Chapter 40
I’m pacing the living room when a car pulls up. I dart to the window, and Steven chuckles.
“Chill, dude. You guys have gone out hundreds of times before.”
“Yes, but not like this, Steven. What if it all comes crashing down around me? I can’t lose him.”
“What if it doesn’t? If it does, it will be awkward for a bit. But you know, Killian, man, he’ll always look out for you. Just go have fun. I won’t wait up.”
Laughing, he turns back to his game, and I make my way to the door.
The knock startles me. I pull the door open, and he’s there.
He’s wearing the white tank with that military shirt that I fucking love him in.
His jeans are stuffed into his combat boots, his tattoos crawl up his neck, and his shirt sleeves are rolled up, showing off his thick forearms. My mouth waters.
He leans against the doorframe and tosses me a wink.
“Fuck, you look hot.” He steps towards me, his hand snakes around my waist. He crashes my body into his and kisses me.
I melt into him, my body moulding to his.
My tongue slides over his, and I groan into the embrace, sliding my arms around his neck as he does the same, pulling me closer.
I whimper, actually fucking whimper. He pulls back, gives me the biggest grin, takes my hand, turns and leads me down the path towards the Uber that’s parked at the curb.
I’m starting to question my outfit choice, but it’s too late now.
He opens the car door for me and steps to the side.
I shuffle over, and he gets inside. He sits as close as physically possible, his leg pressed up against mine.
He tells the taxi driver where to take us before resting his hand on my leg.
He leaves it there, and I stare down at it.
His large hand and thick fingers grip my thigh, his thumb rubs absently over the fabric of my jeans, and I swallow hard.
He makes me feel giddy and overwhelmed, and a little out of control.
My heart pounds as the warmth from his hand sears through the denim.
I stare down at his hand, the tattoos start on the back of it and creep all the way up his arm.
I know where else they go. I start to fidget.
I can feel him gazing at me, and I meet it with mine.
“You good, Nerd?”
I give him a curt nod and sit back in my feelings.
I’ve never been on an actual date before, not like this, with him.
He makes me nervous and excited but overstimulated at the same time.
I want him to wrap me in those muscular arms and hold me tight.
I’ve been out with him millions of times; he’s fun, playful, and always touchy, but this time it feels so different. More… intense, more important.
The car pulls up, and we climb out. People are already queuing for the club, a mile long, but Killian takes my hand and walks to the front.
The bouncer nods to him, and we step through.
Killian claps him on the shoulder, winking and pulling me along behind him.
The girl at the kiosk to pay sits straight and tucks her hair behind her ear.
“Hi, Killian.” She bats her eyelashes at him, and he leans toward the glass.
“Hey, sweetheart.” He gives her a genuine smile, and she flushes a little and nods towards the door. “He’s with me.”
“Oh. Okay.” Her own smile drops, and she gives a tight-lipped greeting, and we walk straight in.
He leads me to the bar. People stop and turn, their faces lighting up as he passes.
He gives some of them a nod, and others he claps on the shoulders as we walk by before we reach the bar.
He puts me in front of him and presses me against the bar as he wraps his arms around me, resting his cheek against mine.
“What’s your poison?” he whispers across my cheek, his breath skating across my skin, making me shudder.
“Erm, a bottle of cider, please.”
“That fruity shit you like?” He smirks against my cheek.
“It’s not shit.” I smile. The bartender comes over. Killian leans against my back, pinning me, and shakes his hand. After he orders the drinks, I reach down into my pocket and pull out my wallet, but Killian grips my wrist.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
“Paying.”
“I don’t fucking think so.” He shoves my hand into my pocket, and I flush, feeling a little silly.
I always had to pay when I went out with Derren. “I just thought… I assumed…” I blow out a breath, realising I don’t think I’ve ever paid when I’ve gone out with Killian. I take the drink from the bar and turn in his arms. He pays and leans down, stealing a kiss, and I groan.
“Come on, let’s go over there.” He holds my hand and pulls me along through the crowd of people who want to stop and talk to him, but he just acknowledges them and keeps moving. We find a secluded spot, and he pulls me into his chest, his back against the wall, and he takes a drink.
I sip my drink but can’t take my eyes off his lips as he licks the liquid away.
His hand slides around my waist as he tugs me closer, taking another drink before leaning in and kissing me.
