22. Allen
Allen was a man of many kinks, but handing over his sweaty underwear like some treasured prize had never been one of them.
He endured the ordeal of peeling them off and tossing them into the washing machine, all while Kingston stood nearby wearing a sulky frown.
Fortunately, Allen was nothing if not clever, and a simple promise that Kingston could have them once they were clean was enough to make the disappointment vanish instantly.
He was also convinced, with very minimal effort, to let everyone join him for his bath. And while the tub in Jake’s bathroom was certainly big enough to fit multiple people, having three big men in the water with him made it feel cramped.
But the discomfort only lasted until Kingston set Allen on his lap and began to rub his shoulders, which then prompted Jake to wash his hair and massage his head, which then prompted Riley to rub his aching feet and work the knots out.
And yeah, he could get used to this.
When Riley and Kingston were with them, Allen didn’t have to worry about whether they were arguing or if they were eating enough. They were in his line of sight when they were inside the penthouse, and that greatly helped reduce his anxiety.
“I can’t believe this is happening.”
Allen’s eyes fluttered open, making sure to be mindful of the shampoo as he blinked at Riley. “Are you talking about my feet or our relationship? Please say it’s our relationship because I don’t really want to talk about foot fetishes tonight. I’m tired.”
Kingston poorly hid a snicker behind a cough, and Riley narrowed his eyes—but before they could bicker, Allen tapped his foot against Riley’s chest.
“Nope. I swear if anyone starts fighting, bath-cuddling privileges will be revoked. Behave.”
The threat was enough to make Riley instantly comply, and Allen found the submission as relieving as it was hot.
He didn’t mind the occasional argument between the rivals-turned-lovers, but his bubble bath was not the time or place.
They could save it for the bedroom, where Allen would gladly watch the two of them roll around to decide who was topping who.
“Close your eyes so I can rinse your hair,” Jake said, either unbothered or unaware of the growling happening between the boyfriends.
Allen snorted and did as he was told, quickly melting into the feeling of water being gently poured over his head until the shampoo was rinsed out.
The second he became suds-free and was blinking his eyes back open, Kingston gripped his jaw and tilted his head back, shyly touching their lips together.
Kingston continued to surprise Allen with his gentleness, but kissing was where it shone through his rough exterior the most. He was slow and sweet during the contact, taking the time to explore Allen’s mouth with his own in a respectful but teasing way while continuing to check in with the others.
The communication was perfect, even if it was silent—even if Allen wanted to beg Kingston to kiss him until he was breathless and begging for more.
But swapping boyfriends would have to wait because Allen didn’t want them to dive off the deep end without checking that they all knew how to swim. They had all the time in the world to figure out how to work together, so he knew the wait would be worth it.
“Pretty,” Jake drawled, the word catching on the edge of his smile. “I could watch you two kiss forever.”
Allen drew away from Kingston to check in with Riley, but other than looking flustered, he seemed to agree with Jake’s statement since he was nodding along.
“We need to think of a game or an activity that we can do together,” Allen said, holding his foot up and giving it a little shake until Riley took the hint and resumed the massage. “Or we could plan a date for after your practice tomorrow?”
Riley dug his fingers into a tender spot, holding it until Allen moaned softly and went limp in Kingston’s arms. “I’ll counter your offer with a date at practice tomorrow, not after it.”
Allen’s moan turned into an irritated huff because why wouldn’t they try to bring hockey into everything? He should have expected it.
“I agree with Riley,” Jake said, like the traitor he was. “We can sit behind the bench and watch them run drills.”
“Oh yes, how romantic,” Allen grumbled. “Being separated by glass is the perfect way for us to bond.”
The corner of Riley’s mouth lifted in a devious smirk. “Are you saying you don’t want to wear my sweater again, Monroe?”
Allen was not above shoving his foot in Riley’s mouth, but it was tempting. So tempting.
“We’ll come to your practice tomorrow,” Allen began, knowing that he would have to compromise somewhere to keep them motivated. “But then after practice I want to do something else that doesn’t involve hockey.”
He received dazed looks from all sides, and Allen was slowly coming to realize that beyond hockey, these men had no other interests.
“What things do you like to do, Ally?” Kingston asked as he curled himself tighter around Allen and set his chin on his shoulder. “You’re asking us to set the tone here, but I want to learn more about you.”
