23. Myraj

“Ahhh. Mm. Just like that,” I whimpered as Micaiah gave me deep back shots. I was thankful for the villa he rented out for us, because it allowed us to be in a separate section from the kids, and no one could hear my screams and moans.

He pulled out and thrust back in me deep again as my pussy spread wide around him. I felt his hands grip my ass and spread them apart before I felt the warmth of his spit pooling there. He spread my hole wide and slipped his thumb inside.

“Ohh, Micaiah. That feels soooo good.”

He pulled it back out before he turned me around on my back and slid into me.

I locked my legs around his waist and dragged my hands down his chest. I had come to learn the myriads of tattoos on his body were somehow linked to his books.

The map on his back was a map of the fictional town he created in one of his mystery series, and he had page numbers tatted on his chest that were to specific quotes in his romance books, which had become my favorite quotes.

“I love you more and more with each passing day, girl. You’re truly my world, Myraj.”

I smiled and pulled him in for a kiss. The way that he made love to my body it was like he was speaking an unwritten form of communication that had been created uniquely for him and me alone.

When he finally turned me around again, he poured lube into my ass. I had promised him that on this vacation we could finally have anal sex, and we had on our second night here. It wasn’t as painful as I expected it to be; in fact, it felt good and amazed me that I could cum that way.

Now whenever he wanted to, I was game for it.

He slid into me in the back and wrapped his arm around the front of me.

I moaned when he circled my clit with his fingers.

My hips rotated in a slow seductive circle until his fingers found their way inside of me, and his dick spread my ass apart as he filled me up in the rear.

Micaiah pumped hard and generously and made love to every part of my body as though it was his first time making love to me. He came a couple of minutes after me, when I was ready to give up because I didn’t think I could take any more.

I collapsed on my belly beside him, and he pulled me onto his chest and kissed my forehead.

“Are you enjoying your birthday so far?”

“I’m loving it, Mr. Livingstone. This has been an amazing day.”

“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking since Malaika was born.”

“About?”

“My pen names. People know who Mike Jamison is, but maybe it’s time they know who MJ Stone is. That pen name is successful on its own. It doesn’t need Mike to stand firm with. You know what I mean? I’ve been thinking about renegotiating those contracts.”

“Baby, where is this coming from?”

“Just thinking about how upset you were when you learned about my pen name and how you felt duped.”

“That’s different. Your readers are okay with not knowing, for the most part, and for those who aren’t okay with not knowing, then they have the option to no longer follow you. Personally, I think it’s fine to leave well enough alone.”

“But you were so upset, and I get it because you were my woman, and I should have told you, but I can’t help but wonder how other people are feeling.”

“What does Arabella say?”

“She and I haven’t agreed on anything in a minute. I thought we were on the same path, but she’s on something different.”

“And what are you going to do about that?”

“I’ve been talking to other agents, mostly those who aren’t in our inner circle. I don’t want to burn bridges or do anything that might seem disrespectful to her, but I do want to consider my options.”

“And what are they?”

“I’m looking closely at a couple of different guys that I know can do the work that I need them to do and get me the pay and rights that I’ve come to expect. One is Kenny Campbell, and the other is Preston Simmons.”

“When you weigh the pros and cons of working with them versus working with Arabella, whom you started your career with, which way are the scales leaning?”

He pulled his fingers through his beard and stared up at the ceiling. I turned on my side and pushed up on my elbow as I looked down at him. “Be honest, Micaiah. This is about your career, not anyone’s emotions.”

“What’s best for me honestly is to go with Kenny Campbell. KC is by far the best option; the only reason I’ve been sticking with Arabella is because she took a chance on me when no one else would.”

“Are you worried there will be bad feelings?”

“Nah, she doesn’t know that I’ve been looking around, but she was the one who once mentioned that I might want to search for different representation. She knew that with the pressure she gave me and us being married once brought conflict of interest into the partnership.”

“I say do what’s best for you, and if that’s Kenny, then go with it.”

He pulled me down and kissed me sweetly. I rested my head on his chest again and breathed a soft sigh.

“We’ve got to shower, because I have one more surprise for you.”

I groaned. “Please tell me that it doesn’t involve hiking. My body is sore.”

He laughed and sat up, rolling me off him. “No, baby. No extreme physical exertion. Now move your ass and let’s hit the showers,” he declared and smacked me on the ass. I moved slowly and headed to the shower where he was waiting.

Our shower turned into another oral session that allowed both of us to be fulfilled sexually before we finished cleaning ourselves and got dressed to leave.

“This night is so perfect, Micaiah,” I declared in a breathless tone after we boarded the small yacht for the sunset cruise on the Amalfi Coast again.

We had started the sunset cruise an hour earlier and taken photos, swam when the crew dropped anchor for us, and returned to the cruise to enjoy prosecco, fresh fruit, and appetizers.

Now we were being treated to a beautiful sunset as radiant hues of reds, golds, and oranges spread across the horizon and dazzled the waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Micaiah had surprised me with a birthday vacation to the Amalfi Coast in Italy. We had spent a few days in Amalfi, and we were spending our last few days in Positano.

We had returned home with our baby girl seven weeks ago, and we had showered her with love and affection during that time, as had Malachi, Mai, and the rest of our family and friends.

I hadn’t left the house at all, not even to work.

I often logged on during the day to take care of business that had to be taken care of, but I left most of the business administration and management to Jade and Evangeline. They hadn’t let me down.

I planned to go back to work in January, and Micaiah told me that he wanted us to have a getaway to preserve the wonderful time we had alone as a family before I returned.

We brought Mai and her boyfriend on vacation with us, as they were helping out with the kids on nights like tonight, where we wanted romance over parenthood.

We had fun during the day touring, shopping, and visiting restaurants with the kids, but some of the evenings and nights, we reserved for ourselves. We made sure that Mai and her boyfriend, Nero, got time together as well.

I rested against Micaiah’s chest, and his arms wrapped around me as we listened to a violinist play a beautiful rendition of Dean Martin’s “Volare (Nel Blu Di Pinto Di Blu),” sung by a rather handsome, older Italian man.

“I’ve never seen a more beautiful sunrise than the one I experienced the day that we met, and now I’ve never seen a more beautiful sunset than the one we just watched.”

“Me either,” I replied and reached up and touched his cheek. “Thank you for this.”

He turned me around to face him. “Myraj, I knew that I loved you, but I never realized just how much until I almost lost you. You know I had given up on the idea of anyone loving me the way I needed them to or being able to accept how whole and fully I loved until I met you. When we first met, I was disappointed when you said all you wanted was one night.”

“Then why did you give me all of you knowing that I would walk away?”

“Because you deserved to have your heart’s desire.

You asked me to give you the best night of your life, and I did.

But it didn’t end there. Myraj, I want to spend the rest of my life making every night magical and beautiful for you.

Will you marry me?” he asked, kneeling before me and opening a ring box that I hadn’t seen him remove from his pocket.

“Ohmigosh, Micaiah! Are you serious?”

“Yes, baby.”

“Yes, I will marry you. I can’t imagine my life without you in it.”

He took my hand and slid the platinum marquise-cut diamond ring on my finger before he stood and wrapped me in his arms. We kissed as others applauded us and cheered. I pulled back slightly and looked into his eyes. “You really are book bae.”

He laughed and shook his head at me before he joined my mouth with his again. We had spent the day with our kids, celebrating my birthday, and we had a birthday dinner with them, but I couldn’t imagine anything making this birthday more perfect than the man of my dreams proposing to me.

He blew my mind away with how intentional he always was about me. It wasn’t an easy road finding him, but it was a journey worth traveling, and I was so thankful for him.
