Chapter 9
AUbrEY
Canyon pulled up in front of my apartment right on time for our third date. And he started it with a fantastic surprise.
“We’re going to ride to the beach tonight.”
I took the helmet from him with a grin. “You won’t get any complaints from me.”
“Good, but I am gonna get a kiss.”
That was all the encouragement I needed to lean in. He took control from there, stealing my breath in yet another kiss that left me feeling breathless.
He helped me fasten the helmet and get settled on the bike. As I wrapped my arms around his waist and pressed against his back, that familiar solid heat of his body grounded me. When the engine roared to life, we pulled out onto the road and headed down the coast.
The ride was beautiful. The ocean air whipped around us while the fading sunlight painted the sky in soft oranges and pinks.
I loved the steady vibration of the bike beneath us and the way Canyon felt so strong in front of me.
Every now and then, he would drop one hand to squeeze my thigh or brush across my knee, like he needed the contact as much as I did.
I smiled against his back, overwhelmingly happy in a way I hadn’t experienced in a long time. Riding with Canyon made me feel like I was exactly where I was meant to be.
As we neared the coastline, he pulled off the road and parked outside a small market with a weathered sign. “Gotta pick up some supplies.”
I followed him inside, wondering what he was up to when he handed me a couple of bottles of cold drinks as I trailed him. “You’re being awfully bossy again.”
He glanced over at me with a quick grin, his bright blue eyes amused. “You complaining, sunshine?”
“Just making observations,” I teased, bumping my shoulder against his arm. “ You like being in charge, don’t you?”
He added a couple of steaks to the basket he was carrying. “When it comes to taking care of you? Yeah, I do.”
The words were simple, but I was coming to understand how much he meant them.
We moved through the market together easily, picking out a few more ingredients that made me think he planned to grill for me.
“Why do I have the feeling you’ve got something up your sleeve?”
He winked at me with a grin, tapping the black ink on his left forearm. “Only thing up there are tattoos, sunshine.”
We kept bantering as we paid and headed back outside. When he put our stuff in the saddle bag and we climbed on the bike, the emotional pull between us felt even stronger. And the physical one had deepened, too.
We rode a little farther down the coast before Canyon turned onto a private driveway that led to a beautiful house right on the beach. When we parked and I climbed off the bike, I took in the place with quiet awe.
The house had dark wood beams and huge windows that faced the ocean, promising incredible views during the day.
When we got inside, I noticed that the place was clearly lived in, but there was also a sense that he didn’t spend much time here.
It felt like him, but it was completely clean, and there weren’t that many personal touches scattered around.
I set the drinks down on the kitchen island and continued looking around while he put a few things away. “This your house?”
He nodded, leaning against the counter. “Yeah. I spend most nights at the clubhouse, but this is technically where I live. I just haven’t had much reason to actually be here. Not until you.”
I glanced around again, imagining what it would feel like to belong here with him.
To wake up in this house, make coffee in this kitchen, and watch the ocean with him.
The thought made those butterflies swirl again because it was so easy to picture even though it was definitely too soon to be thinking like that.
But with Canyon, everything seemed to move at warp speed.
As we made dinner, the tension between us kept building. Every time our hands brushed while reaching for something or I caught him watching me, the air felt a little thicker.
When the steaks were done, we sat at a table on the deck overlooking the water. Even while we enjoyed our meal, the pull between us grew stronger. Canyon’s gaze stayed on me almost constantly, and I felt a restless kind of energy building beneath my skin.
After we finished eating, I wandered barefoot into the kitchen while Canyon started cleaning up. I picked at the container of strawberries he’d grabbed, stealing a few sweet bites as I listened to the quiet rhythm of the ocean waves drifting in through the open windows.
A drop of juice dripped down my chin, and Canyon shoved the dishes in the sink to stride over to me.
“Done holding back,” he growled as his hand slid around my waist so he could turn me to face him. Then his mouth was on mine in a kiss so intense it stole the air from my lungs.
He backed me against the counter, his strong body pressing into mine. I melted into him completely, kissing him back just as desperately. My arms wrapped around his neck, and my fingers threaded through his dark hair as I gave myself over to the heat between us.
I had never been kissed like this. Every possessive pull of his hands told me I was his. And I wanted nothing more than to be exactly that.
Canyon pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against mine. His breathing was rough, his bright blue eyes dark with need. “I should tell you this is your last chance to back out, but I don’t think I have the strength to let you go, sunshine.”
I looked up at him, a playful smile tugging at my lips despite how badly I wanted him. “Then don’t.”
That was all it took for the fire to ignite between us.
