Chapter 47
“Hurry up, Nerd,” I shout from the bottom of the stairs. I pace back and forth, and Steven glares at me over the back of the sofa.
“Will you sit the fuck down? He’ll be down in a minute.”
“What if he says no, what if he doesn’t want to?”
“Fucking hell, Killian, you’re acting like a right ball sack. You’re asking him to move in; he practically lives there anyway.”
“Yeah, but…” There’s a creak on the stairs, and I spin to watch Scott come slowly down them. My mouth hangs slack.
He looks fucking gorgeous. His hair is left natural, and the curl it has looks like I’ve run my fingers through it already.
His cheeks are flushed, his hazel eyes shine as he gazes at me through those thick-rimmed glasses that frame his face perfectly.
He gives me a small smile, and his dimple pops.
I relax as he comes towards me. He’s wearing a crisp white shirt and a navy-blue, striped, sleeveless sweater vest. His dark blue jeans make his legs look long and lean.
He walks over, wraps his arms around me, and kisses me, slow and languid, as his tongue slides back and forth over mine, making my toes curl.
I wrap my arms tighter around him, gripping his ass as I pull him to me.
“I’m still fucking here, guys,” Steven grunts from the sofa. Scott’s smile spreads, loving how he’s making his brother feel uncomfortable. I press closer and kiss him harder before I pull back.
“Shoes.” I nod at the rack. When he turns, I smack his ass, and he yelps. I feel like a fucking teenager; I’ve never been happier. I can’t believe it’s only been three months.
He grabs his Converse and sits on the bottom step.
I wait patiently, my arms crossed over my body, staring down at him.
Something so simple as putting his shoes on shouldn’t be as sexy as it is.
When he stands, I step forward, grabbing him and crashing him into my body.
His arms hug me, and I crash my lips to his, nipping and sucking at his mouth.
“Let’s go, beautiful.” I reach down and grab his hand.
“Don’t wait up.” I toss a wink at Steven.
He flips us off. I tug Scott towards the door, leading him straight out to the car.
I open the door for him, and he kisses me as he slides into the passenger seat.
I close his door and step around to the driver’s side.
After climbing in, I drive us to Scott’s favourite restaurant. When we pull up, he smiles at me.
“I love it here.”
“I know.” I chuckle. “I’m thinking of buying shares in the place.”
“Really?” he gasps.
“No, Nerd.” I laugh. “Come on, let’s go and eat.”
We step inside and are led to our table at the back of the room.
Scott orders whatever he wants, and my hands start to sweat.
I don’t know why I’m so nervous. Steven’s right.
He already practically lives with me, but making it official is massive for me.
We eat, making small talk about the shop and university.
I can’t bear to be away from him anymore.
“Move in with me,” I blurt out.
His chopsticks halfway to his mouth. “What?” Scott gasps.
“I know you heard me, Nerd. I don’t want to be without you, not even for one night. Move in with me.” His eyes glaze over, but he nods. I stand and step towards him. With a smile, I pull him from his seat and wrap my arms around him, giving him a tender kiss. “Is that a yes?”
“Yes.” He laughs. “Yes, Killian, yes.” I slam my lips to his and hold him tight. He sighs, and I step back.
“Food. Then, let’s go home.” He grins at me. It’s only a matter of him packing up his clothes. He won’t need anything else. And as long as I have him, neither will I.
He’s all I never knew I needed. The best thing that ever happened to me.
My best friend. My Lover. My everything.
