Chapter 16

Chapter Sixteen

Kir

Avril and I disappeared from the crowd of my family.

Somehow, I needed to change the dynamic between us and tell her she had my heart.

I’d been stupid when we first met. I’d had the idea to leave her alone, but now she was in every thought.

We stayed near the trees as everyone clapped for my brother and new sister-in-law, and then we went back to the house.

We passed staff bringing things outside as we headed toward the stairs.

I held her hand. “I’ve never been the one that disappeared.”

She smiled. “So, you’re the bad influence now.”

“That’s funny.” I felt happy at the thought.

We walked up the stairs, and she said, “I aim to please.”

I hugged her waist. “With you on my arm, I feel… lighter.”

We made it to the top step without anyone seeing us, and she said, “That’s good. With you… I’m happy we’re getting some alone time.”

I held our bedroom door open for her. “Me too. Avril, what about me do you think I can improve?”

She gazed at me quizzically as I closed the door behind us. She stepped back like she was assessing me. “I think you take things so seriously, and you hold back, and I think that it bothers you.”

I held out my hands for her to take. “You do see me very clearly. It’s sweet.”

When our palms met, she asked, “Well, what about me? Anything you can think I can improve?”

My eyes widened. There was nothing wrong with her. She had my heart. “Is that a trick question?”

She tugged me closer to her and the bed. “You started this serious conversation.”

Right. Physically, everything about her was perfect. The curve of her hips, the roundness of her body, the taste of those lips. “I think you’re so focused on holding on to what you have that you miss out on chances.”

She sucked on her bottom lip, and the gleam in her gaze warmed me. “I think we’re both taking big chances right now.”

“Absolutely.” I couldn’t wait. I needed to feel her softness against me. I lowered my head, and she lifted her chin as we both closed our eyes.

Then our lips met, and I tasted a sweetness that was better than food as it rushed into my soul. Her hands ran up my shirt buttons and blue tie. My skin tingled as our kiss ended.

Then she turned and wiggled. She directed me to her zipper. As I released her dewy skin, my heart began to race. I undid my tie. She shrugged and let her dress drop. My eyes were transfixed on her bra and glorious breasts as she helped me with my buttons.

I need to be with her now. My pants were uncomfortable as my cock grew harder. Once my shirt was off, I unbuckled my belt and slacks so I could slide my clothes off.

She gently brushed against my hard dick the second it was free. I was tense with desire as she kissed me again. This time, we fell backward onto the bed. I worshipped her naked body from the depths of my soul. I grew hungry for her and suckled on her nipples, which were hard and ready.

I wanted more from her than just her body. I grabbed a condom and swore I would win her heart. I ripped the packet open, and she helped slip it on. In her eyes, I glimpsed that she was hungry for me too. I met her gaze.

She sighed and widened her legs. I went slowly and watched her as she took every inch of me. She closed her eyes and moaned. The throaty sound rocketed through me. Her movements grew frenzied as I continued to push her to the edge.

She clutched the bed as I continued. My heart soared. I was with her, and she was mine. Her small sexy sounds drove me to the edge.

Then there was a knock on the door and my mother’s voice calling, “Kir, Avril, you’re needed downstairs.”

I wasn’t sure that was even real. I was so caught up in being with Avril. However, I kept the noises down.

Once I was sure it was quiet outside our door, I drove into her and picked up the pace. She held me and found a second release. Then I let myself go entirely and collapsed on her once I was done.

For a moment, neither of us moved. Then I rolled to hold her close. She whispered, “They know.”

I laughed and kissed her forehead. “Don’t worry about anything. Let’s just get you dressed and back to the party.”

“I trust you.”

We both stood and picked new clothes. If anyone asked, I would tell them we needed to change. But the truth was probably written all over my face.