Canyon lifted me, my legs wrapping around his waist as he carried me toward the bedroom, our mouths fused.
He kicked the door open and lowered me onto his bed, following me down with an intense focus that made me feel like the only woman in the world.
“Want you so damn much.”
I twined my arms around his neck. “Yeah, because you made us wait.”
His gaze drifted over me, his blue eyes darkening with need. “You’re fucking worth it.”
He claimed my mouth in another deep kiss, only lifting his head when I tugged at the hem of his shirt. He stripped it off, and my breath caught at the sight of him. His chest was broad and muscular, with a tattoo of a speedometer, tire, and other motorcycle stuff on his right pec.
I traced my fingers over the black ink, and he pressed my palm flat. “Like it?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Good.” He brushed his lips over mine again. “’Cause I want your sunshine inked on me too.”
“Canyon,” I whispered, awed by his words as even more heat rushed through my entire body.
“I know, baby. I’ve got you.”
He took his time undressing me, his hands gentle as he peeled away every piece of clothing. When I was completely bare beneath him, he sat back on his heels and stared. “Fucking hell, Aubrey. You’re perfect.”
“So are you.”
Masculine satisfaction flared in his eyes, then he settled between my legs, his broad shoulders holding me open. “And I bet you taste even better than you look.”
The first slow lick of his tongue against my center made me gasp and arch off the mattress.
Canyon groaned like I was the best thing he’d ever tasted and took his time, licking and sucking until I was trembling and whimpering beneath him.
Every stroke of his tongue made me feel like I was about to fly apart.
When he slid one thick finger inside me, then another, stretching me carefully, I cried out at the overwhelming pleasure. “Yes! Oh yes!”
“That’s my good girl.” He looked up at me. “Gotta be sure you can take my big dick.”
I dug my nails into his shoulders, and he got back to working me up until he finally curled his fingers just right while his mouth focused on my clit until I shattered hard, gasping his name. “Canyon!”
He crawled up my body and kissed me deeply, letting me taste myself on his tongue. Then he got to his knees to shove his jeans and boxer briefs down his powerful thighs, lifting up to kick them over the side of the bed.
Once that was done, he positioned himself between my thighs, the thick head of his dick pressing against my entrance. He was so big that a flicker of nerves hit me.
He must have felt it because he cupped my face, looking straight into my eyes. “I’ve got you, sunshine. Just breathe.”
“I know, but…ummm.” I squeezed my eyes shut and blurted, “I’ve never done this before.”
The muscles in his arms bunch as he stilled above me. “You tryin’ to tell me you’re a virgin, baby?”
“Yeah,” I whispered, opening my eyes so I could see if he was mad. But I only found fierce joy in his deep blue eyes.
“Thank you for saving this sweet pussy for me.” He kissed each of my cheeks, then the tip of my nose, and finally my mouth. “Promise I’ll make it worth the wait.”
Then he pushed forward slowly, stretching me inch by inch. There was a sharp sting as he broke through my virginity, but he kissed me through it, murmuring soft praises against my lips until the pain faded and only fullness remained.
“You feel so fucking good,” he groaned, staying still inside me while I adjusted. “So damn tight and wet.”
When I started moving my hips, silently asking for more, Canyon began to thrust. Slow and deep at first, then gradually harder. I wrapped my legs around him, clinging to his back as pleasure built again.
“That’s it, sunshine. Let me feel that perfect pussy squeeze my cock.”
“So close,” I panted.
“Give it to me,” he demanded. “Wanna feel you milk the come from my dick.”
I briefly thought about the fact that he’d be coming inside me bare since there was nothing between us, but I was too lost in the moment to focus on anything but Canyon and the passion burning between us.
“Yes! Canyon, yes!” I cried, clenching hard around him.
“That’s it. Come for me. Now.”
He circled his hips, hitting a sensitive spot and sending me even higher until stars burst behind my eyelids. But that wasn’t enough for him. He kept going, giving me more pleasure than I thought was possible.
“Gonna fuck my baby into you, sunshine,” he growled, nipping the pulse point at the base of my neck with his teeth. “You’ll look so damn pretty.”
Apparently, his particular dirty talk was my weakness. I loved how he made me feel treasured while he was taking me apart.
My pussy clamped down hard around him, and he followed with a groan, burying himself as deep as he could go.
Afterward, he held me close, his big body wrapped around mine as we both caught our breath. Those orgasms had worn me out, and I could barely keep my eyes open. Each kiss he pressed to my hair and shoulder had them drifting shut, until I finally gave in to my well-earned exhaustion.
