.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine. I am getting over it. I don’t know if you know this, but every single time we go out with the other ladies, the men come, and so does Kinky, and it is hard to get over someone who will not leave you alone.” Hailey sighed, and Larissa saw the tears in her eyes.
There had been moments when she actually thought Hailey had moved on completely. This was proof that the other woman was still hurting. She was not going to tell her she was in a relationship with Big Dick.
“I adore them, just so you know, but I would just like to go out without seeing him.”
Larissa nodded. “I get it.”
Hailey sighed. “I’m so sorry to unload on you like this.”
“That is what friends are for, and we’re friends. Don’t you worry, I’ve got your back.” And she offered the other woman a wink.
Hailey laughed. She knocked back a shot, and Larissa took a sip of her soda.
“You’re going to have to drink with me, at least one shot,” Hailey said.
“No, that’s okay. I am happy with the soda.” She smiled at the other woman, remembering how bad it had felt having just a couple of shots.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me,” Hailey said.
Larissa looked toward her and saw her gaze toward the doorway of the bar.
She looked behind herself, and crap on a stick, Big Dick, Kinky, Brick, and several of the guys who were not attached to any women, walked into the bar.
There was no way this was a coincidence. She shouldn’t have said anything.
Turning her attention back to the bar, she reached for the shot and swallowed it down in one gulp.
“They’re clearly here for other people,” Larissa said. “Come on. Let’s dance.”
She grabbed Hailey’s hand and quickly tugged her onto the dance floor, trying to get lost between the medley of people. Only, Thursday nights were not as busy as Friday nights.
She looked toward Big Dick, and he was staring right at her. Kinky was with him. Crap. They were also standing where she and Hailey had been moments before. She kept her friend’s attention on her.
“Why are they here?” Hailey asked.
“Probably to have a drink and a dance, or something like that.”
“I cannot get away from them.”
“It’s okay. You and I can have some fun.”
That proved to be difficult. When Hailey wanted to go and get a drink, Larissa kept an eye on Kinky and Big Dick.
This caused her to have more than one shot of tequila.
She had to keep Hailey moving and away from Kinky.
This meant trips to the bathroom, onto the dance floor, knocking back way too many shots.
Hailey wouldn’t go with her to one of the trips to the bathroom, and Larissa couldn’t hold it.
The room was starting to spin, and she felt a little sick.
She sat down on the toilet and tried to gain focus.
The tequila was wreaking havoc on her body.
This was not good. She had to tell Hailey they needed to call time, and as she stepped outside the stall, she came face to face with Big Dick.
“Why did you come? Hailey is upset and you had to bring him with you.” That was at least what she thought she said.
“You’ve had too much to drink.”
Was it her, or was his voice taking a long time to speak? The world was spinning. This was a bad idea.
Larissa didn’t know what happened next, as everything went black.