Jake nodded eagerly along with Kingston’s words, and Riley’s smirk was growing wider by the second, so Allen had no choice but to answer, even if he came across as boring.
“I like to go to the bookstore and browse on my days off,” he said, already hating how awkward and timid he sounded. “And I like visiting animal shelters to walk the dogs and play with the cats, but I usually have to work, so I don’t do a lot with my spare time.”
“We’re going to the bookstore after practice,” Jake declared. “We should pick up more shelves to add to the library so you can fill them with more books.”
Allen would never say no to more books, especially now that he had extra free time to read them, but buying more shelves was a slippery slope that would lead to buying a mansion just so he could continue adding to his collection.
“The shelves in the library are custom-made,” said Riley. “We can’t just buy shitty Ikea ones and pop them in there and expect them to look good. We should build them.”
Kingston scoffed loudly in Allen’s ear like the suggestion was the stupidest thing he’d ever heard. “You’re going to build bookshelves? How? The only tool I’ve ever seen you handle is your dumb cock.”
Allen bit his lip, trying to hide his smile when Riley’s eyes went wide, and his jaw began to drop.
“I don’t think cocks are capable of any level of intelligence,” Jake said, coming to the rescue with his sound logic. “But Riley and I do know how to build bookshelves since we took many woodworking classes together.”
Kingston immediately chuckled, taking Allen along for a bouncy ride as he was jostled by the laughter. “Woodworking, Evans? Just you and Jake, huh?”
Allen was spared from becoming the center of a brawl when Jake swooped in and lifted him from Kingston’s arms, tucking him safely against his chest. The rescue came just in time for Riley to charge at his boyfriend, and the two men immediately tangled together, sending water flying as each tried to overpower the other.
But it turned into more splashing than fighting—a chaotic mess of flailing limbs, laughter, and the occasional colourful curse.
“Can we keep them?” Jake said, speaking quietly into Allen’s ear.
“I think our lives would be a lot quieter if we didn’t,” said Allen. “But that would be boring, wouldn’t it?”
Riley hauled Kingston onto his lap and, somehow, managed to keep him pinned there despite the other man's feral growls and restless attempts to break free.
Allen found himself with a front-row seat to the ensuing standoff as the two rivals locked eyes, each silently measuring the other as the tension between them stretched taut.
Then Kingston made the first move, closing the distance in an instant and slamming their mouths together. He nipped at Riley’s bottom lip until Riley cursed and opened for him, the rest of his words coming out muffled as Kingston forced his tongue inside.
It was hot and messy, and there was far too much spit involved for Allen’s tastes, but he appreciated how into each other they were. Riley’s possessive grip on Kingston’s hair made him want to kick his feet almost as much as Kingston’s aggressive tongue thrusting did.
They were so intent on outdoing each other that Allen suspected he and Jake had been forgotten about, which wasn’t a complaint; it was just impressive.
The only issue was that there was too much visual stimulation going on, and if Allen didn’t get out of the bath now, he knew Jake would end up fucking him right next to Riley and Kingston.
Allen stood from Jake’s lap and froze on the spot—every thought he had coming to a halt when Riley wrapped his hand around Kingston’s now hard cock and started stroking it, dragging a loud moan from the pretty blond.
“Spread your legs wider for me, King. I want to finger that needy hole of yours.”
Allen heard Riley speak the words, but it still shocked him into shutdown mode.
Every one of his senses was overwhelmed by the sight of Kingston’s flushed face and the way he instantly complied with the command, obediently spreading his legs and gasping when Riley began touching him under the water.
It was hard to see anything through the depleting bubbles, but Allen could guess enough from arm movements and sounds. The groan Riley let out as Kingston took over and began stroking their cocks together, and the way Kingston shuddered when Riley’s fingers reached their goal was proof enough.
Allen barely registered the grip of Jake’s hands on his hips—not until something slick and hot found its way between his cheeks and swept over his hole.
The sound he made was comparable to a demon being exorcized from a body by a priest splashing holy water on it, and Allen would have toppled face-first into the water had Jake not been holding him.
“What are you doing?!” Allen wailed, scrambling to find anything to grab on to—and landing on Kingston’s shoulder.
