Iopen my eyes and the numbers on the clock are blaring at me.
I shouldn’t still be here. The sun’s about to rise, and so is her father.

He’s right. We’ve been friends since we were kids. If there’s anyone I can trust with my life, it’s him.
“Because I’m fucking sunk, man. That girl has me in a chokehold. I don’t know how to stop it.”
“Well, you better figure it out. Because that girl may be fun and ripe, but bottom line is she’s in high school. She doesn’t know what she wants. And even if it’s you, her dad would never fucking allow it. Is it really worth risking your patch over?”
The answer is yes. Undoubtedly. But I’m not going to lose my patch or my life. No one is ever going to find out.
