Chapter 1.
Brian leaned back on his old, worn sofa, the thin, faded fabric doing little to cushion his back. He sighed, the sound heavy with a weariness that went beyond physical exhaustion. The television murmured in the background, a local news report filling the air with the mundane drama of the day.
"In other news," a polished voice from the television said, "the choice of the new CEO and owner of Dranning Corporation has been made.
However, as of right now, there is no information on who this individual is, and the two-hundred-billion-dollar corporation is still keeping the information a secret.
It is said that this individual has impressed the board members, and there are rumors that even Mrs. Dranning has come forward and has accepted the choice. "
Brian just stared at the screen, a sense of detached irony settling over him.
It had been five days since he had dropped those two envelopes on the contract and walked out, leaving a life of unimaginable wealth behind.
He could have been sitting in a villa in Hawaii right now, the sun on his face and a drink in his hand.
Instead, he was sitting in his modest apartment, with a twenty-minute drive to the factory where he worked the late shift for minimum wage.
He sighed again and stood up, the springs in the sofa groaning in protest. He grabbed his lunchbox off the small table, a beat-up metal box that had been his companion for the last five years. It wasn't much, but it was honest work. It paid the bills, even if barely.
He headed out to his old car, a rust-colored sedan that had seen better days, and slid behind the wheel.
The radio crackled to life, his favorite country station playing the same old songs.
He drove the same familiar route he had followed for the past five years…
the same turns, the same red lights, the same dreary landscape.
No promotions, no raises above the usual cost-of-living increase. But he got by.
As he pulled into the factory parking lot, the asphalt cracked and pockmarked, he saw the usual people. His friend Danny, a gruff, stocky man with a laugh that rattled the windows, stood there waiting.
"Welcome to the late shift, Mr. Bigshot," Danny called out, a mischievous grin on his face.
"What the hell are you talking about, you old badger?" Brian shot back, a smile tugging at his lips. It was their normal routine, a friendly exchange of insults that always ended with a laugh.
"You haven't heard?" Danny asked, his grin widening.
Brian looked at him and tilted his head. "Heard what?"
Danny pulled out his phone, his thumb swiping across the screen. "This," he said, and turned the phone to face Brian. The words on the screen hit him like a punch to the gut: "New CEO of Dranning Corporation... Brian Thomson."
"What the fuck," Brian said, his voice a low whisper. He grabbed the phone, his eyes scanning the headline. The words were a surreal jumble, a cruel joke. He looked at Danny, a bewildered expression on his face. "This isn't you, right? You're messing with me."
Danny shook his head. "No, man. It's on all the news sites. Look."
Brian stared at the headline, a cold dread settling in his stomach. He shook his head, a single, definitive motion. "Fuck no. I have no wish to run that company. Are you kidding me?" He had made his choice, a final, unyielding decision, and the universe seemed determined to mock him for it.
"So explain that," Danny said, his eyes wide with disbelief.
As if on cue, a sleek, black limousine with tinted windows pulled into the parking lot. It was a vehicle that had no business being here, a creature of a different world. The rear door opened, and Constance Fanning stepped out.
She was a vision, a perfect, unattainable dream made real.
Her dress was the color of a ruby, a deep, vibrant red that seemed to absorb all the light around her.
It clung to her body like a second skin, highlighting every graceful curve, every powerful line.
It was a dress that screamed confidence, and it was a masterpiece of tailoring.
She was as beautiful as he remembered, even more so now, in the harsh, fluorescent lights of the parking lot.
She looked as though she had been sculpted by a god, a living, breathing work of art.
Danny whistled, a long, low sound of pure awe. "Damn, dude," he whispered, his voice a mix of envy and admiration. "A woman like that, she could have any guy she wanted."
Constance must have heard him. Her emerald eyes, sharp and knowing, found Brian in the crowd. She walked straight to him, her movements fluid and graceful, a panther on the hunt. She reached him, and without a word, she leaned in and kissed him on the lips.
It was a soft kiss, but it was confident, a gentle claim that left Brian's mind reeling. He tasted something sweet, like cinnamon and rose.
"Come with me," she whispered, her fingers wrapping around the front of his faded t-shirt, a gentle but firm pull.
