Epilogue
“Y ou were a gorgeous bride,” I tell Egypt after her wedding ceremony to Garrett.
She’s never looked lovelier than she does in the crepe chiffon dress. The sweetheart neckline highlights her bountiful breasts that I’m a tad envious of while the thigh-high slit is all Egypt. The Sandals location in Curacao was the perfect setting for them to say their vows. I got choked up when Egypt spoke about how she knew Garrett was her someone special from the moment they met at her restaurant.
“And you were equally as stunning as a bridesmaid, girlfriend,” Egypt replies, “or maybe it’s because you have Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome with you.” She nods at Dominic, who is looking hot in a black tuxedo suit, pristine shirt, silk tie and gold cufflinks. “Welcome to the family.”
“I’m glad to be part of it,” Dominic responds. He invited his entire family, mother, sisters Ciera and Bliss, and Justice to the festivities all expenses paid. They are all on the dance floor cutting it up with the rest of the guests. “I’m lucky to be reunited with this beautiful lady.” He hugs me to his side.
“I love Black love. You guys have fun tonight and do absolutely everything I would do.” Egypt winks.
“I’m so happy for her,” I say as she sashays over to Garrett’s side and he plants a soft kiss on her lips. Who would have thought several years ago that nearly half of us would be married and the rest happily ensconced in committed relationships?
“Penny for your thoughts,” Dominic says, resting his head on mine as I watch the Gems dance with their respective partners. Wynter glides across the floor with Riley. Her baby bump is visible now because she’s due in several months. I can’t wait to be an auntie again and maybe one day have a family of my own.
Egypt and Garrett are all booed up; Asia and Blake are closer than close. Meanwhile, Shay and Colin are whispering sweet nothings in each other’s ears, and Lyric and Devon are slow grinding on the dance floor while Kianna attempts to babysit Ryan, but Asia’s toddler is running all over the place.
“I’m just thinking that maybe the Gems have a heavenly angel looking over us because ever since we received our inheritances from Aunt Helaine, each of us have not only achieved our dreams, but we’ve found love along the way.”
“Then I’m thankful to the angel above because she led me back to you,” Dominic replies.
“Thank you for loving me, Dominic, and I promise to never take you or our love for granted ever again.”
“Deal.” And he seals his vow with a kiss.
