Chapter 29
“Mr. Raul, Elaine is here for your meeting.”
Raul looked up from the document he was reviewing at Gloria’s announcement.
His mayordoma stood in the open doorway of his home office.
He’d elected to work from home for the first part of the night so that the meeting with Elaine could take place without Ji-Su having to give up his streaming time to go in to the casino.
“Good. She’s punctual as always.”
“Would you like me to go and get Ji-Su?”
He shook his head and rose from his desk. “No, I’ll do it. Show her in and tell her we’ll be with her in a few minutes.”
Raul left the office and sped through the mansion until he reached the door to Ji-Su’s gaming room. After silently slipping inside the dim room, lit only with softly glowing LED lights, he waited patiently as Ji-Su played until he reached a point in the game where he could pause for a moment.
Ji-Su turned to him, a small smile on his face.
“Hey. Is it time for our meeting?”
“Just about. Elaine is a few minutes early. Are you still good to attend?”
“Yep. I’ve got about five minutes left in this stream then I’ll be ready.”
“Mind if I watch?”
Ji-Su’s smile widened. “I’d love if you stayed to watch.”
While Ji-Su turned back to his game, Raul went and took a seat in one of the extra gaming chairs.
As he watched, he was impressed at the way Ji-Su managed to stay focused on the game play at the same time he made frequent checks to read and respond to the comments flashing by at lightning speed in the chat window.
He was clearly comfortable multi-tasking, his voice relaxed and bright whenever he spoke.
Raul knew enough by now to recognize that Ji-Su was playing a stealth action game.
He moved through the shadows, evading the figure on screen trying to capture him, while low but intense music played in the background.
The music suddenly ramped up in volume. Ji-Su grabbed a briefcase and slipped out of an open window.
The music changed again and a congratulations message popped up on the screen.
Once Ji-Su cleared the level, he threw his arms up in victory.
And then came that adorable voice that Raul remembered from their trip to the electronics store.
Everything about Ji-Su turned him on, so it was no surprise his cock started to harden listening to his high, soft voice and watching him cutely wave and giggle at the web cam.
“I won and beat my own high score. My visitor today must have given me good luck,” Ji-Su said with a cheeky wink at Raul.
Since he was sitting off camera Ji-Su’s audience couldn’t see him. But he could see the comments that popped up at the mention of a visitor.
Is the visitor your blood patron?
Can we see him today?
I’m still waiting find out if he has a single brother.
Ji-Su shook his head to answer the last question.
“Not today, guys. We have an appointment to get to. It’s for a surprise I’m working on that I think you all will like.
I’ll tell you more about it as soon as I can.
See you next time!” Then, with a final goodbye to his followers, Ji-Su ended the stream.
“Ready?” he asked as he took off his headphones.
Raul nodded and rose from his seat.
Ji-Su got up from his gaming chair and headed from the room completely unaware of the way he’d so easily turned Raul on. After taking a moment to adjust himself in his pants, Raul followed after him.
JI-SU WALKED INTO RAUL’S spacious office with Raul just behind him.
A woman was there already. She studied the recent addition to the decor, a large oil painting of Ace, Raul’s favorite stallion while she waited.
She was average height, with a full figure, and long, wavy blonde hair dyed pink on the tips.
She wore a fashionable brown tweed suit with geometric leather inserts on the skirt and jacket.
When she turned to face him, Ji-Su wondered if she was human or vampire.
Most of Raul’s associates he’d met so far had been vampire, but her skin didn’t have that tell-tale golden vampire glow.
“Ji-Su, this is Elaine, the event planner for the Grand Colorado Casino.”
“Hello, Elaine. It’s nice to meet you,” Ji-Su politely greeted her.
Elaine smiled, revealing pearly white teeth sans fangs. She was human.
“It’s nice to meet you as well.” She looked back at the painting. “Gorgeous painting of a gorgeous horse.”
“Thank you,” Raul said with a proud smile.
“Do you ride, Ji-Su?” Elaine asked.
Ji-Su shook his head. “Only in video games.”
“That’s fair,” Elaine said with a laugh. “I hear you gave Mr. Raul the fantastic idea of hosting a video game tournament at our casino.”
“I may have inspired him but the idea was Raul’s,” Ji-Su bashfully protested.
