Chapter 21 Plans & Text Messages
Plans & Text Messages
Hayes
After eating Liv’s pussy for lunch, I got a text from Parker to meet him on the outer ice rink. So I kissed her goodbye and walked her to the doors of the school seeing that she got inside safely then went to meet up with my boy.
“Yo, what’s good?” I yell out as I approach him. He spins on me with a frantic look on his face.
“Between the bullshit in the tombs, that prick Buckman and Syd disappearing, I don’t know how much longer I can keep it together.
” He says and I take a deep breath. He’s right.
There’s so much going on at once that it feels like, ever since we came back last week from the retreat, it’s been a downward spiral.
“I know man, we need to get off campus or something so we can speak freely. I don’t know where it is safe.
” I say and he takes out a small black wand from his pocket waving it around the area.
“What the hell is that?” I ask and he brings his finger to his mouth to shut me up.
I roll my eyes and follow while he scans the perimeter of the rink.
Once he’s finished he looks at me and nods.
“It’s clear here,” he says.
“How the fuck do we get out of this? I never wanted to be apart of the cult and I sure as fuck am not doing anything they asked.” I tell him and he nods.
“Exactly, but how? How the fuck can we leave?” he asks and I smile.
“We run,” I answer simply but before I can even finish speaking he’s already shaking his head.
“What happened the last time someone ran?” he states, raising a brow, reminding me that my brother tried this once before and failed.
“That’s because he was running for the wrong reasons and when they caught him he let his emotions get the best of him.
He should’ve let them put the target over my head.
Vivvy told me the only reason he came back was because of me.
I was the little bread crumb dangled over his head.
If he was smart he would’ve told them to kick rocks.
The fact that he showed how much he cared was the nail in his coffin.
They knew. They fucking knew how to get him back.
” I say and Parker’s eyes widen at that revelation.
“Wow, I didn’t know all that but what would you do differently?” he asks and I look around making sure no one is around before I speak. We don’t need prying eyes or nosey people listening to my plan.
“First, I’d ask your girl for a connection to the underground.
I know she has connections and I’d pay top dollar for a new identity.
Then I’d drain the bank account and blame it on fraud.
Last but not least. I’d dump the car in the river and buy a new one with cash.
I’d also fill up numerous cans of gasoline, so I wouldn’t have to stop at a gas station for a while.
No paper trail. No camera trail. Just completely disappear.
I know exactly where I’d go and I’d still play hockey.
The only difference is–Liv.” I divulge and he takes his hand rubbing them over his face.
“Is she what is stopping you from leaving? Or what if she never arrived. Would you still leave or would you go through with initiation?” he asks and that’s a damn good question.
I’ve never wanted this. My father and brother both knew that but I’ve never had feelings for a girl.
I always just fuck 'em and dump 'em. Nothing more, nothing less.
“That’s hard to answer. You know this isn’t the life I’d choose.
I want to go pro with hockey and never look back.
Liv arriving and taking a liking to her, does throw a wrench into things but how can I be sure she’s worth fighting for?
Her fucking boyfriend is here! She lied and still hasn’t told me what she did that got her landed here.
There’s still so much mystery behind her.
Can I even trust her?” I ramble and take a deep breath because as much as I like Liv, I’m still not sure.
I don’t trust people and her coming here during Valentine week and being everything I could ever want in a partner seems awfully convenient.
“I agree, there’s a lot of the unknown. I guess we have some time to figure it out but I don’t know Hayes.
My mind is whirling with shit. Especially with how Syd left the other night after seeing my father.
I’m still not any closer to the truth, than I was when she freaked out and stormed out of my room. ” He says, leaning against the fence.
“How deep are the girls within the divine? Are we missing something that is right in our faces?” I ask and he shakes his head and shrugs.
“I don’t know man, but something isn’t adding up. We still don’t know what Lucius ratted on that cost him his life. And the fucked up part is we will never know. Not until we are on the inside.” he says and I shake my head.
