Chapter 18
Chapter Eighteen
Samantha
The look on his face was like a kid on Christmas morning. Fuck. I was already falling for his rich ass and could feel my heart already breaking. I didn’t trust men right now. Trusting them was too exhausting, and I was already tired enough.
Linda walked over and set our bill on the table. Wes immediately grabbed it and handed Linda his credit card.
“You have to pay at the register, rich man,” she said.
“I call him, Mr. Monopoly.” I grinned.
“Oh, I like that.” Linda smiled. “And we don’t accept American Express.” She looked at Wes.
“Okay then. I’ll pay cash.”
We stood from the booth and walked up to the register. Wes pulled out his wallet and handed the cashier some cash. Then he handed me a $20 bill.
“Can you leave that on the table for Linda?” he asked.
“She’ll be pleased.” I walked over to where we sat and set the twenty down.
The second we stepped out of the diner, a man with a camera snapped our picture.
“How was the food?” he asked Wes.
“It was delicious. And yes, you can print that statement,” he said. “Come on, Sam.” He grabbed hold of my hand.
We walked down the street, and as we turned the corner, Wes pushed me up against a building and smashed his mouth against mine.
“Sam?” I heard my name.
“Devon.” My eyes widened as I broke our kiss.
“Why are you kissing Mr. Darcy?”
Wes snickered. “Hello, Devon. It’s nice to see you again.”
“Yeah. You too,” he said. “We are so talking about this tomorrow in class.” He laughed.
“No, we are not!” I shouted as he walked away.
He raised his hand for a wave, and I could hear him laughing all the way down the street.
“Oh, my God.” I placed my hand on my forehead.
“It’s not that serious, Sam,” Wes said.
I stared at him for a moment, my lips still trembling from the kiss we shared, and my mind reeling with thoughts of the other night. I wanted him. I wanted to get lost in him and forget about the world for a couple of hours.
“Take me back to your place.” I looked up at Wes.
“Nothing would give me more pleasure.” He grinned, stroking my cheek.
“I only have a couple of hours. I have to get home.”
“I can work with that.” He hooked his arm around me, and we headed to his car.
“Ah,” I moaned as his mouth explored me.
My fingers tightly gripped the sheets as an orgasm tore through me.
Wes made his way back up to my lips and softly kissed them as he thrust inside me, my body welcoming him in every way possible.
His fingers interlocked with mine as he raised my arms over my head, thrusting in and out, and hitting all the right spots.
He let go of my hands and rolled on his back, bringing me on top of him.
I moved back and forth as his hands fondled my breasts.
“You are so fucking beautiful,” he moaned. “I could do this all night with you.”
“You make me feel so good,” I moaned.
“You deserve to feel good.”
His grip on my hips tightened as I rode him, and the pleasure between us intensified until neither of us could hold back any longer.
“Sam,” he groaned as he threw his head back, while waves of pleasure swept through us.
My body dropped on his, while his arms tightly wrapped around me. My heart rate was out of control, as was our breathing. I pressed my lips against the side of his neck before rolling off him and onto the bed.
“Damn.” He grinned.
My lips formed a smile at the man who had totally undone me once again.
“As much as I want to stay, I can’t,” I said, running my finger down his arm.
“I know.” His fingers swept through my hair. “Let’s get dressed, and I’ll take you home.”
When we reached my building, Wes pulled out his phone and looked at me.
“We’ve had sex twice now, and I don’t even have your phone number.”
I rattled it off as he entered it into his phone. Within seconds, my phone pinged.
“Now you have mine.”
He climbed out of the car and extended his hand. I placed mine in his, and he helped me out like he always did.
“Goodnight, Sam.” His hands gripped my hips while his lips met mine.
“Goodnight, Wes.” I smiled.
As I walked to the building door, I heard him shout, “Good luck with your students tomorrow.”
“Gee, thanks. I’m sure it’s going to be one hell of a day.”
I stepped inside my apartment, set my purse down, and fell onto the couch. Zoey emerged from her bedroom in her sweatpants and tank top and sat down next to me.
“You had sex again, didn’t you?”
“He loved the patty melt.”
“What?” She laughed.
I glanced at her. “He’d never had a patty melt. Hell, he didn’t even know what it was, but he ordered it and loved it.”
“So, you made him eat poor people’s food?” Zoey smirked.
“Stop it.” I smiled, lightly smacking her arm. “I’m in trouble, Zoe.”
“Why?”
“I’m falling for him, and it’s your fault.”
“My fault?” She pressed her finger into her chest and laughed.
“You’re the one who signed me up for that blind date auction.”
“You could have done worse. I’m going to bed. Goodnight.” She jumped up from the couch.
“Night, baby.”
I went into the bathroom, took off my makeup, changed into my nightshirt, and climbed into bed. My body trembled just thinking about him. I didn’t know what would happen with us, and I was afraid to think about it.