“He’s being modest,” Raul said. “I would never have considered the idea if he didn’t share his passion and knowledge about gaming with me.”
“It’s a fantastic idea. A tournament like this can bring in an entirely new demographic to our casino. Let’s pick your brains and come up with the best way to pull it off.”
Raul waved them over to the sitting area where two love seats faced each other across a petrified wood coffee table with a shiny resin coated top.
Raul sat next to Ji-Su on one love seat and Elaine settled on the other.
She pulled out a dark rose leather portfolio and gold pen.
Flipping the portfolio open to the legal pad inside, she clicked her pen and prepared to take notes.
After Ji-Su gave a brief description of how gaming tournaments usually went, they got to work discussing what they would need to host the event.
Sponsors, equipment, streaming servers, and permissions from the game companies were at the top of the list. Ji-Su also explained about entry requirements and having separate brackets for different levels.
“Prize money is no problem of course,” Raul said. “But other big-ticket prizes would also be good.”
Elaine’s pen flew across the page as she wrote everything down.
“I think you should extend an expenses paid invitation to a few of the bigger gamers,” Ji-Su suggested. “If they agree to attend, their fanbases will tune-in or attend in person to watch them play.”
“That’s smart.” Elaine added it to her list and then closed the portfolio.
“I think that’s enough to get us started.
Ji-Su, I’d love if you came by the casino to review a couple of potential locations for the tournament.
We have several that could work and I’m sure you’d have great insight on which would work best.”
“I’d be glad to come by.”
They talked for a few minutes longer before wrapping up the meeting. Elaine tucked her portfolio and pen away in her briefcase.
“I don’t suppose you have any of my favorite candies, do you, Mr. Raul?” she asked with a hopeful note as she rose to leave.
Raul chuckled and walked over to his desk to grab the candy dish sitting on the credenza behind it. “Of course. I had Gloria buy some for you when we set the meeting date.” He held the dish out to her. “Help yourself to as many as you like.”
With a happy smile, Elaine took several pieces of candy from the dish. She put all but one in her leather tote. “Thank you, Mr. Raul.”
“What are those?” Ji-Su asked.
“They’re Beny Locochas Sandia, Mexican candy.” Raul said. “Want one?”
“Sure.” He’d never heard of them but he wanted to try it. Raul held the dish out to him and Ji-Su took a piece. The red and green wrapper crinkled as he pulled it open.
“Careful, Ji-Su.” Elaine warned. “They start off sweet but the centers are spicy.”
“I like spicy,” he said before he popped the candy into his mouth.
He tasted watermelon. It was sweet. But when he made it to the center of the candy, the taste of chili powder hit his tongue.
His eyes opened wide at the change in flavor.
He’d never had candy that was sweet and spicy mixed together. It was a combination that he liked.
“What do you think?”
“It’s good.”
“Uh-oh, Mr. Raul. Looks like you’ll have to keep them in stock for Ji-Su too.”
Raul smiled and reached out to hold Ji-Su’s hand. “If that’s what he wants I’ll have a truckload shipped in tomorrow.”
Ji-Su laughed at that. “Are all vampires this over the top?” he asked Elaine.
“From what I’ve seen, yes,” she answered with a teasing wink. “I’d better get going. I have a beauty pageant organizer coming in for a walk-thru at nine.”
Raul and Ji-Su said goodbye and Gloria came to show her out. Ji-Su was about to ask Raul if he was going in to the casino when his desk phone rang.
“One moment, sweetheart.” He held onto Ji-Su with one hand and picked up the phone with the other. “This is Raul,” he said into the receiver.
“What?” he snapped out the question, eyebrows pulling down into a fierce frown.
“How did that happen?” Raul listened for several moments before he cursed in obvious annoyance.
“Fuck. We’ll have to take care of it. But hold on a moment.
” He lowered the phone to speak to Ji-Su.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart but I need to take this. I’ll probably be a while.”
Ji-Su nodded that he understood. “No worries. I’ll be upstairs. Come find me when you’re done.”
“I will.”
With sensual heat shimmering in his eyes, his big, gentle vampire raised Ji-Su’s hand to his mouth and pressed a kiss to his palm before letting him go.
Ji-Su shivered at the kiss, but he didn’t linger. Leaving Raul to his work call, he went upstairs to their bedroom.
