Part Two
Melanie goes to a party hosted by Sin and Caspian's family, and the Risler pack pull her away into a private room to scent mark her, but then she is attacked by Zania and her pack. Melanie escapes by threatening them.
At the same party, Melanie meets Camille and the Hiscoxes, who threaten Melanie and Camille, and Kai and Caspian attack them to protect them/because it's fun. Caspian threatens Melanie, she perfumes, and Sin carries her out of the room.
Sin and Melanie have sex in Zania's office.
Kai is furious, gets drunk, and yells at Caspian before leaving the party. Caspian talks to Camille who essentially 'breaks up' with him.
Sin tells Melanie who Camille really is to Caspian, and Melanie runs off and finds Kai in the garden. He bursts into tears, and they have sex, and he bites her for the first time.
Melanie's landlord finds out she's an omega and threatens her to have sex with him or he'll report her and have her arrested. She asks her sister for help, but Rosa refuses. Melanie has no choice but to call the Risler pack, even though she's angry at Sin and Caspian.
Sin helps Melanie clear out her nest while Caspian threatens her landlord. He finds out the landlord is working for Zania, and that Zania gave Melanie a check. He confronts Melanie about it and she snarls back at him. Sin gets turned on by them both.
Kai brings Melanie to his nest and locks her in there for a week with him because he doesn't want his alphas near her/wants to bond with her.
During this time, Melanie tells Kai she can't have children, and they both agree to be childless by choice.
Kai is now Team Brandy, and totally possessive of her.
Caspian visits Zania, who threatens him and tells him that she's sent the Hiscox to assault Camille.
Caspian runs across the city to reach Camille, and he finds her room is a bloodbath.
Sin and Flint, Camille's bodyguard and scent match, are clearing up the mess, but before Caspian can do anything, Sin shoots him.