My hand grips the neck of the bottle, and the other one slides up and over his chest, feeling his pecs ripple under my touch.
He swipes his tongue around my mouth, over my lips, and he groans into me.
“You taste so fucking sweet.”
I shiver. That raspy deepness that rumbles through my chest and down to my dick has me wanting to be all slutty and climb him like a tree, but we’ve only been here ten minutes.
I don’t actually want to go home yet. I smile, and my traitorous hips grind against him.
He grins into the kiss, pulling me tighter, his thick, hard dick presses into me. Oh my God.
He pulls back, his eyes filled with lust, and gives me a filthy smile.
“Stay with me tonight.” It’s not a question, but I nod anyway because I’m ready. There’s a cough behind us, and I turn my head, but Killian doesn’t let me go.
“Killer,” the voice says, and Killian smiles.
“Hey, man, nice to see you again.” He gives him a tight-lipped smile.
“Yeah, you wanna meet up later?”
“Nah, I’m busy.”
I watch the conversation, Killian’s grip on me never faltering.
“Maybe another time?” He smiles, stepping in a little closer, like I’m not even here. Reaching for Killian’s arm. Killian stares at him, scowls, and before his hand can touch him, he growls.
“This is Scott… My boyfriend.” I turn, still in Killian’s embrace, and reach a hand out. He stares at my hand, his face morphs, but he takes it, shakes it, and gives Killian a curt nod.
“See you around then.”
“Probably not.” Killian’s gaze drops back to me as the guy stands there, confused. Killian turns me around, grips my chin, and lifts it.
“Hey.” He smiles.
“Hey,” I grin back, and his lips meet mine in a tender kiss.
I slide my hand up to his chest, and he grips my ass, tugging me against him.
His lips slide over mine, and I twist his top.
His other arm rests on my hip, still holding his bottle, and I start to relax.
His body starts to move against mine, and I chuckle as he makes me dance with him.
I grin into the kiss, but neither of us stops.
Our bodies seem to just move instinctually as we gyrate against each other to the music.
He peppers my cheeks and neck with kisses in between swigging from his bottle.
Every time I take a drink, his lips chase mine, longing for the sweetness of my cider.
“You could just drink the cider, you know.” I smirk at him.
“It tastes so much better from your mouth, though,” he groans and grips me tighter, but I lean back, giving us some separation.
“I need the loo.” He nods towards them, but pulls me to him.
“You want me to come with you?”
“No. I’m a big boy. I can piss on my own.” I turn and walk away, and he smacks my ass. I’m already laughing when I glance over my shoulder and grin at him as I walk away.
I push into the toilets and make my way to the end urinal. After pulling out my dick, I stand and piss, thinking about nothing.
“So, boyfriend, huh? How long have you been together?” I turn to see the same guy as before, feeling really weird that he’s at the urinal next to me.
He’s taller than me and literally staring at my dick.
It’s an unwritten rule that guys don’t use the urinal next to another guy; it’s just odd.
I shake and tuck it away before walking over to the sink, and I glance back at him.
“It’s fairly new, not long really.”
He comes to stand beside me. “Word of advice…”
I turn to face him. “They call him a one-hit wonder, and it isn’t for his skills in the ring.
Trust me, I know firsthand. I was the one fucking him not that long ago.
He’s a great guy. But, boyfriend, don’t be fooled, sweetheart.
Once he’s fucked you, you’ll be begging for scraps like the rest of us. ”
“Is that so?” His voice, gravelly and dark, echoes around the stalls. Killian stands there, resting a shoulder against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. His posture is casual: the glare in his eye is anything but.
“Killer, I didn’t mean anything by it. We had a great time. I just didn’t want him to think he’s special. I didn’t want him led on to think there would be more between you two.”
“Special? He is fucking special. You and I were a fuck, that’s all it ever was, and you knew that before you pursued me.
But him, he’s worth ten of you. Don’t think because you couldn’t secure round two that he hasn’t already gone multiple rounds with me.
He’s my forever. You’re the past. Don’t make it awkward or anything.
It’s not. It was fun. But don’t mistake me, I will not let you talk to him like that, when you know fuck all about me. ”
The guy holds his hands up. “Hey, I’m sorry, okay? I don’t want any trouble.”