Brian’s lunchbox slipped from his stunned fingers, landing on the cracked asphalt with a soft thud.
He didn’t care. His mind was a blur. The woman who represented a life he had rejected was here, and she was pulling him into a world he had walked away from.
He didn't know what was happening, but he knew one thing for certain: his life was about to be turned upside down.
Once inside the limousine, a deafening silence fell over Brian.
He stared at the lush leather interior, the sleek, impossibly clean windows, the faint, exotic scent of wood and perfume.
This was not his world. This was a place where a person's net worth was measured in billions, not in the hours they put in on a factory floor.
He found his voice, a little shaky but determined.
“What the hell was that about?” he asked, looking at Constance.
She gave him a confident, almost predatory smirk as the limousine started to glide forward. “That, boss, was about setting your dominance over them,” she said.
The word "boss" hit him like a punch to the gut. “Boss… I never signed the contract,” he said, the surrealness of it all washing over him.
She nodded, her expression unbothered. “No, you did not. But now your name is all over the news. And the fact that you were a decent man, that you walked away from the fortune because you believed you already had everything you needed… that’s what sealed it. Mrs. Dranning wanted no one else.”
Brian sighed, the air leaving his lungs in a rush. “I walked away,” he repeated, the words tasting like ash in his mouth.
Constance’s voice softened, becoming a low, sensual purr that seemed to wrap around him. “Sit back and relax. It's a four-hour drive.”
He had so many questions, so many fears. “What about my job? My apartment? My car?” he asked, his voice laced with a panicked urgency. The life he had known, the life he had chosen, felt like it was slipping through his fingers.
She reached out and placed a hand on his thigh, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through him. “Brian, you have a net worth of over two hundred billion dollars. Those are small problems.” Her fingers began to glide slowly up his leg, her touch intimate and deliberate.
“I don’t understand,” he said, his mind racing. “Shouldn't Mrs. Dranning own this after her husband died?”
“Normally, she would,” Constance said, her voice a low murmur. “But Mrs. Dranning… she is not like others. Neither is any of Mr. Dranning’s lovers.”
Brian’s mind reeled. It was still a weird idea that Ty Dranning had not only married a stunning woman but had also openly had three lovers. It was even stranger that he had never had any kids.
“How old was he?” Brian asked, the question coming out of nowhere, a desperate attempt to grasp some kind of fact in the swirling chaos.
Constance sighed, a soft, weary sound. “He took over the company from his father when he was just nineteen years old. And sadly, he only made it to thirty-six.”
Brian nodded. He hadn't been very old at all. Constance’s hand glided a little higher on his thigh, her fingers tracing a slow, sensual path. “Brian,” she whispered, her voice a low, husky purr, “I am yours to do with what you want… after you sign the contract.”
Her hand moved to his belt, and the buckle clicked open.
The zipper followed, a soft, seductive rasp.
Her hand slipped inside his jeans, finding his now-hardening cock.
She pulled it out, her touch confident and knowing, a gentle, tantalizing caress.
Brian’s breath hitched. She dropped to her knees before him in the limousine, her eyes, those beautiful, mischievous emeralds, never leaving his.
He was stunned, his mind a blank slate, the very concept of her kneeling before him in such a way a complete and utter fantasy made real.
She took him into her mouth, and a long, low moan escaped Brian's lips.
The sensation was electric, a rush of pleasure that eclipsed all of his fears and his confusion.
It was pure bliss, a moment of perfect, animalistic pleasure that transcended all logic.
He closed his eyes, his head leaning back against the seat, and gave himself over to the moment.
He had no idea where he was going, or what the future held, but for now, he was content to be exactly where he was, with her.
Constance worked him slowly, deliberately, her mouth a perfect, sensual glove.
He was twenty-four, and in his entire life, he had never been with a woman half as beautiful as Constance, nor had he received a fraction of the pleasure she was giving him now.
Her lips, soft and supple, slid up and down his cock, a rhythm that was both leisurely and expertly paced.
Her tongue, a darting, delicate instrument, traced the veins that stood out against his skin, a small, knowing caress that sent shivers of pure sensation through him.
