CHAPTER 7
Prisha spent most of her time in her room. Thankfully, Shaurya didn’t disturb her. She heard from Tina that Shaurya had joined the office that's why he was spending less time in house.
Today was her practical exam.
In the evening,
"Raj, I told you I could have come by auto. You wasted your time; I can come by myself. Still, thank you so much,” she said with a smile.
“Prisha, it’s fine. And in friendship, there is no thank you, no sorry.” She smiled hearing him. They both got out of the car and started talking, standing in front of the mansion gate. At the same time, Shaurya entered riding a bike. He felt an unknown emotion seeing her talking to another man like this.
He angrily marched toward them and said, “If you want to meet your lover, do it outside my house."
Prisha and Raj turned toward him. Raj said angrily, “Hey man! Who are you? And how dare you talk to us like this?”
Shaurya grabbed his collar and said, “If you love your life, get out of my house. This is my house and I can talk to anyone however I want."
Raj jerked his hand, and glared at him, then holding Prisha’s hand, he said, “Prisha, let’s go out, we will talk there.” Before Prisha could react, Shaurya pulled her toward him, holding her waist, shocking both Raj and Prisha.
“She is not going anywhere. She lives in my house, and she has to follow my rules. And I am not allowing her to go out with you,” he said, pulling her closer.
“She is your guest, and you are just her sister’s brother-in-law., not owner. Why are you behaving like a husband?” Hearing Raj’s words, Shaurya and Prisha looked at each other with wide eyes. Shaurya immediately let her go and marched inside the house while Prisha composed herself and said, “Raj, please go home. I will talk to you tomorrow.”
Raj was worried seeing her condition. He grabbed her hand and said, “Let’s go, I am going to meet Sneha and
you are coming with me.” She tried to resist, but he didn’t listen to her and drove to meet his girlfriend.
On the other side, Shaurya was angrily pacing in his room. He was frustrated thinking about his behavior. That boy was right; he was actually behaving like a possessive husband. He took a deep breath and said, “I behaved like this because I was trying to save that boy from a gold digger. Stupid boy, I was trying to help him, but if he wants to fall into the pit, it’s his choice.” Giving excuses for his behavior, he walked to the washroom to take a shower.
At dinner,
Shaurya walked to the dining table, unknowingly he started looking for Prisha. The question, he wanted to ask , his mother asked.
“Tina, where is Prisha?” Shaurya's mother inquired.
“Mom, she had dinner with her friends. Shesaid, she was not hungry,” Tina informed her. She nodded and resumed eating her food. Tina replied. His mother nodded and continued with her meal.
Shaurya's jaw tightened as he processed Tina's words. How could Prisha have gone out when he especially told her not to? The frustration simmered inside him, he took a deep breath to calm himself.
At night,
Prisha was studying, when suddenly her door opened and Shaurya stepped inside the room. Hearing door opening voice, she raised her head and stammered seeing Shaurya who was looking at her angrily,"What are you doing here?”
She stood up from the bed, but before she could react, he was already marching toward her, his eyes blazing with anger. She tried to run, but he grabbed her arm, and they both tumbled onto the bed.
Shaurya was so angry, he held her hands above her head, shocking her. She cried, “What are you doing? Please leave me.”
“Why did you go with that boy? I told you not to go with him,” he asked, looking at her with furious red eyes.
“Please leave me, I am feeling uncomfortable. Please,” she begged, which increased his anger. He clenched her jaw between his fingers and said, “Uncomfortable? You are feeling uncomfortable because of my touch, but you were enjoying it when that boy touched you.”
Before he could speak further, his father entered the room and was shocked to see their position. Seeing him, Shaurya and Prisha panicked. They hurriedly jumped out of the bed. Shaurya tried to speak, “Dad, I....."
But before he could finish, a slap landed on his cheek. His father slapped him again and said, “You will never change. How long will you keep humiliating me like this?"
“Dad, you are getting everything wrong. There is nothing between us. I just....” His father interrupted him and showed a video of their marriage, shocking them both.
“What is this? If you want to marry her, you could have come to me. But no, and why did you force her to marry you?” he asked angrily.
"I was drunk and it’s her plan to trap me. These sisters are both gold diggers," Shaurya spat, glaring at Prisha, who was crying and staring at the ground.
Shaurya’s father slapped him again. "Do you think I am stupid? Anyone can see from the video that you were the one forcing her to marry you."
Shaurya remained silent, his mind refused to accept his father's words.,"Dad, it’s all an act. She was trying to act innocent." he insisted stubbornly.
Shaurya’s father closed his eyes in frustration, realizing his son would never admit his mistake. "I don't want to hear anything more. You are going to marry Prisha. I will talk to her mother when she returns."
Both Prisha and Shaurya widened their eyes in shock, the room falling into a tense silence. Finally, Shaurya broke it. "What are you saying, Dad? I will never marry this gold digger, no matter what."
His father fixed him with a stern look. "Shaurya, you have only two options: agree to marry her, or I will transfer all my property to Rakesh, especially your Grandma’s house."
Shaurya was stunned. It wasn't about greed; he simply couldn't let Rakesh have everything. "Dad, you can’t do this to me," he said, still struggling to accept what he was hearing.
"I can and I will," his father replied with a smirk. "Now, tell me your decision."
Shaurya closed his eyes in frustration. He knew his father wasn’t bluffing, and he couldn’t let Rakesh get the property while he was alive. He glanced at Prisha, who was still crying. "Fine, I’ll marry her," he conceded.
His father smiled, but before he could speak, Prisha shouted through her tears, "No, I will not marry your son. Even knowing he forced me, you still want me to marry him? How can you do this?" Prisha said building courage inside her system.
Prisha was never a bold and confident girl, she always talk nicely with everyone. She didn’t like to shout in front of anyone but today, she has to stand for herself. She can’t marry this devil. He would spoil her life.
A relieved smile spread across Shaurya’s face.First time, he didn't feel angry with Prisha. His father could force or blackmail him, but he has no right on Prisha. He smirked seeing his father going out of the room silently.
As soon as his father has left the room,he patted her cheeks and said,"Good Girl."
Then Shaurya grabbed Prisha’s hand and said in warning tone,"Listen carefully, don’t you dare say yes to this marriage. I don’t want to marry you. And you know if you agree, you are going to be stepped inside the hell."
Before he could say anything further, she jerked his hand away and said in the same tone, "Mr. Shaurya Rawat, you don’t have to warn me. I am not interested in marrying you. I will not marry you, even if you are the last man on earth. Your presence makes me sick. And you don’t have to worry, I'm leaving tomorrow, and I just hope we never meet again. Now, get out of my room. I want to sleep."
Shaurya gritted his teeth in anger, wanting to lash out at her for speaking to him like that. He was surprised by her newfound confidence. He grabbed her hand again and snarled, "Don’t you dare talk to me like this."
Prisha said nothing, pushing him out of the room and slamming the door shut. Once the door was closed, she collapsed to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably.
