Chapter 9.

"Mr. Thomson… I suggest you do not make this a game as Mr. Dranning did. If, God forbid, something happens to you, the company will again stand without ownership for over a month." Mr. Willstadder’s voice was a low, somber tone that echoed with the weight of recent history.

Brian sat behind his desk, now a man of immense power, but still just a man.

He nodded, the lawyer’s words a stark reminder of his mortality.

By the door, Dani stood as a silent, formidable guardian.

She was watching him, her gray eyes a perfect mirror of his own serious expression.

She was not just a security guard; she was studying him, getting to know the man she was now paid to protect, learning his rhythms, his expressions, the subtle tells of his emotions.

Holly and Constance sat on the chairs to the side, their presence a comforting anchor in the whirlwind of his new life.

"Mr. Willstadder," Brian said, his voice a calm, even tone. "I have no children, no wife. What do you suggest?"

"Honestly," the lawyer said, "you choose one of your assistants. You've already made them your inner circle."

Brian smirked. "I could do that. I do trust both of them with my life." He glanced at the two women. Both of them shook their heads, a silent, mutual protest.

"Here is what you do," Brian said, a new idea taking shape in his mind. "You draw up the paperwork, but leave the name blank. Give me some time to think about it. In one week, I will have a name for you to add."

Mr. Willstadder nodded. "As you wish, Mr. Thomson." He stood and shook Brian's hand, his grip a firm, final gesture. Then he left and closed the door behind him.

Brian looked at Holly and Constance, a flicker of confusion in his eyes. "What was that about?"

They both smiled, a quiet, knowing expression that was so familiar to him now. "We are not heirs to the fortune," Constance said, her voice a soft, gentle whisper.

"We are your assistants. And should something happen… and it better not," Holly said, her voice firm. She walked over and kissed him, a soft, loving touch. "We will be without a job, or assigned to the new owner." Constance nodded, a solemn, quiet agreement.

Brian smirked. The thought of someone else having the two women, of them being at the mercy of a new master, bothered him in a way he couldn’t articulate. He had claimed them as his own, not in a legal sense, but in a way that was far more profound.

"Miss Kano," Brian said, his voice a low, commanding tone.

Dani looked up, her face a mask of professional neutrality, but a flicker of something, a hint of a smile, played at the corners of her lips. "Yes, Mr. Thomson."

"What are your thoughts on this?" he asked.

She stepped forward, her movements a fluid, graceful dance.

"I believe the girls are right in some aspects of this.

In naming them heirs, and something happening to you, they would be prime suspects of the murder or 'accident' you might have, having the motive of being the future of the fortune.

" Her words were a cold, hard dose of reality, a reminder that his new world, for all its pleasures, was also a dangerous one.

"But the fact that both of them deny to wanting to be heirs makes them even more right to actually be the heirs.

They have absolutely no desire to see you hurt or dead.

" Dani’s professional smile never left her face.

Brian smiled. She was not just fucking beautiful; she was smart, observant, and as honest as a judge.

"Having the lawyer write up the papers and giving yourself time to find an heir or come up with a name was a smart move," she added.

"But I would not wait longer than the week you gave him.

After all, should something happen before there is a name on that paper, the old will steps in, and another contest will be set up. "

Both Holly and Constance nodded, a silent, knowing agreement.

Brian sat back in his chair, his thoughts all over the place.

In his life, he had known very few people.

Those he worked with were the only ones he actually spoke to.

He had to come up with something, a name, a person, a legacy, for a fortune that was a thousand times bigger than his wildest dreams. The weight of it was a heavy, daunting presence, a new kind of responsibility that was a world away from the simple pleasures of his old life.

---

Brian was still working through the stacks of company papers when a knock on the door broke his concentration.

Dani, his personal shadow, opened it and let in a woman who was the very definition of a fantasy.

The maid was holding a tray, her breasts on full display in a sparkly, form-fitting uniform.

"Mr. Thomson, you missed dinner," she said, her voice a soft, polite murmur as she walked over to the desk and placed the tray beside his papers.

He looked up and smiled, the sight of her a welcome distraction. "Thank you," he said.