“Do we stay and get through initiation so we can get the info we need to shut this shit down or, at least deep enough where we can find a loop hole to get us out of it all or do we say fuck it and plan more to leave?” I ask, raising a brow.
“I need time to think.” He grunts as the bell blares in the distance.
“Alright man, we still have some time. Let’s just get through the damn day and when you’re ready we can discuss this at a later date,” I reassure him and he nods.
“Syd’s seriously got me all fucked up. She won’t take any of my calls.” he says and I laugh.
“Ice queen at her finest. Come on. Give her some time. She will come around.” I tell him as we walk towards the building.
“I don’t have time to give. I was finally getting somewhere with her and boom.
My father ruins it all.” he says and I laugh again.
He’s right. Our fathers literally ruin everything but those pricks can stick their dicks in everything and anything without a soul batting an eye at them. It’s fucking bullshit.
“Agreed.” I say, opening the door and letting him in first. We walk down the hall and meet up with the rest of the team. We have another few periods left for the day then practice. I can’t wait to have Liv’s mouth wrapped around my cock, while I gag her to death.
After practice, I shower and head back to my room, get some school work done and wait for Liv.
I’m excited as fuck that we have no classes or practice tomorrow and I plan on spending the day with Liv, making her cum until she physically can’t—then I want to take her out to dinner.
Reaching on the bed for my phone I shoot her a text.
I’m impatient as fuck and want her here already.
I really do have it bad for this girl and we need to talk about the future.
Me:
Little Liar…
Liv:
Hayzie?
I grit my teeth seeing that damn nickname. She doesn’t understand what the nickname does to me and what memories it brings up. Maybe tonight I’ll tell her besides It makes me sound like a baby back bitch.
Me:
Where you at?
Liv:
Catching up with Kendall.
Me:
When are you coming over?
Liv:
I’ll be there soon.
Me:
Good, make sure you drink some cold water. Get that throat prepped for the pounding its going to receive.
Liv:
Awwe so romantic.
Rolling my eyes, I place the phone back on the bed and continue studying.
Hours go by and she still hasn’t shown up.
I yawn and stretch my limbs then grab my phone and call her.
Bringing the phone to my ear it rings and rings then goes to voicemail.
I dial again and…same thing. Getting up from my bed I throw a hoodie on and leave my room and head to hers.
The halls are completely silent as I walk to the girls wing.
Passing the cafeteria I see a few people sitting around since we can’t go outside.
Little does anyone realize that the man they are looking for, is right under their noses.
Shaking my head I get to her room and bang on the door, taking out my phone I look at the camera and see she hasn’t been there since this morning.
Fuck! I swear to god she better not be with fucking pickle face.
I take a deep breath as my heart and mind play a wicked game against one another. Can I really trust her?
Walking back down near the cafeteria, I look outside at the bridge.
Maybe she’s on her way from the sorority house.
I take my phone out of my pocket and hit her number again as ringing in my ear echoes around me.
What the fuck? I remove the phone from my ear trying to catch the ringing in the distance.
I step back down the hall and it stops. I dial her again, stepping further away from the door but the ringing that echoes is faint and the further I walk the more it quiets.
Is it coming from outside? Dialing yet again, I hear it get louder the closer I get to the exit.
I swing it open and see the light flashing from her screen halfway to the bridge laying in the snow.
Running towards it, I check my surroundings as I pick her phone up and silence it.
I close my eyes and listen but all I hear is the wind whirling, the owls hooting and footsteps crunching through the snow in the distance.
Opening my eyes, I spin and head for the maze, trying to be silent as I walk quickly.
Letting my vision adjust to the darkness, I try to track the footsteps in the snow, but there are too many and they go in all different directions. What the fuck?
Suddenly my phone vibrates in my hand and I open the screen and growl seeing who it is from. Swiping to open I read the text and narrow my eyes.
Father:
You’ve been summoned to the tombs. You have ten minutes to get here.
Me:
Yes, sir.
This is not what I had in mind. My girl is lost somewhere and now I’m being summoned to the tombs. What could they possibly want from me now?
