Chapter 48
Nate
“I fucking hate you!” Riley had screamed at me.
She doesn’t hate me though. She’s just confused. It’s that dickhead lawyer's fault. We were fine before she started working there learning all of these bad behaviors. Our families knew and loved each other. Her family adored me and we were the classic high school sweethearts everyone wished they could be.
Riley was the perfect wife, doting on me, loving me, being at my beck and call whenever she was needed. I mean, ya of course I still harbored the resentment of being forced to stay with her for the rest of my life. She made it easy though, never asking too many questions or disobeying me. She really did play the perfect part. When she pissed me off occasionally and I had to teach her a lesson here and there she would take her punishment like a good little wife until recently that is.
I check the backseat of my car one more time to make sure Riley is still passed out before climbing out of the piece of shit Honda civic I’ve owned since high school graduation. The paint is peeling and the windows are scratched, but it runs. I can’t wait to get rid of it once we move somewhere far away. I peer through the backseat window. From outside I can see Riley is peacefully sleeping under a blanket. I lick my lips knowing her sexy little body is hidden underneath, memories of the last time I had her surfacing. She was peaceful just like this, her skin so smooth and creamy, her breathing so calm. I get hard thinking of the little whimpers escaping through her lips as I sheathed my dick inside her. I know she loved every second of it. I could tell by the way her pussy contracted against my dick practically squeezing the life out of it. Fucking perfection. I can’t wait to get the fuck out of here and start our new life. I groan and adjust myself before checking the doors are locked. I pull down my ball cap and head towards the mini mart gas station when my phone rings.
“Sir?” I question.
Lockharts voice comes out smoothly. “Change of plans Nate, bring me the girl.”
“Wh-what?” I stutter “I just got all of our stuff together. We are already heading West towards Chicago like you told me to.”
Lockhart laughs “You haven’t even left Denning yet Nate, do not play me for a fool. I have eyes everywhere. Bring me the girl or I’ll have your head on a juicy platter.”
“Yes sir,” I say cringing and the line goes dead. I look back towards the car, annoyed. I can’t give her to Lockhart. We just got back together. I have plans for us and I just know she will be as excited as I am when she sees the new life we can start together. Maybe I can make another deal with him? I just need a little more time to come up with a plan before I drive her back. My head spins and I head inside the mini mart.