"Penny," she whispered, offering her name.

"Thank you, Penny," he said, and his gaze fell to the wonderful-smelling meal. "What are we having?"

Penny's smile widened. "Roasted duck, pan-fried potatoes, and mushroom gravy."

He took a bite of the potatoes, and a low groan of pleasure escaped his lips. They were cooked to perfection. "Please thank Dominique," he whispered.

Penny smiled and bowed her head. She was standing so close he could have reached out and touched her, the temptation a powerful, silent hum in the air.

Her uniform was a clear invitation, and he had to fight the urge to reach out and feel her ass, to see if the offer was as real as it seemed.

It was a bewildering thought. These women were dressed to be admired, to be desired, but he wasn't sure if they were also there to be used.

Still, every woman around him seemed to want to be in his bed, even Dani.

He had caught her looking at him that way a few times, a flicker of something in her storm-gray eyes that was a world away from her professional facade.

"If you need anything, Boss, please don't hesitate to call," Penny said. He nodded as she turned and walked out, his eyes enjoying the brief glance of her tight, perfect backside. He smirked, the thought of his new life, his new reality, a constant source of surprise.

"Mr. Thomson, if you don't mind me asking…" Dani's voice was a cool, professional counterpoint to his thoughts. He looked up at her. Right now, Constance and Holly were downstairs going over security with Gloria, so it was just the two of them. He nodded. "Ask away."

"It might be none of my business, but I feel like I need to know," she began, her tone formal and serious. "How many girls are sharing your bed?"

Brian smirked, a playful glint in his eyes. "Right now?" he asked. She nodded. "Four."

"Just so I know they are on your list of approved girls, they are?" she asked.

He looked at her, a quiet, knowing look on his face. "Holly, Constance, and Dominique." She nodded. She knew them, knew their history with the Dranning Corporation, knew their fierce loyalty to him. "And the last one?" she asked, her voice a little softer, a little more curious.

"Mrs. Dranning," he said, a look of pure, unadulterated pleasure on his face.

Her eyes widened, a look of genuine surprise on her face. She could see he wasn't messing with her. "Anita Dranning?" she asked.

He nodded. "She was actually the first."

She nodded. "Unexpected, but I see." She had a million questions, a thousand things she wanted to know, but she kept them to herself. "What about you?" he asked, turning the conversation back to her. "Married? Engaged?"

She shook her head, a small, weary smile on her lips. "No, sir. I have not actually had time to find someone. Always been working too much, and Father is not the easy type to accept a boyfriend."

Brian smirked. "I can see that. Head of a large security firm. His daughter is off-limits. And I guess the men who work for him know this."

She smiled and nodded. "One tried to date Gloria once. He left with a black eye from her when he grabbed her ass, and a gun to the head, almost executed for touching his daughter, from Dad."

Brian chuckled, a low, easy sound. "Well, I will retract my former comment," he said.

She looked at him and smirked. "You are not allowed to join me in the bedroom. While I would like for it, I do prefer not to be killed by a protective father."

"Would it help if I said Gloria was only seventeen at the time?" she asked.

Brian shook his head. "Not really. Two daughters. He will be very protective. And I am sure what I am doing here with more than one girl, it will come out. And your father will not be appreciating it if I was to... let's say, indulge in his daughter."

She smirked, a dangerous, thrilling glint in her eyes. "Four, sir. He has four daughters," she corrected him.

Brian's heart hammered in his chest. Gloria was fucking stunning. Dani was a goddess. He could only imagine what the other two looked like. "Yeah, I think I will stay safe on this one," he said.

She smiled, her hand coming up to rest on his chest. "And what if I was to want this?" she whispered, her voice a low, sensual purr.

He looked into her eyes, and a wave of pure, unadulterated desire washed over him. "Miss Kano," he whispered.

She smirked, her hand leaving his chest, the warmth of her touch a lingering ghost. "Just testing, sir," she said.

She walked back to the door, but the smirk on her lips did not leave.

In her mind, she wanted him to do it right there on the desk.

It had been three years since she had last had a cock, and God, she needed it. Rules be damned.
