Epilogue #3

“It won’t always be like this,” I remind him. “Graduate, get a job, and then promise me you’re going to get a life. You can save all our asses while also meeting someone, Ev.”

“You taking Uncle Vitaly’s job as family matchmaker?” he asks.

“No way in hell,” I tell him. “I just know how happy I am and want that for you too. Plus, you’re too smart to not pass down those genius genes.”

Ev runs a hand through his hair and says, “I think it’s much more likely that I’ll be everyone’s favorite uncle.”

“Well, that’s not going to work for me,” I say, ignoring the amused look he gives me. “I need to get payback for the Pop-Tart incident, and I can’t do that if you stay single.”

“That was over two years ago,” he says.

“And I’m still a little pissed about it,” I tell him.

“I’m confident you’ll eventually get over it.”

When it’s obvious he isn’t going to budge on this, I hold up my hands and say, “All right, I’ll let it go for now. You obviously don’t have time in your life for anything other than your beloved textbooks, but I’m not letting it go forever. Rowan needs more cousins to play with.”

“Aren’t you and Sitka already talking about having more kids?”

I grin, remembering how much cum I just filled my girl with and say, “We are, yeah.”

“Well, all right then. Problem solved.”

“I said cousins, Ev, not siblings.” I glance at the stack of books. “You might want to start paying more attention to details if you expect to pass the bar exam.”

He laughs and tells me to fuck off.

I stand, anxious to get back to my family, and give him a quick hug in case he’s starved for human affection.

“I’m serious about supper. Your ass better be there or I’m going to come and find you and drag you back to our place myself.”

“I’ll be there,” he promises me as he walks me to the door. Before he opens it, he checks the security camera on his phone, making sure the hallway is empty.

“I feel like your dirty little secret,” I tell him.

“You are,” he says while he fights a smile. “A secret that would get my ass immediately kicked out of law school.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure no one sees me.”

When he’s sure it’s clear, he opens the door and I sneak out and head for the parking garage.

Sitka is still asleep when I get back and walk into our bedroom.

Before getting into bed, I check the baby cam and make sure Rowan is still sleeping and safe.

When I’m confident his little chest is rising and falling like it should be, I strip down and crawl under the covers, wrapping an arm around my wife and pulling her against me.

She tucks her body in close to mine and hugs the arm I have wrapped around her chest. I kiss her head while she snuggles her ass against my dick.

“Such a tease,” I whisper near her ear.

I hear her soft laugh before she kisses my hand. “Everything go okay?”

“Yeah, Ev says he’ll be here on Saturday.”

“Good. We can invite everyone over.”

Her voice is thick with sleep, and I have to fight the urge to part her thighs and slide back into her.

“That’s what I told him. He needs a good meal and some sleep. I really doubt the sleep part is going to happen, but we can at least make sure he gets fed.”

“We can,” she agrees, turning her head so she can kiss me.

“I’ll let everyone know to be here. Rowan will love it.”

I feel her smile before she says, “He will, yeah.”

I kiss her again before resting my head on the pillow next to hers. When we’re in the city, she doesn’t smell like salt water and pine, but I’d still recognize her scent anywhere, and when I breathe her in and tighten my grip on her, she relaxes against me, already falling back asleep.

Staying awake, I listen to the sound of her breathing while I think about our future.

Our families keep growing, new babies being born each year, and I can’t wait to see how many Sitka and I have.

The Bratva is well and truly secure with a third generation who will one day be ready to take the reins, just like my cousins and I did.

I’ll do everything I can to make sure Rowan is ready for the task and to make his job as easy as possible when the time comes.

For now, though, I don’t want him worrying about anything.

I want him happy and carefree for as long as possible.

Everything else can wait.

I hug my wife, so fucking grateful she fell in love with me, because I can’t imagine my life without her.

I have no idea what challenges we might face in the future, but I know I can handle anything as long as she’s by my side.

She’s the other half I never knew I needed, and the one I now can’t live without.

With my wife in my arms and our son right across the hall, I finally let myself relax into sleep, knowing he’ll be waking us up early, and knowing I’m going to love every second of it.
