CHAPTER 15
One month later,
Prisha was combing her hair,standing in front of dressing table. She was thinking about her life, they were happy and content sincetheir love confession. However, Shaurya had been acting strangely distant for the past week. She tried to ask if something was bothering him, but he brushed it off, claiming she was overthinking.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her mobile ringing. It was a message from Shaurya, asking her to come to the cottage. She was confused, what happened suddenly, he was calling her to cottage then she said with a smile,"Maybe he wanted to give surprise to me." With a big smile, she quickly got ready and asked the driver to drop her off at the cottage.
She rushed inside the house but froze upon seeing Tina holding Shaurya’s hand in the living room. Tina was pleading, “Shaurya, please forgive me. Marrying your useless brother was the biggest mistake of my life. He brainwashed me, but I love you, Shaurya. Let’s run away together. I don’t want anything but you. I’ll divorce Rakesh.”
Before she could continue, Rakesh stormed into the house, shouting, “What is all this?”
Shaurya smirked and said, “Oh Rakesh! I’ll tell you what’s going on. Your wife wants to come back to me and leave a useless man like you. Feeling bad, bro? You claimed you had money and charm, that no girl could resist you. But look at you now. Your own wife wants to leave you for your brother. Imagine the media frenzy when they find out. They’ll wonder if you can’t satisfy her or if there’s another issue. You planned so much to take revenge on me, but it all backfired.” He laughed loudly.
Rakesh, gritting his teeth, turned to Tina, “You gold digger, middle-class girl. I gave you everything, and this is what you do. I don’t want to live with you either. I just married you to take revenge on Shaurya, but now you’re of no use.” He shook off her hand and left.
Tina stood frozen. Shaurya’s voice broke her trance, “Tina, don’t stand there. Go after him; he’s your blank cheque.” He paused and smirked, “You’re so stupid. I called you, told you I wanted to go back with you, and you believed me. How could you think I’d want to go back to a girl who betrayed me for money? Now go after him or find another man who can give you a luxurious life.”
Furious, Tina shouted, “Why did you do this? You planned this whole drama to call me and talk about giving another chance?” He nodded. She didn't say anything, she realized she had lost everything.
She looked at Prisha who was standing at the entrance, looking broken. Tina's expression changed, seeing Prisha, she understood he was acting with her too. She walked closer to her and said with smirk," I warned you before, he was just using you for taking revenge on me and Rakesh . He can never love a girl like you,see now your dream house broke.”
She patted her cheeks and said,"So sad, sister. I am really feeling bad for you."
After saying this, she walked to her car and was going to sit when the driver stopped and said,”Rakesh sir instructedme to tell you that there is no need to come back home. He will send you divorce paper.” Saying this, he sat in the car and left, Tina gritted her teeth in anger, she closed her eyes. She can’t lose everything, she did so much for all these luxuries and she can’t lose everything in a day. She has to do something.
Prisha slowly approached Shaurya, her voice trembling with fear, “Shaurya, what happened? We were happy. Why all this revenge?”
Shaurya, sitting on the sofa, replied coldly, “Are you really that stupid or just acting? Whatever. Prisha, it was all an act. I wanted revenge on your sister and Rakesh. I saw she was getting jealous seeing us together and decided to use that. The care, the fast, the honeymoon... everything was an act. Today, I got my revenge on Tina, Rakesh, and you. You’re just like your sister. You married me for money. I know my dad transferred 10 lakhs to your account before our marriage so, no need to act innocent."
Prisha, stunned and heartbroken, couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She felt her world shattering around her, the love and trust she had in Shaurya crumbling into betrayal and despair.
He stood up and said,”Our story started in this house and today, I am ending our story in the same house. And remember I never loved you.”
Before he could speak further, Prisha slapped him and said,”I hate you, Shaurya. I hate you for playing with my feelings. For making fun of my love. For breaking my trust. I will never forgive you for this. Never show your face. You are right, our story has ended today. Your chapter in my life has ended Mr Shaurya Rawat."
Shaurya looked at her with wide eyes, he was feeling like someone was taking his life. He was feeling restless, masking his emotions, he composed himself and shouted,"Get out, even I don’t want to see your face.” Prisha glared at him, she pulled the locket and threw it at his face and left.
